Ford Motor Co. issued a recall for more than 103,000 F-150 pickup trucks from model years 2023 to 2025 due to a damaged rear axle bolt, according to the NHTSA. The defect could cause the vehicle to roll away when parked without the brake engaged or result in loss of power. Affected trucks include those with the “Trailer Tow Max Duty” package and a 9.75-inch heavy-duty axle with a 3/4 float design. Dealers will repair the defect free of charge, with the NHTSA estimating over 1% of vehicles are impacted. The recall adds to a series of recent Ford recalls, including over 850,000 vehicles for an engine stalling problem, Lincoln Aviators for rear window bar adhesive issues, and Mustang Mach-Es for a rear door defect.
