"Benjamin of Tudela"

In 12th century a jewish adventurer named Benjamin traveled from Spain to Baghdad. During his odissey he knew all the jewish communities around mediterranean sea and central Europe. He wrote a book and this book is the main resource to know the jewish world in 12th century. Eight hundred years later two travellers made the same travel getting into the main jewish communities that Benjamin visited: from Spain to Israel.
