00:00I am here at Shrewsbury Town's Sundawn Castle training base. You can see the training ground

00:08in the background. We have spoken to the Shrewsbury Town head coach, Gareth Ainsworth, ahead of

00:12the trip to Charlton this weekend. It was a very long interview, 17 minutes on the record

00:18with the BBC and then followed up with a few questions from myself. Plenty of newsworthy

00:24stuff to get into. So much has happened at Shrewsbury Town over the last week or so.

00:28We've had the club captain leaving, we've had incomings, we've had outgoings. So there's

00:32so much stuff to cover. Probably the main newsworthy lines to come out of the press

00:36conference though would suggest that Aaron Pierre's injury, the hamstring strain that

00:40he picked up last week or tweak that he picked up last week in the cross-border derby against

00:45Wrexham is not as severe as first thought. It's touch and go potentially whether he's

00:50going to be fit for the weekend or not, but it's not as bad as Shrewsbury first thought.

00:56Other things to come out of the press conference is that it looks very likely that the remaining

01:00three loanees, obviously Shrewsbury, 50% of the loanees, Tommy O'Reilly, Charles Sago

01:06Jr and Josh Coyote have returned to their parent clubs or obviously gone back out on

01:10loan. It looks as though the three remaining ones in Josh Feeney, Leo Castledine, which

01:14the Shropshire Star reported earlier this week, and Afonso Ojo are actually going to

01:20remain in Shropshire for the remainder of the season. Well, as Gareth said, he wants

01:24them and if it's got anything to do with him, then they will stay in Shropshire for the

01:27remainder of the season. Some nice words from Ainsworth on Captain Carl Winchester, who

01:33earlier this week departed going back to his native Northern Ireland to sign for Derry

01:39FC as he wants to be closer to his family. So, yes, of course, there were some really

01:46nice things on there and also some good lines on the new arrivals, Riccardo Di Nanga, Callum

01:54Stewart and Dom Gape. He expects Di Nanga and Callum Stewart to be more development

02:01players, whereas Dom Gape comes in and describes him as a real leader and perhaps that replacement

02:05in the middle of the park for Carl Winchester, who has obviously departed. A player that

02:08Gareth has worked with on several occasions, well, not several occasions, for many years

02:13at Wickham Wanderers and a player that comes in with some League One experience. More stories

02:17to come from me in terms of what Shrewsbury's squad depth is going to look like for the

02:22remainder of the window. As Gareth does say, he wants a couple more players through the

02:25door between now and February the 3rd and also what sort of player it is that he wants
