00:06in tradition held at Istana Negara on Saturday, marking the start of his five-year reign.

00:13The 65-year-old Sultan Ibrahim of Johor and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sophia, Queen of Malaysia,

00:19were accorded the royal salute twice by the Guard of Honour mounted by members of the

00:241st Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment.

00:32The national anthem was played twice with the hoisting of the royal standard of the

00:36young Dipertuan Agong.

00:38Sultan Ibrahim inspected the Guard of Honour comprising military officers during the ceremony

00:44that began at 9.49 am.

00:47In his royal address, Sultan Ibrahim said he will safeguard the well-being of all segments

00:53of society, while hoping that the government will reduce the people's burden and develop

00:59the nation further.

01:11The installation ceremony was attended by some 700 guests, including Malay rulers, governors,

01:35and foreign dignitaries and leaders, and it was viewed by many more people around the

01:41King of Bahrain Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Sultan of Brunei Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah,

01:48and Singaporean Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong also graced the event.
