The National Indigenous Fashion Awards has wrapped up for another year on Larrakia country in Darwin. Seven winners were recognised for their innovation, creativity and excellence.

00:00The National Indigenous Fashion Awards have wrapped up for another year and they had some serious star power behind them this year.
00:09Supermodel Cindy Rostron was recognised as Young Achiever of the Year for her work as a model and a TikTok star.
00:17The judges recognised that she had created a niche for herself, developing a following through her online social media presence,
00:24while also keeping her connection to culture in West Arnhem Land strong.
00:29With her as she accepted her award tonight were her family members and her father who sang a song about the 13 clan groups of the region as she accepted her award.
00:40Now among the other designers recognised tonight was Claire Helen Parker of Claire Helen who took out the prestigious Fashion Designer of the Year award for her work with her label.
00:52Another Tiwi woman brings together her upbringing as a Tiwi woman in the NT with her contemporary fashion interests and designs and she was wearing one of her own designs as she accepted her award on stage tonight.
01:06Now the National Indigenous Fashion Awards, although they only have 7 winners and 38 finalists, they're really a chance to celebrate First Nations creatives from around the country and all different walks of life.
01:17Bringing together people from across different First Nations groups.
01:21Barker, the hip hop icon was present at the awards because her mum in fact won an award for wearable art.
01:29Her piece told the story of the relationship between the two women at a time where Barker was really struggling.
01:34But there's a range of finalists who were recognised as fashion celebrated its night of nights.
