00:00An UMNO leader has described former MCA Vice President Ti Lian Kerr as an instigator trying

00:06to push MCA to end its decades-long membership in the Barça National Coalition.

00:12UMNO Supreme Council Member Pouat Zarkashi said there were several personalities in MCA

00:17who had been strongly advocating the party's exit from BN, including Ti.

00:22The Ringit Assemblyman claimed that Ti had a personal agenda in doing so,

00:27particularly to contest the 16th general election.

00:31In a Facebook post, Pouat said Ti's chances of contesting G16 are gone with BN working with BN,

00:38adding that Ti might fare better with PAS's backing.

00:42He also said that Ti appeared confident that PAS would be willing to sideline Gerrakan and choose MCA.

00:48Yesterday, Ti said MCA must decide whether to leave or remain in BN as UMNO and BN forge closer ties.
