00:08Sri Lanka, some of these teams have been pulled together by team managers overnight.
00:12They'll be strong.
00:14The key battle that we're looking for is India A against India B we think, don't we?
00:22I remember at one particular point of time the Sri Lankans used to be a very strong outfit in the 4x400.
00:28They would come to India in the Grand Prix events and really get the better of the Indians.
00:34Sugat Tilakaratne was one name I remember who was an Asian.
00:39The best I can't.
00:58They finally set off now here in the first of the 400 meters.
01:08Out here.
01:09Of course, the favorites but don't miss out on the Sri Lankan Iraqians.
01:14Out here.
01:15The Iraqis making sure that they would.
01:18want to give their very best out here.
01:19That's a bit of a surprise.
01:20Yes, normally a two-band or three-band stagger.
01:22I think they've gotten a lot of the best out here.
01:25They've gotten the first of the 400 meters.
01:26Out here.
01:27Out here.
01:28Of course, the favorites but don't miss out on the Sri Lankans.
01:29Out here.
01:30Out here.
01:31The Iraqis making sure that they would.

02:11Out here.
02:12Out here.
02:13Out here.
02:14huge ride for the most experienced of the Indian runners out here. He continues the
02:20same momentum. I don't think he's going to push himself because he's got nothing to really lose
02:27out here. Well it makes it exciting doesn't it. This next handover where it could be very tight
02:34remember they line up from the inside in the order they were at at halfway but this is the
02:38halfway point in the race. We've only got two laps to go and you could fit all three in a phone box.
02:44I thought that after the first 200 meters it would be Vishal Piquet. It's now going to be left to the two of them Chaudhary and Dharambeer for India. They continued that momentum of that lead but the Sri Lankans have slowly but surely slipped in now.
03:03It's a different game plan for the Sri Lankans. I think he's gone out very riskily the Sri Lankan here. You can see his eyes are blazing. He's full on but let's see if the
03:13Galactic sniper comes into play in the closing 50 meters because that was full on. To go that quickly past there's sometimes a price to be paid.
03:22That lead is not going to hold him. That lead is not going to hold him in a good step for a long time because the Indians from the inside have made it. That was a change in strategy. They got planned but being into action out there.
03:36Well it's deafening. All the kids have come down to the edge of the rail right by the finish line. Not over yet but India have got some firepower on this last leg but the other two teams are not rolling over.
04:00Dharambeer it is who takes the anchor for India. He's been a strong 400 meters by himself. Iraq and Sri Lanka are not wanting to give up there. They're pushing Dharambeer there towards the final 60 odd meters. I suspect he'll take it away.
04:17Look at this for a finish. It's going to the wire and it's going to be Sri Lanka. What a race.
04:23Oh. That was some run on the final leg there. Did I say that the Indians will take it away towards the end?
04:34It's not over till the fat lady sings.
04:36Well his team will carry him shoulder high. It's quiet in the crowd right down because it did look like a lap of honour at one point but it's that whole thing of over committing down the back straight because it's a fine judgment with the levels of lactic that will keep you pumping down the home straight and the Indians haven't gone to each other.
05:01Look at this. Look at this. Look at how far he's coming back from. He's in third here. Now second and now with only 10 meters to go. Wow. What an anchor leg that was.
05:12Well they certainly kept themselves at 308.22. And that's a picture which I'm sure the Emerald Isle will celebrate the four of them.
05:31We've been talking about historically how strong the Sri Lankans are.
05:36Four times four hundred meters. Really.
05:38Trotter timing of three minutes 0.8.22 seconds.
05:41And the winning team is Sri Lanka.
05:44They surely need a standing ovation don't they?
05:47Yes. They they I mean all three teams stay together very well.
05:52That could have been a procession instead of which it was closer than some of the sprint races that we've seen today over 100 and 200.
05:58After 1600 meters of racing there was very little to choose.
06:02Yes. The difference was the Sri Lankan anchor runner.
06:08Yes. Likewise the Iraqi contingent the the quartet was good as well.
06:13So I think they were in my lift at lunchtime.
06:16I wondered what their speciality was and they were pretty good at 4x4.
06:21And the fireworks have begun in the background.
06:45The drone's going up to explore. There it is.
