00:00Arsenal are preparing for a new Premier League season with some significant changes shaping
00:08Mikel Arteta's next push for silverware.
00:12From tactical tweaks to fresh additions, the Gunners have evolved once again in their bid
00:17to stay in the title race.
00:20Arteta has refined his approach, seeking greater versatility in both attack and defence.
00:25New arrivals have been chosen with precision.
00:29It's capable of operating across multiple roles, adding depth and unpredictability to
00:35Arsenal's play.
00:37It hasn't been a summer of wholesale overhaul, but rather targeted upgrades that align with
00:41the club's long-term vision.
00:44The result is a squad that feels more complete, balanced and ready to navigate the challenges
00:49of another demanding campaign.
00:53A couple more on the biggest changes at Arsenal and how they could shape up for the season.
00:59We spoke to Jack Abella of London World, who believes the Gunners are entering this campaign
01:04better equipped than ever to get over the line.
01:08And just on Arsenal in terms of maybe, do you feel there could be a bit of a mentality shift?
01:16This time off could be used to address those issues.
01:19You know, they've had some very, very poor nights.
01:21You know, the FA Cup game at home against Man United, the League Cup loss against Newcastle
01:28at home.
01:28These are games where you just feel that the Arsenal need to start getting over the line
01:32in to really make sure they are competing in more finals moving forward.
01:37And then you obviously have the whole debate with the results that the Etihad over the last
01:42few years and how Arsenal have been celebrating draws.
01:44I mean, to bridge that gap to become champions, you don't want to celebrate draws.
01:48You want to make sure you do go to these places and get wins.
01:51You need to just sort of, do you feel that needs to be the mentality shift this year and
01:55Arteta might need to just sort of let the reins go a bit and go and get these massive wins
02:02at Anfield, at the Etihad, you know, at Stamford Bridge, for example.
02:06These big places you've got to go as champions.
02:08You do expect them to go and win.
02:11Yeah, no.
02:12I mean, well, we saw in the Amazon documentary a few seasons ago that when Arteta loses a
02:17Duel, he's very upset, isn't he?
02:20So I have no doubt that he will be coming back with a real kind of, maybe like a vengeful
02:27attitude, really.
02:29I think Arsenal will look at last season as a, not a missed opportunity, but they would
02:36have wanted to be the team that would have capitalised when City weren't at it.
02:40And I think the two seasons previous, Arsenal had came very close to winning the league
02:48and hadn't and were pipped by City.
02:50And I think maybe last season that took a bit of a mental toll on them.
02:55I think because they weren't really close last season, this season might just be about
03:01coming back with a bit more anger and a bit more purpose.
03:05Hopefully that anger doesn't result in any more red cards.
03:08But I have no doubt that they will come back fighting this season.
03:13And I think, yes, we haven't announced those signings, made those signings yet.
03:18But I think, you know, the players that we've even been linked with in the talks does seem
03:23like the club want to do something more than they did last summer.
03:28Last summer, the links weren't even there, which was slightly worrying.
03:31So I'm hoping that Arsenal, with the signings they make and that kind of, you know, mentality
03:37that Arteta, I think, does bring, will help Arsenal get over the line next season.
03:45But it's, yeah, it's going to be a tough one.
03:47I think it's important to mention, yes, Arsenal shouldn't celebrate draws against these big
03:51teams now, for sure.
03:53But Arsenal are, I forget the exact statistics now, but they are unbeaten against the top
04:00six, you know, I think it's like two or three seasons.
04:04And that is a big achievement.
04:06You know, Arsenal, where they've really, you know, let themselves down last season is dropping
04:12points to the smaller teams that they couldn't break down that low block.
04:16And that's what they really need to work on, in my opinion, next season.
04:19Yeah, don't celebrate the draws as much, you know, next season.
04:23Where Arsenal really need to improve upon is not dropping points to the smaller teams.
04:29You know, no offence to the likes of Brighton and Fulham, but, you know, those games are
04:34the games we really need to make sure that Arsenal are winning.
04:37And then, yeah, of course, beating the big teams as well at Anfield and at the Etihad would
04:41be incredible as well.
