00:00It's certainly a little bit of a different tone
00:03than you got from previous head coaches.
00:07And what I hear ultimately, like when you kind of step back,
00:13is confidence, confidence from the coach that they will get there.
00:20And maybe what he's dropping, and perhaps it's not intentional,
00:25but, like, it's not going to happen immediately.
00:28Like, and I know that that would probably not be what people
00:35who are talking about playoffs this season want to hear,
00:39but they're going to try to go out and make the playoffs.
00:44But you're starting over, you've done a lot of work on the roster,
00:50and candidly there's probably more work to do on the roster moving forward,
00:56but it's going to take some time.
00:59And just look at how Dan Campbell started in Detroit.
01:02Yeah.
01:03What was he, four and, I've written it,
01:06I think he was like four and 19 or something in his first 23 games.
01:11Now, nobody's predicting the Bears are going to lose 19 of their next 23 football games,
01:18but I think it's going to take some time.
01:23And his direct nature, his candor is certainly appreciated,
01:28but you've got to be careful in terms of how that message resonates in your locker room as well,
01:34because the player's got to feel like you have their back as well, right?
01:39Definitely.
01:39Yeah.
01:40That's the one thing he runs the risk of losing is,
01:44or just endangering that respect level if you are too direct and too honest and open.
01:51Yeah, and I don't think he's crossed that line,
01:54but I think he's getting, you know, yeah, when you have,
01:57when you go out in your 10th practice and you have a whole slew of delay of game calls
02:03and it's still messy at the line of scrimmage,
02:05you're not going to win a lot of games, right?
02:07Like, I don't think he's taking any players and putting them under the bus with a statement like that.
