00:00Good afternoon I'm Craig Jackson from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service. I'm

00:04the Wildfire Support Officer currently working here at the Reakin in Telford.

00:09At 9.30pm last night we had a call to fire on the side of the Reakin and we

00:14had a number of crews here trying to tackle that fire. Unfortunately due to

00:18its access it was really difficult to deal with the fire last night. We returned

00:23this morning with more resources at 05.30 hours and we were able to get

00:28resources to the top of the Reakin and water down onto that fire. We're still

00:32here at the moment the fires under control we are urging the public to stay

00:36away at present whilst we move equipment up and down the hillside because we have

00:42got moving vehicles on the main track. We'd also like to warn people of having

00:46campfires barbecues whilst we got this dry period and especially bonfires as well

00:52where you can quickly spread into the countryside.
