President Trump signs an Executive Order to create a White House Olympics Task Force and takes reporters' questions.
Transcript
00:00Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Casey Wasserman, Chairman of LA 28, the Vice President
00:09of the United States, J.D. Vance, and the 45th and 47th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump.
00:16Thank you very much, everybody. It's a big day for a lot of reasons, and it's an honor to have you
00:32in this very nice venue across the street from the White House. And thank you all for being here
00:38as we take a major step to ensure the United States is fully prepared to welcome the world
00:44to Los Angeles for the 2028 Summer Olympic Games. Very exciting day of my life when we
00:50got nominated and we ultimately got it. And I didn't think I'd be here for the games in this
01:00capacity, but it worked out that way. So I'm very happy about that. I had no idea that was going to
01:05happen when we got it. I said, too bad I won't be president then. But sort of we took a very
01:12circuitous route, didn't we? In my first time, we were instrumental in helping the city of Los
01:17Angeles win the bid to bring the Olympic torch back to American soil. And today, I will sign an
01:23executive order establishing the White House Task Force on the 2028 Summer Olympics, mobilizing the
01:30entire federal government to ensure the games are safe, seamless, and historically successful. It's
01:36going to be amazing. I think it's going to be amazing. America is a nation of champions. And
01:42in July 2028, we'll show the world what America does best. And that's when we're winning like we
01:47have never won before. You see that all the time. A year ago, we were not a country that was doing
01:53well. And now we're the hottest country anywhere in the world. I want to recognize several members of
01:59the task force, including our great vice president, J.D. Vance. J.D., thank you very much. Thank you.
02:08Our equally great attorney general, Pam Bondi. Pam, thank you very much, Pam.
02:15Secretary of Homeland Security, Christy Kerr. Christy Kerr. Do you know Christy Kerr? She's a friend of my great
02:22golfer. Christy Noem, she's a better golfer than you. That's the only thing. But you're better at a lot of
02:27other things. But I want to thank you for being here, for doing an unbelievable job. Really an
02:33unbelievable job. FCC chairman, Brendan Carr. Brendan, thank you. Thank you, Brendan. Doing a great job.
02:41White House chief of staff, Susie Wiles, most powerful woman anywhere in the world.
02:48She's rated the most powerful woman in the world. And I agree with that.
02:51And deputy chiefs of staff, Stephen Miller. Stephen? Stephen? Stephen? Thank you.
02:59What happened to Stephen? We never want to miss Stephen. He's an MVP candidate. Dan Scavino,
03:07another MVP. James Blair, Taylor Brudovich, and Nick Luna. Thank you all. Great group of people.
03:15They're going to be very much involved. I also am grateful to be joined by two of Team USA's strongest
03:22and fastest competitors, retired gold medalist and gymnast, and member of the LA 28 Athletes Council,
03:31Nastasha Lukin. Nastasha? How are you, Nastasha? Good. I don't know you, but I've watched you. You're
03:39very talented. I would not want to do what you do. This is much easier, believe me. It's incredible
03:45what you've done. Along with retired gold medal, Paralympian swimmer and board member of the U.S.
03:52Olympic Committee, Brad Snyder. Brad, thank you very much, Brad. It's a great honor. Thank you.
04:00Chairman of the 2028 Olympic Games, Casey Wasserman, a friend of mine for a long time. Casey,
04:06thank you very much, Casey. Great job.
04:09It's going to be amazing. LA is a little bit different place than it was when selected,
04:17but we're going to bring it back stronger than ever. I spoke to Casey about that. He said,
04:21nope, we're going to make it better than ever. It's going to be something that's going to make
04:25it even more important as the Olympic Games. It was an interesting conversation we had
04:30as the fires were raging. Is that right? And I appreciated that very much. And CEO,
04:37Reynolds Hoover. Reynolds, thank you very much. Thank you very much. Great honor. I also want to
04:44welcome the chair of the U.S. Olympic Committee, Gene Sykes. Gene, thank you. Thank you, Gene, very
04:52much. And thank him for recently banning men from competing in women's sports. That's a big deal.
04:58Thank you very much. It's amazing the way I don't hear any applause for that one. Everyone feels it.
05:04It's a 97. Don't worry about it. That's a 97.3. It's not 80.20. It's 97.3. But nobody wants to clap.
05:11It's crazy. The United States will not let men steal trophies from women at the 2028 Olympics. So we
05:19appreciate the fairness and everything else that you've shown. Also with us today is LA 28 board
05:26member Reince Priebus and also Kevin McCarthy. I want to thank Kevin McCarthy and Reince. Thank you,
05:32Reince. And thank you, Kevin. And the LA Olympics is shaping up to be a wonderful moment for America.
05:39It's going to be incredible. It's so exciting. And with today's action, I'm directing the Department of
05:44State, the Department of Justice, the Department of Homeland Security, the FBI, the Secret Service,
05:51the Department of Transportation, and many other departments and agencies to use every tool at
05:56their disposal to ensure a fantastic, safe, and beautiful event. In 2028, the Olympics is bringing
06:03back our national pastime baseball. Wow, that's great. With teams playing under the lights at the
06:10legendary Dodger Stadium. And it is legendary. It's beautiful. One of the most beautiful
06:14squash players will go head to head inside the world famous Universal Studios. Triathletes
06:20will sprint beneath the sun shining down on Venice Beach. This will be one of the great venues. I mean,
06:29when you think of it, right, it's going to be so incredible. Soccer teams will face off at the
06:34legendary Rose Bowl. Sailors will race through the waters near the port of Los Angeles. And
06:40the opening ceremony will take place at the beautiful Memorial Coliseum, just like the
06:46Olympics of 1932 and 1984. That was something. Those were very important Olympics. 1932 was a very
06:55important Olympics, wasn't it? For eight straight consecutive summer games. No one has won more
07:01medals than Team USA, which is incredible. We want to keep it that way. Over the years, Team USA has won
07:07triple the number of Summer Olympic gold medals as the next closest country. And I'm confident that
07:13that's going to continue in 2028. That's an amazing achievement, by the way. Between the LA Olympics and the
07:21FIFA World Cup next year, we have the World Cup and we have the Olympics. Got them both.
07:25It's a great time to be a sports fan in America. And maybe, you know, I don't want to say most
07:31importantly, but it is a celebration of 250 years. We have our 250th anniversary also during the year.
07:41And it's going to be between the three of them. I think there'll be no other time that we've ever
07:45had in our history like that. So I'd like to ask the LA Olympics chairman Casey Wasserman to say a few
07:51words. And I appreciate it very much, Casey. Great job you've done. Thank you.
08:00Thank you, Mr. President. Your support and the entire administration's support through this whole
08:04process has been truly extraordinary. In just 1,074 days. Yes, we're counting, sir. The eyes of the
08:12world will be on this country as we open the 2028 Olympics. And it feels just like yesterday. And you
08:19were just president-elect in December of 2016 that you leaned into this process back then. And you've
08:26been supportive and helpful every step of the way. And we wouldn't be here without you. So we greatly
08:30appreciate all your support. Thank you. Thank you. Our games plan is near final. We've announced a
08:39competition schedule. Some of the greatest brands in America have stepped up to support these Olympic
08:44games as commercial partners. And now with the creation of this task force, we've unlocked the
08:48opportunity to level up our planning and deliver the largest and, yes, greatest games for our nation
08:54ever. We expect more than 150 heads of state will come to the games. We'll host approximately 11,000
09:01Olympic and 4,500 Paralympic athletes. They'll participate in 800 competitions at 49 competition
09:09venues. This will be the equivalent of producing seven Super Bowls a day, sir, for 30 days.
09:14Yeah. But we are now focused more than ever
09:17on delivery. And we can't do this alone. I want to thank President Trump and the entire
09:21administration for their support and their partnership as we work to bring these games
09:25home. These will be truly America's games. We expect millions of fans from around the country
09:32to participate and attend events. And for the first time in history, we are going to take
09:38the Olympic torch relay to all 50 states. The most states it's ever gone to is 38. But
09:43in 2028, we will touch all 50 states. And, sir, if you'd like to run on Park Avenue again
09:48to revisit history, you're more than welcome. And we're thrilled. But this administration
09:54has delivered critical security funding in the recent bill that will be used by local
09:59and state agencies and the federal government to make sure that our games are safe and secure
10:04and ultimately the best place to experience and be an Olympic fan. We remain incredibly
10:09confident in our ability to deliver the greatest games ever. And that starts with the support
10:14of this administration every step of the way. Thank you, sir.
10:24So we don't have trophies in the Olympic movement. But as you know, 1984 hosted the Olympics in Los
10:29Angeles. And someone we admire, President Reagan, both of us, presided over those. And you'll preside
10:34over our games. So we have for you a full set of the 84 original medals.
10:42Wow.
10:51Can I say that I won them athletically?
10:54Yes, sir.
10:55That would be a great honor.
10:56Yes.
10:57That's beautiful. Thank you very much.
10:58Thank you very much.
11:00Thank you very much.
11:01Appreciate it.
11:02You want to send it?
11:03Yep.
11:04Okay.
11:05Come on around, everybody.
11:06This is a big one here.
11:10Okay.
11:11Okay.
11:12Come on around, everybody.
11:13This is a big one here.
11:15Okay.
11:16Okay.
11:17Okay.
11:18Okay.
11:19Okay.
11:20Okay.
11:21Okay.
11:22Okay.
11:23Okay.
11:24Okay.
11:25Okay.
11:26Okay.
11:28Okay.
11:34Okay.
11:36Wait.
11:55Thanks, sir.
11:56Fantastic.
11:58Thank you very much.
11:59Mr. President, Mr. President, Mr. President,
12:02Mr. President, Mr. President,
12:05Mr. President, Mr. President,
12:08Mr. President, Mr. President,
12:11will the Department of Justice
12:17Mr. President, will the Department of Justice
12:19press charges against any men
12:22that are posing as women?
12:25Excuse me.
12:25Do you still plan to follow through on your threat to impose 100% tariffs on all countries
12:36that purchase Russian energy, including China?
12:39One never said a percentage, but we'll be doing quite a bit of that.
12:42We'll see what happens over the next fairly short period of time.
12:45But we'll see what happens.
12:48You know, they have a meeting tomorrow.
12:52We have a meeting with Russia tomorrow.
12:54We're going to see what happens.
12:55We'll make that determination at that time.
12:59Yeah, please, go ahead.
13:01Thank you, Mr. President.
13:03Thank you for calling on me.
13:05Thank you, Mr. President.
13:06On Ukraine, President Zelensky just signed a law allowing for citizens age 60 and above to serve in the military.
13:13We've seen dozens of videos of young men being hauled into vans and dragged to the front lines against their will.
13:18And we've even seen videos of a young man with Down syndromes serving on the front line.
13:22You, when you campaigned, you said you wanted to see the people stop dying.
13:26A lot of people admired that statement.
13:27Now the people dying are elderly, mentally handicapped, and conscripts.
13:33So even if a ceasefire doesn't work out, why should Americans continue to fund a foreign military that's scrapping the bottom of the barrel of its population like this?
13:42Well, you have to understand, very importantly, this is Biden's war.
13:45This is not my war.
13:46I'm here to get us out of it.
13:47It's a mess.
13:49And I'm here to get us out.
13:50I haven't heard that when you say about 60-year-old men and, you know, et cetera.
13:54But this is Biden's war.
13:56And we're working very hard to get us out.
13:58I stopped five wars in the last five months, actually.
14:02And I'd like this to be the sixth, frankly.
14:06And that doesn't even include Iran obliterating their nuclear haul because they would have had nuclear weapons within two months.
14:15But stopped a lot of wars.
14:17You just take a look at the ones just over the last two or three months.
14:21It's been amazing.
14:22This is the one I'm trying to stop.
14:23This is the one we're working hardest on.
14:25The other ones I stopped with in a matter of days, almost every one of them, including India and Pakistan.
14:31And I could go over the whole list, but you know the list as well as I do.
14:35But this is the one we'd like to see.
14:37I haven't not heard of that, but this is Biden's war.
14:39And it's a war that he got us into or indirectly got us into.
14:43It should have never happened.
14:44It would have never happened had I been president.
14:47Yeah, next to you.
14:48Thank you, Mr. President.
14:49Would you support Israel reoccupying all of Gaza, as has been suggested by some Israeli officials?
14:58Well, I don't know what the suggestion is.
14:59I know that we are there now trying to get people fed.
15:03As you know, $60 million was given by the United States fairly recently to supply food and a lot of food, frankly, for the people of Gaza that are obviously not doing too well with the food.
15:15And I know Israel is going to help us with that in terms of distribution and also money.
15:21We also have the Arab states are going to help us with that in terms of the money and possibly distribution.
15:27So that's what I'm focused on.
15:29As far as the rest of it, I really I really can't say that's going to be pretty much up to Israel.
15:34Yeah, please.
15:35Go ahead, please.
15:38On transgender athletes in the Olympics, back to the safety, especially of female combat boxers, will the Department of Justice considering pressing charges against any man that tries to masquerade as a woman coming into this country to beat up American athletes?
15:51And secondly, would your administration consider genetic testing so that these people can prove that they're actually women competing?
15:58Well, I think there is going to be a very strong form of testing as far as charges.
16:03I'd have to ask the attorney general about that.
16:05I don't know.
16:06But there will be a very, very strong form of testing.
16:09And if the test doesn't come out appropriately, they won't be in the Olympics.
16:15Yes, ma'am.
16:15Please go ahead, please.
16:17White.
16:18Thank you, Mr. President.
16:19Do you believe that the U.S. committee would have made this decision on men and women's sports if you weren't president?
16:24And do you believe that this decision will stay in place once you are no longer president?
16:28I think they probably would have because it just seems to be an issue that most people feel should be.
16:35I can't really say.
16:36I'd have to.
16:37You could have asked Chairman Wasserman.
16:40But I would say that, you know, there's a possibility.
16:46It could go either way if you really want to know the truth.
16:48I feel strongly about it.
16:49I have.
16:50I ran a campaign, at least partially, on that.
16:52That was one of the many issues that I talked about.
16:54Open borders, the economy, taxes, all of the things.
16:58But that was certainly one of the issues.
16:59So I really can't.
17:01I really don't know.
17:02Could have gone either way.
17:03Please.
17:04Sir, have you decided on a replacement for the Fed governor?
17:08For Fed governor?
17:10I'll be making that decision before the end of the week.
17:13And we'll either decide on one for permanence or the four-month period, the term.
17:19You know, there's a term of about a number of months.
17:23We have a couple of candidates.
17:25Everybody wants it, okay?
17:26It's not a couple.
17:27But we've narrowed it to a couple of candidates.
17:29And we've also – we're looking at the Fed chair.
17:32And that's down to four people right now.
17:37Very good.
17:39Well, I can tell you, because I've already said this, two Kevins and two other people.
17:42Okay?
17:43Brian?
17:44Brian?
17:45Thank you, Mr. President.
17:46This has to do with the safety aspect of the Olympics.
17:49What can you do as a president to ensure that Southern California, the greater Los Angeles area,
17:54is safe from any fire danger, that the state clears away, brush in state parks,
18:01the reason why this last fire happened in Pacifica Palisades?
18:04What can you ensure for that?
18:05Well, as you know, Brian, we have – I've been fighting with them for a long time
18:09about allowing the water to come down from the Pacific Northwest, essentially.
18:14And we actually opened up that water pretty strongly.
18:17We got a lot of opposition from the governor.
18:20We opened it up anyway.
18:21And the water is coming down that we want it opened further.
18:25They have a lot of water.
18:26They sent it out into the Pacific Ocean in order to protect the smelt.
18:30It's a little tiny fish that's not doing very well, especially when they don't have water.
18:34They really do badly, okay?
18:36But it's a fish, environmentally protected, even though it's in many other areas.
18:41I think they just used that as an excuse to smelt.
18:43You'll check that out.
18:44But I think it's just an excuse.
18:46They've got to allow full water.
18:49And they're working with – Lee Zeldin is really helping us a lot.
18:52But they've got to allow the full complement of water to come down from the Pacific Northwest.
18:57There is so much water.
18:59If Gavin Newsom let the water come down – see the way I pronounce his name properly for a change.
19:05If this guy allowed the water to come down from the Pacific Northwest, they have so much water they don't know what to do with it.
19:14All of those sprinklers would have gone on.
19:16All of those people with those beautiful houses with sprinklers in the ceilings and with the water, the fire pumps outside, all that water.
19:23They didn't have any water because they wouldn't let the water come down.
19:26There's so much water there.
19:27At first, when I got involved with this issue in my first term, I said to the congressman – they took me up because they wanted to show me the fields where they could farm 10 times more product.
19:40You'd see 100 acres, and you'd see one acre or two acres, beautiful green.
19:45It's very vibrant soil, but they don't give it the water that it's entitled to.
19:48And I said, oh, they have a drought?
19:51I said, no.
19:51They told me they – we don't have a drought.
19:53They don't – the Democrats don't allow the water to come down into the farms and into anywhere.
19:59By the time it gets down even into certain parts of California, it's fed out into – stupidly into the Pacific Ocean if that water were allowed.
20:08So we broke into it, and we allowed it to come down, and it can come down at a higher level, and we want that, and we're demanding that of the governor.
20:16The other thing is we'll do anything necessary to keep the Olympics safe, including using our National Guard or military.
20:25Okay?
20:26No, I'll use – I will use the National Guard or military.
20:29This is going to be so safe, and if we have to, because obviously you have a mayor that is not very competent.
20:37She can't get the permits for the people.
20:39You know the people are still waiting for their permits.
20:40Lee Zeldin got them the federal permit, which is 10 times harder to get,
20:45and everybody can build on the federal basis, and that's the hard one.
20:49But the mayor, Bass, she cannot – she refuses to or cannot get them permits.
20:55They're waiting.
20:56And I was there right after the fires, and I saw all these beautiful people standing by their homes,
21:01ready to get in and get to work, and they're waiting for their permits,
21:05and they're still waiting for their state permits and city permits.
21:08It's a disgrace.
21:10It's a disgrace.
21:13Redress?
21:13Redress?
21:14Yes, ma'am.
21:15Thank you, Mr. President.
21:16India says that the U.S. imports Russian uranium chemicals, fertilizers,
21:21while criticizing their energy imports.
21:24Your response to that, sir?
21:25I don't know anything about it.
21:26I'd have to check, but we'll get back to you on that.
21:28Yeah, please.
21:29Hey, Mr. President!
21:30Yeah, go ahead.
21:31Have you seen the Hamas-released video of Israeli hostage Evitar David starving
21:36and being forced to dig his own grave in a Hamas tunnel?
21:39I have, yeah.
21:39I have.
21:40I think it's horrible.
21:42I think it's horrible.
21:44And I hope a lot of people do get to see it as bad as it is,
21:47because I think it's a horrible thing.
21:48Yeah, behind you, please.
21:50Mr. President, thank you.
21:51Can you speak to just how, you know, this drop-off in foreign-born workers
21:55is going to benefit Americans,
21:57and will it force American companies to pay fairer wages to American workers?
22:01Well, we want to take care of our American workers,
22:04and first and foremost, and that's what we're doing.
22:07We also want to help our farmers,
22:09because our farmers are producing like never before.
22:12We have to help them.
22:13And we're working out some very complicated strategies and language,
22:17but the main thing that I think I was elected to do
22:22is to get the illegals out of our country
22:25who are especially, in particular, criminals.
22:2811,888 murderers were allowed into our country
22:33with Biden's open border policy,
22:35with our border czar who never spoke to the border patrol,
22:38never went to the border one time.
22:40That's Kamala.
22:41And think of it.
22:43We have murderers.
22:45We have people coming in from all countries all over the world,
22:48from prisons, from prisons in the Congo and Africa,
22:51from prisons all over South America, all over rough parts of Europe,
22:56all over Asia.
22:57They're pouring into our country.
22:59Not anymore.
22:59So we just announced we had our third consecutive month
23:03where we were rated zero people.
23:06And these are, frankly, very liberal people that make up these charts.
23:10So I don't know what's wrong with them.
23:11They seem to not be doing their job for the Democrats.
23:14But I'm honored by the fact that they say we're very tough on the border.
23:19And people can come into our country, but they have to come in legally.
23:23So I think that we've done an amazing job, actually.
23:27But we want, we have to get the criminals out of our country,
23:31murderers, drug dealers, gang members.
23:34They emptied prisons into our country.
23:36It's one of the reasons, I think, even beyond the economy,
23:39it's one of the reasons I got elected.
23:41It's really maybe the number one.
23:42And it was between the economy and that.
23:45But, you know, as I said before, our nation is doing really well.
23:48But we have to get these really bad people.
23:50They should have never been allowed in our country.
23:52Open border policy is for fools.
23:55We're the only country in the world with an open borders policy.
23:58But we don't have that anymore.
23:59We had zero now for three months in a row.
24:02Peter?
24:02Thank you very much, President Trump.
24:04Nice to see you got off the roof all right.
24:06Yeah, yeah.
24:07You said this morning that you probably won't be running for a third term.
24:11This weekend, Secretary of State Rubio said that he thought J.D. Vance would be a great nominee.
24:18You could clear the entire Republican field right now.
24:21Do you agree that the heir apparent to MAGA is J.D. Vance?
24:26Well, I think most likely, in all fairness, he's the vice president.
24:29I think Marco is also somebody that maybe would get together with J.D. in some form.
24:35I also think we have incredible people, some of the people on the stage right here.
24:39So it's too early, obviously, to talk about it.
24:41But certainly he's doing a great job, and he would be probably favorite at this point.
24:46And on Texas, if Texas redrawing their congressional map would get you five safe red seats, means that California, New York, Illinois, and Maryland are all going to redraw their maps to add safe red seats.
25:02Well, they'll do it anyway.
25:03Is it worth it?
25:05Yeah, they'll do it anyway.
25:06Why, if we stop over there?
25:07They would have done it anyway.
25:08Look, a lot of these states, you know, I watched this morning as Democrats are complaining, and they're complaining from states where they've done it, like in Illinois, like in Massachusetts.
25:17I watched this lunatic, Pocahontas, she's a total lunatic.
25:22I don't know what she's on.
25:23She's all jumping up and down, like I've never seen anything like it, talking about supporting the communist mayor.
25:30And he's not a socialist.
25:31He's a communist, okay?
25:32This is not a socialist mayor.
25:34This is a communist.
25:35If you look at any of his policies and go back six months, you don't have to go back further than that.
25:42So they want to put a communist in New York.
25:44Now, the good news is we have a lot of power over that because we're the ones with the money.
25:48We send the money.
25:49We don't send the money.
25:50It's up to the White House.
25:51A lot of power in the White House.
25:52But when I watched her jumping up and down, talking about that and supporting the communists, but if you look at what's going on with the redistricting or whatever you want to call it, the Democrats have done it long before we started.
26:08They've done it all over the place.
26:09They did it in New York.
26:10They did it in a lot of different states.
26:12But in Massachusetts, so somebody used this as an example today.
26:17I was interviewed this morning, and they said, you know, it's pretty unfair.
26:21Trump got 40 percent.
26:24I'm not proud of that, but I think I probably got more, but that's okay.
26:27I got 40 percent in Massachusetts, and yet they have 100 percent of the vote in terms of Congress.
26:32So there's no Republican.
26:33There's no anything.
26:34So we should have 40 percent.
26:37You know why?
26:37They redistricted.
26:39And they've done it all over the place.
26:41And they've done it in California, by the way.
26:43Before this, they've done it in California.
26:45So we'll see what happens.
26:46We have a wonderful governor in Texas.
26:48He feels strongly about it.
26:49It's going to be up to him.
26:51I think there's tremendous support for it.
26:53And, you know, we've watched the Democrats destroy our country in four years.
26:59They've destroyed between their open borders that we talked about, transgender for everybody,
27:05all of the horrible things that they've done, high taxes, horrible medical provision for people.
27:12We've watched them destroy our country for four years, and people don't want that.
27:18And people in Texas, as you saw, I got the highest vote in the history of Texas.
27:22I love Texas.
27:23Texas likes me, obviously.
27:25But I got the highest vote, and that was checked out on the show.
27:28Did you see that, where they checked it out?
27:29They said he actually did get the highest vote in the history of Texas, which disappointed them.
27:34They were very disappointed to hear that.
27:35But Texas is a place that's done very well with a free enterprise kind of an attitude,
27:43with the exact opposite of what's happening in New York with a communist mayor.
27:47And they know what they're doing, and they're doing the right thing.
27:50Yeah.
27:53Two questions for you.
27:54Mr. President, thank you.
27:55Texas Senator John Cornyn.
27:57Texas Senator John Cornyn is asking for your help to force Democrats back to the state and hold them accountable.
28:02Do you want the federal government and the FBI to help locate and arrest these Texas Democrats who have left the state?
28:10Well, I think they've abandoned the state.
28:11Nobody's seen anything like it, even though they've done it twice before.
28:15And in a certain way, it almost looks like they've abandoned the state.
28:19It looks very bad.
28:20Yeah, go ahead, please.
28:20Should the FBI get involved?
28:22Well, they may have to.
28:24They may have to.
28:24No, I know they want them back.
28:25Not only the attorney general, the governor wants them back.
28:30If you look, I mean, the governor of Texas is demanding they come back.
28:34So a lot of people are demanding they come back.
28:37You can't just sit it out.
28:38You have to go back.
28:39You have to fight it out.
28:40That's what elections are all about.
28:41Yeah, please.
28:42Thank you so much, President Trump.
28:43Two questions for you.
28:45One, did you, were you aware of and did you personally approve the prison transfer for Ghislaine Maxwell that your Justice Department did?
28:51I didn't know about it at all.
28:52No, I read about it just like you did.
28:54And do you believe that she is.
28:55It's not a very uncommon thing.
28:57Do you believe that she's credible to be listening to your deputy attorney general sat down with her recently?
29:02Well, he's let me tell you, he's a very talented man.
29:05His name is Todd Blanch.
29:07He's a very legitimate person, very high.
29:10I just have very highly thought of person, respected by everybody.
29:15And I didn't talk to him about it.
29:18But I will tell you that whatever he asked would be totally appropriate.
29:22And it's not an uncommon thing to do that.
29:24And I think he probably wants to make sure that, you know, people that should not be involved or aren't involved or not hurt by something that would be very, very unfortunate, very unfair to a lot of people.
29:36But I will say this.
29:37Todd Blanch is one of the most highly respected people you'll ever meet.
29:41So I know this.
29:42I didn't discuss it with him.
29:43But anything he talked about with her or the fact that he did that, not unusual, number one.
29:49And most importantly, is something that would be totally above board.
29:55Please.
29:57Yeah, please.
29:58Go ahead.
29:59Thanks, Mr. President.
30:00Mr. President, how much more would you like Doge to cut from the federal government?
30:05Well, it's not so much Doge anymore.
30:06And, by the way, I have to say that somebody from Doge was very badly hurt last night.
30:10You saw that.
30:11A young man who was beat up by a bunch of thugs in D.C.
30:16And either they're going to straighten their act out in terms of government and in terms of protection,
30:20or we're going to have to federalize and run it the way it's supposed to be run.
30:25But it's not a question of Doge.
30:26We have great people, secretaries and all, working with Doge and cutting with a, I said, with a scalpel as opposed with an axe.
30:33There's cutting with a fine-tooth comb, and they're getting rid of people that aren't doing their job,
30:39or bad people, or bad things, bad policy, et cetera, et cetera.
30:43And I think we've been very successful in that.
30:45And there's more cutting to do, but there's also more getting.
30:49We want smart people in government.
30:51Our country is doing great.
30:53I think we are doing probably maybe in many ways better than we've ever done before.
30:58You know, we're taking in trillions, not billions, trillions and trillions of dollars from other countries who, for years, took advantage of us.
31:06They took advantage of the United States like we were children, and that's not happening anymore.
31:11Now they're paying a lot of money, and they're paying hundreds of billions of dollars, individual countries paying hundreds of billions of dollars.
31:18You're seeing what everybody else is seeing.
31:21And we have a lot of things we can do.
31:24You know, one of the questions asked of me this morning is, are you going to make a dividend to the people?
31:28And the purpose of what I'm doing is primarily to pay down debt, which will happen in very large quantity.
31:34But I think there's also a possibility that we're taking in so much money that we may very well make a dividend to the people of America.
31:42Thank you all very much.
31:45Thank you very much.
