00:07official visit to Malaysia, was accorded an official welcome at the Perdana Putra complex
00:13on Tuesday morning.
00:14He was received by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, followed by the playing of
00:19both nations' anthems.
00:21Yunus then inspected a guard of honour mounted by three officers and 103 personnel from the
00:271st Battalion of the Royal Ranger Regiment.
00:31Also present were Deputy Prime Ministers Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri
00:37Fadila Yousuf, other ministers, foreign diplomats and senior government officials.
00:43Both leaders are expected to review the progress of Malaysia-Bangladesh ties, focusing on trade
00:49and investment, labour, education, tourism and defence, as well as regional and international
00:56developments of mutual interest.
00:59Anwar and Yunus will also witness the exchange of several memoranda of understanding covering
01:05defence, energy, strategic and international studies, semiconductor capacity building and
01:11trade promotion.
