00:01The UK's advertising watchdog has banned two advertisements issued by Zara for featuring models that appeared unhealthily thin.
00:09The ASA said the ads released in May were socially irresponsible and ordered Zara to not use them again.
00:16One picture shows a model wearing an oversized white shirt with her collarbones clearly visible.
00:21According to the watchdog, a shadow effect was used in another image to make the model's legs appear thinner and out of proportion to her overall body.
00:29Zara said it removed the images from its campaigns and denied reports that the images had been modified beyond standard editing.
00:38The fashion giant released a statement saying it was committed to responsible content and followed strict guidelines in the selection of models and images.
