As the Airbus A330-200 lifted off, I looked out the window and saw the Maldives from above — tiny islands floating like jewels in the ocean ; The view was unlike anything I had ever seen before .....
I arrived at Velana International Airport just before sunrise to catch my flight — SriLankan Airlines UL102 from Male to Colombo.
The morning was calm and quiet. I spent a few peaceful minutes by the Velana Airport jetty, watching the turquoise waters shimmer as boats and yachts arrived with passengers. It was a moment of reflection before leaving the Maldives.
Around 6:30 AM, I entered the departure terminal, filmed a few final clips, and passed through immigration smoothly. The waiting lounge gave me time to take in the last moments of this unforgettable journey.

I hope to return soon — next time with Sultan Uncle and his fishing crew, ready to explore Maafushi Island and discover more hidden gems in across the Maldives.
