00:00Welcome back. In northwest China and in Gansu Province, rescue teams are using cutting-edge
00:12technology to streamline the search for 28 missing people as the duration of rains caused landslides
00:17and flooding in Yuzong County. The disaster which occurred last Thursday night also led 15 dead and
00:2315 injured. Rescue teams have deployed drones with aeromagnetic detection equipment to spot
00:29potential trapped victims in a key search area where a two-story building and a single-family home
00:34were leveled. The rescue efforts, which include sniffer dogs and handheld equipment, are focused
00:40on finding the missing people, whereas over 9,000 people have been evacuated and relocated.
00:45First, we use aeromagnetic detection equipment mounted on drones on-site to survey a high-risk
00:57area where most likely there may be trapped people. Once this area is identified, we will
01:03use two other new equipment. This one, for example, is a body gas detector, it can detect very weak
01:10characteristic gases in the human body. The other one, is a portable body detector, which detects very
01:17weak signals such as breathing, pulse and heartbeat from trapped people.
