00:00Listen, man, this was out at camp and reported, Clint,
00:04and I just want to know did anybody else respond to this
00:08because it just feels like they have a lot of this on one side of the ball
00:12but not much of this on the other side.
00:15And when you hear D'Amico talking about we want to be physical
00:17and all of this stuff, you really feel it from that defensive side of the ball.
00:21But the other side, you wonder, today, this coming from DJ Bien-Ami,
00:26today the Texans' defense is dominating the Texans' offense.
00:31After cornerback Tremont Smith broke up a pass from Davis Mills,
00:37DJ Gardner Johnson shouted, we own a ass,
00:40and said it's belt to ass while swinging an imaginary belt
00:45while pointing to a Texans' camera.
00:49Wow, dude.
00:50And I'm just wondering, did anybody on the offensive side,
00:53and I know you get your ass kicked but still,
00:55did anybody on the offensive side buck up to that,
00:58or did they just walk around there and just accept it?
01:00Not a damn soul.
01:01I watched CJ Gardner.
01:02Just accept it.
01:03CJ Gardner Johnson, he busted up.
01:06Actually, he busted up.
01:07Brevin Jordan caught it, and he hit him up under the chin
01:09and pushed him out of bounds and did his little belt to ass dance.
01:13And Jordan got up and tapped him on the helmet.
01:15Talk crap.
01:16And then at one point, Ron,
01:18I see a pass break up down the opposite sideline in front of all the stands,
01:24and CJ Gardner Johnson and Kalen Bullock are both belt to ass dancing on them
01:30at the same time, and they just kind of eased on.
01:33Actually, it was Dalton Schultz kind of just eased on back to the huddle.
01:37So, yeah, there's not a lot going on on the offensive side of the football
01:41that puts him in a position to buck back at all, to be honest with you.
01:44I understand that, but there are, I think as you've talked about,
01:49there's a clear separation of, I don't care what you want to call it.
01:53Some people call it dog.
01:54Some people call it aggressiveness.
01:56Some people call it just whatever.
01:59But even if you are getting your ass kicked, I just know and you know
02:04there are some offensive teams or some defensive teams in football
02:10that enough's enough on the belt to ass stuff.
02:14Enough, like, something's going to happen.
02:19We're not just going to sit here and tap people on the helmets.
02:21Even if you are kicking our asses, you ain't going to be up here belt to ass dancing.
02:26Like, I just...
02:26Ron, look, a week into this thing, like, today is the day for me,
02:30and again, for everybody out there that likes to get real sensitive.
02:32I've seen all but one practice, which I think it's six of seven practices
02:37over eight days, I think is where we're at right now.
02:41This is the first day.
02:43There's been a little jaw, and there's been a little dance,
02:45and there's been a little smack talking.
02:47This is the first day.
02:48C.J. Gardner-Johnson two or three times was belt to ass dancing,
02:51like, well after the play, and I've got to believe that at some point,
02:56within a week, if things don't kind of change
02:58and the offense start getting the betterment of the defense,
03:00I've got to believe that there's going to be a little buck back,
03:03and C.J. Gardner-Johnson may cause a little bit of a stir in practice,
03:06which I would love to see if I'm being honest.
03:10Because, Clint, maybe I'm wrong here, but I just believe,
03:15let's say the offense is having a day.
03:18Let's say they come in Friday, and they're having a day,
03:21and Nico and Christian Kirk start doing belt to ass dancing on it.
03:27C.J. Gardner-Johnson, the rest of them boys back there,
03:33Kamari Lassner ain't going to be tapping them on the helmet
03:36and high-fiving them.
03:37Like, even if they get in their ass beat, they're going to do something.
03:41I would imagine they're just not going to sit there and just accept,
03:45like, all right, man, you're getting me,
03:46but you're going to embarrass me out here.
03:48Well, who's he going to be?
03:50I don't know.
03:52That's the question, right?
03:54Dalton Schultz is not always one to necessarily buck back.
03:59I think Cade Stover may get fed up with it a little bit and buck back.
04:04Brevin Jordan got up and tapped the helmet today,
04:06so I don't know how much of that he's got in him.
04:08This is where we get to, Ron, again,
04:11this is where we get to that friendly brother, stroke everybody,
04:15everything's positive approach.
04:19Look, defensively, you get to, within the game and within the rules,
04:22you get to be physical, dominate, and embarrass folks.
04:28Like, offensively, you've got to take a little bit of the brunt from time to time,
04:32right?
04:32You've got to receive a little bit.
04:34Every now and then, you're going to have to initiate the blowback.
04:38Who's going to do that on this offense?
04:40I was going to say.
04:40Who's going to do it?
04:41I'm just saying, let Darren Woodson just keep going belt to asses over there,
04:45and let's see how long Emmitt just keeps rolling over there.
04:48Let's see how long Larry Allen sits over there and just, rest in peace,
04:51just sits in there and, all right, may I just have to asses and high-five you.
04:55Or here, Andre Johnson, just, he would at some point have lost it.
04:59Andre Johnson, Wade Smith, I mean, all these catches at some point are going to
05:03be like, hey, man, enough's enough.
05:06That's a good point, man.
05:07You make a great point in a sense of just big picture looking at this training
05:11camp and giving the dynamic.
05:13I'm not saying that one group is behind schedule and is better than the,
05:18forget all that.
05:19Like, just the dynamic that is the Houston Texans practice, Ron,
05:23and at some point somebody on the offensive side of the football has to get
05:26so frustrated they throw a punch.
05:28Well, it's been a clear separation.
05:30We've been talking about that, and I do think Joe Mixon probably,
05:33if he was out there, wouldn't have just sat there and tweeted out to you,
05:38to you, champs, likes Joe Mixon might have lost his mind a little bit,
05:43but you've been talking about it.
05:45We've talked about it.
05:46Like, there is, there are dogs on this team, however you want to put it,
05:51that are about it, but there is a clear separation of where most of those guys
05:58are, if not all of them.
05:59They reside on the defensive side of the football is what you're saying.
06:02Yes, it seems like that.
06:03Fair.
06:04No doubt.
06:05No doubt.
06:05Yeah.
