00:08state visit to Russia, his first since ascending the federal throne on January 31, 2024.

00:16The special aircraft carrying His Majesty landed at Venukovu II International Airport

00:22at 2.20 p.m. local time, where he was welcomed with full ceremonial honors.

00:28Receiving Sultan Ibrahim were Russian Science and Higher Education Minister Valery Falkov

00:33and Acting Director of the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry's State Protocol Department,

00:38Georgi Kuznetsov.

00:39Also present were Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin and Russian Ambassador to Malaysia

00:45Neel Latapov.

00:47Accompanying His Majesty were Defense Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Minister

00:52in Attendance, Foreign Ministry Secretary General Datuk Seri Amran Mohamed Zin, and Malaysian

00:58Ambassador to Russia Datuk Cheong Lun Lai.

01:01Following the playing of national anthems and an inspection of the Guard of Honor, His Majesty

01:06departed for his hotel, where he was greeted by embassy staff, their families, and 30 Malaysian

01:13students.

01:14Sultan Ibrahim will be accorded an official welcome at the Kremlin, meet with Russian President

01:19Vladimir Putin, and attend a state banquet hosted in his honor.

01:23After concluding engagements in Moscow, His Majesty will travel to Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan,

01:29for the second leg of the visit.

01:32The visit, held at President Putin's invitation, is historic, marking the first state visit to

01:37Russia by a Malaysian head of state since diplomatic ties were established in 1967.

01:44This is Sultan Ibrahim's fourth state visit, following previous visits to Singapore, China,

01:48and Brunei.
