Housebuilder Persimmon said it has sold more homes this year but warned that buyers were squeezed by still-high mortgage rates and rising household costs.

00:09but warned that buyers were still being squeezed by high mortgage rates and rising household costs.
00:16The developer told investors that it completed the sale of 4,605 homes in the first half of 2025,
00:24which is 4% more than the same time last year.
00:27The average sale price of a home also jumped by 8% to about £284,000.
