00:04arrested. Do you want your colleagues arrested? I mean, you want them back here. How are they
00:09going to come back? Well, I mean, in handcuffs would be great. Okay. So that'd be my preference
00:15right now. Yeah, they should be arrested. They should have been arrested before they left the
00:19state. I mean, our speaker did a call of the house, which is what authorizes the arrest
00:23after they left. Yesterday, he put on all this theater, but he had the doors locked
00:29to the chamber of the Texas house. The Democrats were not inside the chamber. So, you know,
00:35there's just a lot of theater happening right now. The people of Texas don't want theater.
00:39They don't want strongly worded letters. They want action. They want results. And that's what
00:44I'm fighting for. And then when do you think we can expect this debate to happen? What's next here
00:49for these maps? I don't know. I mean, the timing, it's either up to the Democrats when they voluntarily
00:54return, or it's up to the elected Republican leadership of the state of Texas when they
00:58finally get around to forcing them to come back. I mean, yes, of course, of course, this
01:02will end. I mean, everybody knows that this can't last, you know, two years, five years,
01:0510 years. Everybody knows this is going to end at some point. And so my solution to that
01:10is, okay, the Democrats want to play hardball. Republicans in Texas should maybe for the first
01:15time ever play hardball. And my proposed solution right now is for every one week that they're
01:20gone, we redraw the maps and we add one more Republican seat. So that's what I'm calling for
01:25right now. The Republican leadership of Texas, if you, if you chose not to stop them from leaving,
01:28if you're not going to arrest them when we're gone, then at least let's do something that
01:32they're going to hate. And for every week that we're gone, we redraw the maps and we add one
01:35more Republican seat. That's the, that's, that's the Harrison proposal that I'm putting on the table
01:38right now. And I'm sure you've had conversations with your Republican colleagues. Are there other
01:43people, other Republicans supporting this Harrison proposal? I'm talking to people all over the state
01:48of Texas. And I can assure you, since I just put that out on Twitter, I think it was just this
01:52morning. Uh, the response has been overwhelming. People love it. They are tired of feckless, weak
01:57establishment Republicans failing and then blaming the Democrats for their failures. And that's
02:02exactly what happened here. The Texas government should have redistricted and we should have had
02:05done long before now.
