Is vaginal dryness the menopause symptom we're all sidelining? A new survey reveals millennials feel more prepared for menopause but highlights the need to bring vaginal dryness out of the shadows.



Vaginal dryness, though often linked to menopause, can affect women at any age. The survey found only 29% of women find it easy to talk about, but it's important to know solutions are available!

00:06has found that millennials are more prepared for the menopause than previous generations.
00:10Off the back of this, they are calling for more education and awareness for the common
00:15menopausal symptom of vaginal dryness. Vaginal dryness can happen at any age,
00:21although it is usually associated with menopause. Symptoms can include an unusual discharge,
00:27soreness or irritation, pain during sex, needing to pee more often or recurrent urinary tract infections.
00:35Whilst there has been much progress made in breaking the taboos in talking about women's
00:41health, vaginal dryness remains a sensitive subject with only 29% of women feeling comfortable
00:47discussing it according to the survey. Treatment is available. If you have been suffering from
00:53the symptoms of vaginal dryness, contact your GP to make an appointment. Treatment options include
00:59gels, creams, pessaries, medications or patches. You'll be able to discuss this with your GP.
