Has the 1.5°C goal set out in the Paris Climate Agreement been breached?

In the past 25 months, just four did not see the average temperature exceed 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. Does this mean the Paris Climate Agreement failed?

00:00July 2025 was the third hottest month on record globally, the latest climate bulletin from the EU's climate service Copernicus showed.
00:10In Europe, the average temperature for July 2025 is just over 21 degrees Celsius, 1.30 degrees above the 1991 to 2020 average for July, making it the fourth warmest July on record.
00:27Meanwhile, July 2025 was 1.25 degrees above the pre-industrial level globally. It was only the fourth month in the last 25 months, with a global temperature less than 1.5 degrees above this level.
00:42Does this mean the landmark Pirates Agreement, which is ratified by all EU member states and aims to limit the long-term average temperature increase to 1.5 degrees above the pre-industrial level, has failed?
00:55The short answer is no. For this, levels have to be breached for at least two decades.
01:00The Paris Agreement refers to a long-term average temperature of 1.5 that shouldn't be exceeded in order to avoid the most catastrophic and irreversible consequences of climate change.
01:16What we have seen over the past couple of years is temporary breaches of this limit.
01:25But once we have reached this 20-year average global temperature above 1.5, that's when we can consider that we have exceeded the limit of the Paris Agreement.
01:37Recent predictions show that the breaching of this temperature might occur as soon as 2030.
01:42This long-term warming trend is directly related to the accumulation of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
01:48In other words, climate change hasn't stopped.
01:51Across Europe, the effects of this are being witnessed, from the extreme heat to the catastrophic floods affecting several countries this summer.
01:58Experts are clear, this warming trend won't stop if greenhouse gases continue to be emitted.
02:05Even if at some point in the next few years we might reach this 1.5 degree limit set by the Paris Agreement,
02:17we must continue doing everything we can to cut greenhouse gas emissions.
02:26As we often say, every fraction of the green matter.
02:30If greenhouse gases are not stabilized or decreased, experts have warned that the world should prepare for new temperature records as well as a worsening of their impact.
02:39At first, we're worried about this one.
02:40It will take the same time to get one of the big gaps.
02:42We will be on 5%.
02:43We'll see you later on in this next few days.
02:44We'll see you later on in this week.
02:45We'll see you later on in the next few days as soon as you're on the next few days.
02:46I'm not planning on doing this.
02:47This is not a useful task.
02:48I just want to show you later on in this week.
02:49I have only been at this week.
02:50I have lots of different times.
02:51I'm planning on working on the next few days.
02:53If you need to have the heavy-feARK standards,
02:54you can also make it to make it more formal.
02:55I'm planning on raising this week,
02:57I've been up to the same month.
02:58I'm planning on the next week and I've been working on the same day
