00:00Yep, that's me stomping on a ton of grapes. Come with me for Harvest at Los Milics, a winery in
00:05Elgin, Arizona, just an hour south of Tucson, where there are some truly incredible wines
00:10being made just north of the border. Harvest starts just after midnight as the vineyard crew
00:15picks all kinds of grapes from Grenache to Vermentino to Petit Monsang all before sunrise.
00:21I said hello to the horses and snacked on some grapes. Yes, wine grapes are entirely edible and
00:26very delicious. Once picked, it's a race against the clock to get the grapes back to the winery
00:31before they warm up. Some of the grapes are de-stemmed and put through the press, and I got to
00:35try some super tasty fresh grape juice. Then things become a little bubbly during fermentation.
00:40At Los Milics, they use an ancient technique, foot treading, for their stellar rosé. I had the honor
00:45of stomping on a whole metric ton of grapes this day. First, I stood in a sanitizer bucket full of
00:51solution, and then came the grapes. And believe me, it's a real workout, but it yields some seriously
00:57delicious results.
