Grimsby v Shrewsbury - Ollie Westbury preview
Transcript
00:00Matt Shrewsbury's Sundorn Castle training ground where we have just spoken to Shrewsbury head coach Michael Appleton
00:07ahead of the long trip to Grimsby tomorrow evening as Shrewsbury kick off their Carabao Cup campaign.
00:14Some interesting lines about Appleton after he's had a couple of days to think about the defeat up at Trammeer at the weekend.
00:20A really disappointing day for Shrewsbury and he kind of reveals that he felt a little bit kind of humiliated.
00:27You know, and he didn't say that lightly, but a little bit humiliated by that result at the weekend.
00:33Shrewsbury have made a sign-in. Tommy McDermott coming in on a season-long loan deal from Burnley.
00:39That's something. Midfielder, I think he's got a variety of attributes, something that's been in the pipeline for a while.
00:45But as ever with Premier League loans, sometimes you just have to wait until you can get the all clear to kind of finalise the deal.
00:55On the Carabao Cup game to tomorrow night, it's looking as though Shrewsbury will probably make a couple of changes.
01:04Michael Appleton, you know, probably going to have to shuffle the pack.
01:09It goes from 0 to 100 very quickly for Shrewsbury Town right now as they kind of ease their way into the football season.
01:16But obviously no midweek game last week, but they have obviously tomorrow night at Grimsby.
01:20Then they play Saturday and then they play Knox County. So expecting to see a couple of changes.
01:24A few will be enforced. Hopefully Eli Harrison, the town goalkeeper, will be able to play.
01:32He's made a bit of progress in the last couple of days.
01:35So Michael Appleton pretty positive when reflecting on his fitness.
01:39As they make the trip to Grimsby, let's keep our fingers crossed for a more positive result.
