The Times recently reported that average UK house prices could reach around £440,000 by 2030. Do you think the government is doing enough to make housing affordable?

00:13agree with. I think we've got to use the space that we have wisely. But then again, you do
00:20want affordable housing.
00:22For young people who are looking to own houses, it is getting very expensive and more people
00:27are having to rent.
00:28In terms of how much it costs might be the pressing issue, maybe not the available amounts
00:34of space.
00:35I saw a stat the other day that the amount of houses we've built pre-Margaret Thatcher
00:41and post-Margaret Thatcher is just not enough. We have the land and I think it's important
00:46to preserve green space, but I think we can do that in a way that also there's more houses
00:52because our population is growing and the problem isn't a growing population. We need
00:57a growing population in order to support our services.
