00:33be a producer or hit maker or songwriter all the above artists you know what I'm saying
00:38um I just am an artist and producer that really you know grew up you know watching so many amazing
00:50people um do music right and and I just wanted to I just wanted to I just want to put up 60 you know
01:00what I'm saying when I got my shot you know what I'm saying um but I was just always inspired just
01:06about great music and you know great athletes you know people who were just great at what what it
01:15what it was they that they did you know what I'm saying and so you know I was a I was an athlete I
01:20was um you know from Campton Road moved to Europe when I was six so you know just seeing so many
01:30different things um my parents been in the military I was just inspired by so many different things but
01:36then you know when it came to that music you know I'm saying that's just a god gifted it's a god
01:40I get the talent yeah it hit something different I know it did you know what I'm saying it just hit
01:44different you feel hey no you've been called the pin for a reason now what song in your catalog still
01:51gives you chills when you hear it back man it's it's so many it's so many of them um you know I was
01:59just listening to um I was listening to some of the work that um we did on um on Brandy's
02:09album you know what I'm saying I was listening to the song so sick the other day um I was listening
02:17to the record uh that we did on Brandy and um Chris Brown um just uh I don't know all of them
02:28actually you know just listening to the vocal production listening to the you know the uh
02:33arrangements sometimes how hard how how hard the beats go you know what I'm saying the way it just
02:40the way the vocals just are very very effective I had a little opportunity to admire some of my work
02:47over the last few days I'm actually working with a new young artist that um that's out of Detroit that
02:53um I'm signing so you know I'm interested in continuing to go crazy okay you're interested in
03:00Motown okay I love it yeah and you know and my new and my new album is on the way um my new single
03:09girlfriend is out you know I'm saying me featuring Huncho and Plies you know I'm saying so I'm really
03:14excited about that too I was just listening to that on my way here I'm like this is a bop like I listen
03:20to at least once or twice a day you know just to get my day going you know it's just a type of songs
03:25and I really like it it's well tell me what you like what you like about it what I like most about
03:31it is for one it's just for one I feel like it relates to me you know I'm a girlfriend you know
03:35what I'm saying okay you're staring Nate and you just really speaking to the people and speaking of
03:40girlfriends what inspired you on this one like what made you feel like right now was the time to drop it
03:45I mean I think you know I'm actually like really really excited about just my whole
03:50like opportunity to just be performing and doing records and um you know just performing on stage
03:58I really do enjoy I just enjoy the people you know what I'm saying I enjoy making records
04:03you know for other people and making you know making hits for myself the other people
04:10I just love the fans you know what I'm saying I love the fans I love the people at radio
04:16I just enjoy my community you know what I'm saying I just I really am just an excited person about music
04:22and um you know having the conversation you know girlfriend is basically a conversation about
04:30what's really going on outside you know what I'm saying like what I really see that's that's kind of
04:35like that's like three three superstars on three superstars from three different perspectives
04:42on relationships right and it's not necessarily it's just it's just a male's perspective take but
04:50it's really if you look at it from the opposite side it's really the same thing you know what I'm
04:55saying it's it's what we really are going through it's just like you know people that don't
05:01really deserve you do they really deserve you right it's like if a person promises you that they are going
05:09to hold you down and be there for you and be you know be by your side and then they start switching
05:15up you know what I'm saying the moment you allow your guards to be down then what's you know what
05:22are we really doing you know what I'm saying and I feel like I think we've you know we've sort of like
05:28lost our way in relationships these days you know trust is a very very important part of love and I feel
05:35like you know if you really want love you gotta you know be you gotta be open to the conversation
05:44you gotta be open to continue to support whomever you want that love from in a way that's responsible
05:53respectful and um and at the end of the day you really gotta like the person you with you know
06:01what I'm saying you you know I'm telling you when you just get with people just because of the image
06:06or oh this is oh this person can help me do this I mean it really just takes away from what you're
06:11really looking for what that other person might be looking for that's exactly right and I think today
06:15it's just like it's so like you know people are just not really being themselves you know I'm saying
06:21they really there's like a representative that you're meeting versus the actual person that you
06:27really want to be with you know what I'm saying so it's just you know it's just my take on what
06:33I'm seeing you know I'm saying from my lens all right so that's a way that the fellas can um reflect
06:37off of it and the women as well right because that's what you want them to get well take away
06:41from this song right absolutely like you know it's it's like girlfriends the wives and my wives
06:45turn to girlfriends girlfriends the wives now them wives it's my past tense if I had a wife that
06:50would treat me like my girlfriend then she would be my wife and she wouldn't be my girlfriend
06:55I like that you know I'm saying so I appreciate the love you know I mean I love that and it's just
07:04like with this I'm really excited can we can you tell us when the album is coming I know
07:10you're working we're looking at um putting out the album in September um I'm very excited about I got
07:17you know I got some more tricks up my uh my sleeves you know I'm saying coming very very soon um but I'm
07:24just like just excited about like the people you know being excited about me coming outside you
07:30know I'm saying again yes you know my my first number one song as an artist was breakup you know
07:37I'm saying as you can probably remember with me Mario and Gucci man you know I'm saying summer when
07:43you dropped that the whole summer was rocking okay you know what I'm saying we rocked the whole
07:46summer you heard me you did your big one on that one okay and you still doing big things
07:52thank you so much love the thing when you since you've written you've done songs you've written
07:56for other people what does it feel like well what's what does it feel to hear your voice telling a story
08:03um I think you know the the fact that I was um I was an artist since I was 14 years old
08:10um I've always like had this uh knack for like just being rather honest with myself when it came to
08:19music you know being able to create um in a way to inspire people and also you know I get a big kick
08:26out of helping other people you know reach their dreams you know what I'm saying or achieve their
08:32you know their highest of heights you know I mean being a you know growing up watching people like
08:38babyface or you know I'm saying uh been a big fan of like Lionel Richie I mean it's just so many
08:48amazing songwriters that you know inspired me you know what I'm saying uh people that made music
08:53and great producers like Teddy Teddy Riley um you know Quincy Jones I mean Michael Jackson just you know
09:03people that were you know that was extremely amazingly talented but really took the craft
09:10really seriously as well you know what I'm saying Saida Garrett you know it's just some really amazing
09:16songwriters that you know that really inspired me so I just um I guess I just I just really took
09:24music very seriously and just wanted to be able to achieve I mean we have all those inspirations
09:29right in front of you I mean it's hard not to take from that yeah you know and being from a city
09:34being from a city like Atlanta you know I'm saying we also have this whole stuff in the water that we
09:41just you know we all are very very creative um and then being inspired by people like CeeLo Green
09:48um you know I mean JD Dallas Austin you know I'm saying the face I mean it's just you know it's kind of
09:58hard to um it's it's kind of hard to not be inspired that's true and you know a lot of artists now are
10:05revamping a lot of the the 2000s type of sound 19 you know the 90s you know um do you feel like that
10:12era is on the comeback right now oh yeah yeah definitely like Atlanta is really really piped
10:16up right now you know I'm saying like the whole it feels like 2007 2008 2009 right now for sure
10:23um especially um especially on like the hip-hop side you know what I'm saying you know you got a little
10:29Pluto you got um Burnaby you know what I'm saying this guy you know it's uh it's it's it's you know JD's
10:40doing his Magic City album I got some surprises you know what I'm saying okay um yeah stay tuned like it's
10:49yeah it's Atlanta's lit right now for sure musically I'm excited so you said Girlfriend's just dropped

11:01just enjoying you know the love I've been getting from the people it's just like it's really celebration
11:09time you know I'm saying I'm gonna be doing some shows across the country um I'll definitely be in a
11:14city near you you know what I'm saying okay you're looking at Detroit artists and whatnot I'm just like
11:19what's next you got another single another EP yeah yeah yeah no we gotta um we got we got more we got more
11:25singles on the way um the what's crazy is like some of the collaborations I got um are gonna be very
11:31interesting you know what I'm saying you always do the best you do the best collabs

12:10I seen him when he came in the studio and we just went crazy you know what I mean um 20 years
12:17ah yeah 20 years you know what I'm saying but to see him you know fight through all the adversity
12:23and all the stuff that he's been through and to be doing stadiums now you know what I'm saying
12:28how do you I mean how does that make you feel man and you know he opens up with uh he opens up with
12:35my you know my monster record running with him you know what I'm saying with him and um
12:41I did it with me it was me me and Scott Storch man it was just it's just you shook up the world
12:48you know what I'm saying and to see yeah just see him go crazy and and I mean his show is amazing
12:54he's just doing amazing things so that's the stuff that really really make you feel proud and
12:59you know man like it it's just Beyonce's going crazy you know what I'm saying
