00:00Welcome to the first in our new Dev Diary series for AT3.
00:17Whether you've been following the project for a while or are just hearing about it now,
00:21this is where we'll be sharing updates straight from the team as we build towards early access.
00:26If you've followed our journey so far, you might know the challenging origins of the game,
00:31the rich legacy of our studio's development team,
00:34and what we are doing to make AT3 a true spiritual successor to the Rising Storm series.
00:39But in this series, we'll be going deeper into how we're building AT3 and why.
00:45So, what is AT3? Set in mid-80s Europe, a flashpoint that never ignited, but could have.
00:53At its core, it's the Cold War Gone Hot, an alternate history conflict between NATO forces and the Warsaw Pact.
01:00You'll fight across different theatres, from fortified German farmlands to snowy Norwegian forts.
01:06It brings to life the kind of war that was just around the corner for those who lived in that era.
01:11AT3 will put the most iconic weapons of the Cold War in your hands, all of which behave like the real thing,
01:18with systems such as ballistic modelling, penetration, real-world accurate recoil, and advanced weapon handling.
01:25All aspects of gameplay will feature accessible realism, with uniforms, weaponry, and vehicles,
01:31all perfectly matched to the features and appearance of the models available to each army during this period.
01:36We aim to make everything as realistic as possible, until the point where it stops being fun,
01:42and then we ratchet it back a notch.
01:44We're aiming for 40-minute battles where everything can happen.
01:48Intense, squad-driven engagements that reward tactical play without requiring you to clear your schedule.
01:54You'll see firefights in villages to full-blown armoured pushes across open terrain.
01:59And whether you're on the front line or commanding the larger fight, every role matters.

02:09With a wealth of experience from working on Red Orchestra, Rising Storm, and their sequels,
02:14our developers understand how to craft meaningful combat systems, design maps with purposeful flow,

02:26from faction design and arsenals to the core philosophy behind our gameplay loop.
