00:00If we look at the pitching matchups down in the Big A for this game, Cal Quantrill going up against Joey Wentz.
00:05Wentz is a left-handed pitcher for the Braves. Quantrill a right-handed pitcher for the Miami Marlins.
00:09903-904 on the rotation of 135 start. Favorite overnight, Tom, maybound minus 125.
00:14It's going up a little bit higher. Anywhere between minus 130s to minus 140 in the sports betting markets.
00:19And a total that's listed at eight and a half. The Marlins letting a lot of people down, Tom, back here from what I hear, huh?
00:25Let me down last night. I was on them for the second game. Again, I just don't expect many teams to get swept in a doubleheader.
00:33You know, Cal Quantrill, I don't think he's a great pitcher. And looking back at either his stats or his game log, you know, seven earned runs against Houston is bad.
00:41But then he goes through the stretch where he's, you know, putting up four games in a row where he's two total earned runs.
00:47Then he kind of has another blow-up game versus Cincinnati. Then he goes through another stretch where he's only giving up two, three earned runs.
00:51Like, it's not that bad. He's not a big strikeout pitcher.
00:55Joey Wentz is not a good pitcher either, though. And Donnie, like, I don't know if it's just, again, recency bias because I was on the Marlins last night.
01:03They didn't come through. But this is the third team for Joey Wentz this season.
01:06He has an ERA over five. He's an X-flip at 4.6 on the entire season.
01:11Am I wrong to say that I think the Braves are the right side, but I don't like their price.
01:15Therefore, I should just be backing the Marlins at plus money because, again, I'm a little bit biased after the loss last night.
01:20Like, this is a game I just don't want to have any interest in because Cal Quantrill, if I back him, he's going to give up seven runs.
01:25And if I bet on the Braves, he's going to give up one run over six innings.
01:28Yeah, take a look at Joey Wentz over the past 45 days, Tom.
01:3126 innings pitched, a 4.15 ERA, which isn't disastrous, but it's high.
01:35But a lower X-flip of 3.94.
01:37If you take a look here and say, all right, well, what are we going to do with Cal Quantrill on that side?
01:41Not a great pitcher on his mind either.
01:43But if I'm looking at lineup-wise, like lefty versus righty matchups, like I think the better matchup is for the Braves at the plate once again today.
01:49You take a look at Jerickson, Profar, Drake Baldwin, Marcelo Zuna, Michael Harris, and Eli White, all with high isos and weighted on base percentages here.
01:55Not a ton of strikeouts in that lineup.
01:57But then again, Cal Quantrill's not a strikeout pitcher either.
01:59Only striking out 15% of the batters that he's faced over the past 30 days.
02:0381 degrees in Atlanta, you love that.
02:05But there is, off the chop house, a wind blowing in of around 11 miles per hour.
02:08But again, it's a big stadium.
02:09It's a big wall out there.
02:10Who knows if that's actually going to affect anybody trying to pop home runs into right field.
02:14For me, Tom, I probably would go with the Atlanta Braves in this game just as a better overall team in this environment.
02:19But then again, you're right.
02:20You're going to lay minus 135.
02:21Let's call it on the Atlanta Braves with Joey Wentz on the mound.
