00:00in that small school she was the popular one she was a jugglet and she was the queen bee in the
00:16group a new girl arrives she's 16 she's so hot she wasn't going to be controlled I never seen
00:25her fight but I know she wasn't scared we had two girls one was missing and one was telling us a bunch
00:32of lies this was two worlds colliding how can a 16 year old have that much hate for anybody
00:55today's date is January 25th approximately 7 0 8 right now we're out at Blackhawk State Park
01:11in Rock Island in the middle of the night investigators from the civilian police
01:17department they're looking into a missing person case I'll lead the way
01:20a person that was known to be involved in the incident took our group down a sharp incline
01:29that goes down towards the Rock River after that are we already there he took our group down the
01:39trail and led us to a manhole looking down into the abandoned sewer
01:49we observed a black plastic bag how far down we looking 10 feet in my career I had worked numerous
02:02numerous very violent crimes but if you're a black bag looks like there'd be a head right there to a
02:08skull right there at the top right there at the top this is the most violent case that I ever worked
02:19East Moline Illinois is midtown America it is the heart of the Midwest it sits right on the Mississippi
02:29River borders with Iowa John Deere's World Headquarters is there so everybody's very invested in farming and
02:37small-town America in 2004 I was a teenager in East Moline after bowling roller skating movies there's only so
02:52much that you could do so I wanted to leave all the time but I was stuck here in 2004 Lisa Shaw is a
03:05junior at Black Hawk Outreach Center an alternative high school where the troubled teens of East Moline
03:11are sent for a second chance it's an assortment of misfits some of us left school for different
03:19reasons some of us were kicked out of school I think some of us like me just we're trying to finish
03:25school on our own time at most high schools popularity is based on looks or money but at Black Hawk
03:32it's all about being the baddest and at the top of that list is a bunch of misfits known as the
03:40juggalettes back in the 90s the insane clown posse started their hip-hop duo and fans of insane clown
03:53posse are known as juggalos or guys or juggalettes but you're a girl Taylor may have her Swifties with
04:01their cute friendship bracelets but these teenage girls are proud to be the exact opposite the
04:08juggalettes and the juggalos and the imagery of the insane clown posse it's very horror core Halloween
04:15dark carnival and some of the lyrics are also sort of depicting this violent dark side this music
04:24that they were producing was very violent the lyrics it wasn't something you could put on the radio some
04:29of even just the names of the songs chop chop slide referencing axes and chalk outlines and murdering
04:40situations you don't like ICP we don't say it's not for you we're sorry we offended you we say so what
04:47I'll kick your ass I think it's very easy for people to look at that and say oh they're just creating this
04:52violent community but it's actually done in a very tongue-in-cheek way part of the reason is sort of a
04:57facetious leaning into they are the outsiders of society so just like that the juggalettes will also
05:05sometimes paint their faces like evil clowns and sort of embrace being this misfit community but if
05:13the juggalette attitude is just for fun the East Moline contingent didn't get the memo they would see
05:19these kids at times around town and there would always be groups of them they attracted these teens
05:24that had a lot of angst that had anger that were upset feel like they were fighting against the world I
05:30just remember they'd be like the loud kids that'd be kicking shit you know breaking stuff in public you
05:36know this random stuff in an alley you know break it and they were just out being obnoxious and they
05:45were kind of mean and at Blackhawk there's one girl who takes clowning around more seriously than the
05:52rest the undisputed Queen of the East Molim juggalettes Sarah Kolb Sarah Kolb she was the queen bee in the
06:03group and a lot of people not just the juggalettes the juggalos kind of followed what Sarah did what
06:11Sarah said in that small school she was the popular one people did gravitate to her she had an energy about
06:18her and she was liked she had a sort of goth meets grunge look about her she's kind of risen to the top
06:26of the juggalettes and they are all looking up to her and kind of falling at her feet in a sense because
06:34she has this power among them and that kind of power isn't given it's earned Sarah Kolb was born in April of
06:441988 she was born in Germany to an American military family and her family eventually moved back
06:49stateside and things kind of fell apart at home her parents split her dad moved out of state I met Sarah
06:57in elementary school then she was kind of like a different kid she was always kind of quiet she used
07:07to be picked on and I think it was because she kind of had like a bump in her nose fast forward to
07:13Blackhawk and there's Sarah completely different person I'm used to seeing a quiet little kid she
07:20was a juggalette and now she brought herself to school every day with confidence kind of like I'm
07:28a badass what's up she carried herself like she had no cares in the world but Sarah does care about one
07:39thing loyalty Sarah had a control over her clique and people were afraid of crossing her she had that
07:47sort of charisma to get people to do what she wanted so now she has her family so to speak her community
07:54Sarah had this power because she was really good at manipulating people Sarah could be really nice she
08:02would draw people in she would get them to really like her and turn around on them you know like well
08:10now I'm mad at you Sarah really liked to screw with people's minds when it comes to mind games it's like a
08:17coin toss where the fix is in heads Sarah wins tails everyone else loses she had just this kind of real ease
08:28about being mean she would talk about people she hung out with she would say things that weren't very
08:36nice about them but they were still hanging out with her she kept people like that close to her if
08:41she couldn't get a hold on you you weren't gonna be in her group if Sarah stopped liking you that might
08:49not end well for you Sarah isn't just mean she's also mysterious something about Sarah that I think
09:02captivated a lot of people around her and a lot of the friends around her was did she like girls did
09:08she like boys did she like both she would mention guys and then she would mention girls so I assumed she
09:17was really fluid sexually there was a bit of a tease element to her on whether or not she was dating
09:25this person or dating this girl she definitely had a way of manipulating this group to keep the
09:32juggalettes in her trance but in November of 2004 an outsider disrupts the dynamic in the halls of
09:43Blackhawk a fresh-faced new student from a completely different world Texas
09:48in the fall of 2004 Sarah's a junior at Blackhawk when a new girl arrives at the Blackhawk Outreach
10:01Center Adrian Reynolds Adrian is pretty she has a real likability about her and she attracts the
10:09attention of Sarah Cole I don't think there's any way to know that this would turn ugly these were two
10:17girls with really strong personalities I don't think anybody ever expected the explosion that these two
10:26worlds colliding would have
10:28the fall of 2004 Sarah's working at the local movie theater she's a junior at school she's one of the few that has a car that has a job so her social
10:52status is elevated especially in this group of misfits and students that are struggling
10:58but suddenly she's no longer the only one turning heads in the hallways
11:05Adrian's the cute Texan with the southern accent she comes in she's the new fish she's getting circled in the pond
11:18she just immediately started attracting attention of other students everybody's like who's this new girl everybody wants to know more about her
11:27Adrian was born September 12 1988 Adrian's mom was only like think like 15 and she just wasn't able to take care of Adrian so we adopted her
11:42she called me Joe and him dad there was a lot of drama in the family conflicts between her and her mom and at school we decided that it would be better for her to start her life back here in East
11:56Moline we just knew she wouldn't finish school she hated school so we thought this was the answer for her to get her GED
12:04when Adrian started at Black Hawk in November 2004 I felt good because she liked that she wasn't complaining about the homework
12:11and making friends was her first priority
12:18Adrian was very savvy and she knew that she needed to find her group quickly because if she didn't it was going to be very difficult for her she knew she needed to fit in to survive really
12:29and there's someone at Black Hawk who has already set her sights on the pretty girl with the Texas drawl
12:36I remember one day she came home and she says oh I met this really cool girl Sarah Cole she works at the movie theaters and she can take us to the movies and she buys me lunch
12:47when Sarah first met Adrian at Black Hawk she was captivated by her she wouldn't stop talking about her she was like obsessed with her
12:58she was like obsessed with this pretty new girl from Texas Sarah was always talking about Adrian Adrian she's 16 she's so hot she was trying to swoop her up and make her her girl
13:13Adrian did open up to me about Sarah wanting to date her
13:18Adrian had never dated a girl I mean she was only 16 ain't like she dated that much anyway
13:25but she was bi-curious in other words she was thinking about it
13:32I think that Adrian told Sarah that she was bisexual just to make good friends with Sarah Cole and be her friend and be accepted
13:44the one thing that confused me about the two was they were opposites
13:48Sarah was a juggalo wore black clothes black lip makeup baggy clothes
13:55and Adrian wore skin tight blue jeans and a crop top or whatever they call them
14:01so they were total opposites as far as looking at each other but Sarah had the most friends
14:08so Adrian hung around with her so everybody would like her too
14:14while no one is sure if Sarah and Adrian are just friends or something more
14:21before long Queen Sarah is showing off her new companion to her crew of clowns
14:28including juggalo Cory Gregory
14:31through Sarah Adrian got to know Cory Gregory pretty well
14:37he was always with Sarah kind of like a shadow
14:44Cory was in a relationship with Sarah briefly
14:48and Sarah wasn't really into the my boyfriend type of thing
14:52she kind of wanted him as more of a sidekick or a wingman
14:56just to stir up whatever she wanted to do
14:58so Sarah and Cory weren't dating at that point
15:02but he was a little obsessed
15:06I think that Sarah liked having Cory sort of enamored with her
15:11I think she liked that somebody was sort of following her around like a puppy dog
15:15I think he was willing to do anything for Sarah to keep her attention
15:23but with Adrian now on the scene Sarah's attention is harder to come by
15:28Sarah was taking her places bringing her around her friends
15:32she would just talk about hanging out with Adrian all the time
15:35and she was just elated to tell everybody likes Adrian now
15:38because I brought her in
15:40I'm making her popular
15:42of course in Sarah's world no one is really in
15:46until she gives them the golden ticket to the party house
15:49this party house was in Rock Island Illinois
15:59and it's a hangout with kids
16:01they all sit around drinking
16:03getting high making out
16:05doing what kids do
16:07this party house where the juggalos hung out
16:11and the juggalettes it was like their headquarters
16:13during Christmas break
16:21Sarah invites Adrian to the party house
16:25and to be invited to the party house
16:31you're almost part of this group now
16:33so you have to go by a code
16:35it's basically like you know being initiated into the juggalos group
16:40I wasn't at the party
16:43it wasn't really my thing
16:44but Sarah told me that
16:46at the party Sarah wants Adrian to mingle
16:49be free with everybody
16:51we're all a family
16:52this is how you show us that you're down with us
16:55just be free with everybody
16:57have sex
16:58kiss
17:00do whatever you want
17:01we're all a family
17:02and Adrian did
17:04she met a boy
17:05she ended up having sex with him that night
17:07and this is something that Sarah kind of had already laid the groundwork for
17:16it wasn't really an initiation to the juggalos group
17:19it was more of like a trap
17:22Sarah was basically giving her a loyalty test
17:25you know
17:26is she going to sleep with anybody
17:28if I tell her she can
17:29and when Adrian did
17:31she failed the test
17:32Sarah turned very mean to her
17:38and was calling her a slut
17:40and that she spreads like peanut butter and all kinds of stuff
17:44and Adrian came home pretty upset that night
17:50Adrian was absolutely blindsided
17:53she was the new kid
17:54came in
17:55had some cool kids befriend her
17:58she's getting brought to the parties
18:01and then there's this like drama all of a sudden
18:05Adrian wasn't a wallflower
18:07who was going to be told what to do
18:08and what not to do
18:10after Sarah tricked her
18:12and kind of ran her through the mud
18:14and made her feel like shit
18:16she kind of sat back
18:17and was like
18:18you know what
18:19this
18:20all these other people like me
18:21I'm going to be here
18:23in the Quad Cities
18:24and enjoy my time here
18:25I'm going to go have fun
18:26these people are going to be my friends
18:29she wasn't going to let Sarah tell her
18:31where she could and couldn't go
18:37and two days later
18:39Adrian pushes back
18:42Adrian went back
18:43and she was partying at the party house
18:45without Sarah
18:47somebody there called Sarah
18:49and said you're friends here
18:51Sarah thought she had Adrian
18:55under her control
18:57so by Adrian going back
18:58to the party house
18:59she's sort of saying
19:00you do not have control over me
19:01it is like poking the bear
19:04Sarah skirts over there
19:06comes in mad
19:08but Adrian stood up to Sarah
19:12Adrian wasn't going to be controlled
19:14Sarah showed up at that juggalo party house
19:30and she was furious
19:32because she caught Adrian at this party house without her
19:35so Sarah Kolb actually pulled a knife
19:39out on Adrian
19:41and was threatening her with it
19:46it was a threat
19:47it was a very clear message
19:49that she was still in charge
19:52Adrian kind of just clapped back
19:54and said you know
19:55I'm not that girl
19:56you brought me here
19:57you gave me this
19:58and I'm going to enjoy it
20:01I never seen her fist to cuff as they say it
20:04but I know she wasn't scared to
20:06Adrian probably knew
20:08just because you pull a knife
20:10don't mean you're bad enough to use it
20:17I think that Adrian showing up that day
20:19and standing up to Sarah
20:21when she was angry
20:22and like wanted to fight her
20:24I think that really like checked a box for Sarah
20:27that hadn't been checked before
20:28Sarah was used to like manipulating people
20:31and making people maybe fear her a little bit
20:34and Adrian just threw that out the door
20:37she kind of knocked her confidence
20:40Adrian was gaining popularity over Sarah
20:43and Sarah felt it
20:44she knew it
20:46I just think it was just a toxic mixture of Adrian
20:49wanting to be accepted
20:50and trying to fight to fit in
20:52even if it meant knocking the Queen
20:53be out of the way
20:54I'll be her
20:56Sarah backs down
20:57and away from her fellow juggalettes
20:59for now
21:01but she's got more than a few tricks up her sleeve
21:12it's the new year
21:13we're coming back to school
21:15I expect to hear Sarah talking about Adrian some more
21:19and she kind of stopped talking about her
21:22finally
21:24and this time the story is
21:26I'm not talking to that bitch
21:28her
21:29instead of it being all about Adrian
21:32with Sarah
21:33now she's dating a boy
21:34and ignoring Adrian
21:36and so it's Sarah and Sean
21:39as in
21:40fellow Blackhawk student
21:41and juggalo to Sarah's juggalette
21:43Sean McKittrick
21:46I definitely think
21:47Sarah was using Sean
21:49as like
21:50look Adrian
21:51I can date whoever I want to date
21:53and now
21:54now I'm dating a man
21:55you're not important to me
21:58but two can play that game
22:02so Adrian
22:04her next play here
22:05is to go after somebody
22:07that is really close to Sarah
22:11and Adrian
22:12says she wants to date Corey Gregory
22:14Corey is the boy that followed Sarah around
22:19would do anything for her
22:20so Adrian turns around
22:22and does the one thing that she knows
22:24is going to get to Sarah
22:27I think that Adrian was kind of giving Sarah
22:30a taste of her own medicine
22:32and Corey is allowing it to happen
22:35Corey was just somebody who could be treated as property
22:39maybe he liked it
22:40but he found like a new obsession in Adrian
22:44and he was getting treated better maybe
22:47so Adrian's like
22:49you have a boyfriend
22:50you
22:51and I'm hanging out with Corey now
22:52because
22:53obviously he likes hanging out with me too
22:57but Sarah didn't want Adrian to have Corey
23:00because Corey was her best friend
23:01and she didn't want him
23:02but she didn't want nobody else to have him
23:04neither girl was going to back down from this
23:10they were both very strong personalities
23:13Sarah and Adrian met their match with each other
23:17but just when it seems things couldn't get any worse
23:21something totally unexpected happens
23:24on Friday January 21st
23:27there was like finally a little truce
23:29that was supposed to happen
23:311230 on that Friday
23:33I saw Sarah Corey Adrian and Sean
23:37all got in Sarah's car and went out to lunch
23:42they were finally going to talk it out
23:44and maybe just be friends
23:46so there wasn't some kind of like beef between them anymore
23:49Monday I decided not to go to school that day
24:02when I didn't show up my friend called me
24:05she told me that Sarah and Adrian didn't show up to school
24:11that was when everything like really changed
24:17on the 21st when I came home from work
24:29and Adrian wasn't at home
24:32it was getting to be five o'clock
24:34she had me to work at her hamburger place
24:36and I go in her bedroom
24:38there's her uniform for the hamburger place
24:41so I'm starting to get scared
24:43at 815 we called the East Bowling Police Department
24:47because we didn't know what to do
24:49Adrian Reynolds was reported missing
24:51only numerous hours after she was last seen by anybody
24:56Adrian's parents had a list of friends
24:59that Adrian hung out with
25:01that they gave to the East Bowling Police Department
25:03at the top of that list was Sarah Kolb
25:06police start by calling her house
25:13Hello?
25:14Hello, is this Sarah?
25:15Yes it is
25:16This is Officer Allen East Bowling Police Department
25:17Hi
25:18Are you friends with Adrian Reynolds?
25:20To be honest, no
25:22I don't like her
25:25Sarah told him that she was in fact with Adrian on Friday the 21st
25:30and that the last she saw of Adrian is when she dropped her off at McDonalds
25:37Well how is it that she, you know, was in the car with you today?
25:42Were you supposed to give her a ride or something?
25:44Yeah, I wasn't supposed to give her a ride
25:46we got into an argument at school
25:49in between classes
25:51and she was crying to me
25:53and she kept going on and on about
25:55and I was like, well, let's talk her over at lunch
25:58I'll drive you home
26:05She had been hanging out with my friend who likes me
26:08and I like him
26:09but she liked him
26:10and we got into an argument about that
26:12because, you know, she wouldn't leave him alone
26:14when we were in my car, we got into an argument about it
26:17and it just went on and on and on
26:20As the girls argue over Corey
26:22he and Sean listen silently in the back seat
26:25and I was like, you know what?
26:27I don't even want to be your friend
26:29I don't want anything to do with it
26:31and basically we just apologized
26:33she said she was sorry
26:34I said I was sorry for being
26:36for acting the way that I did
26:37because I know I overreacted
26:39and I said, I'm going to take you home now
26:41and she's like, you know, my dad can't see you
26:44that I'm in the car with a boy
26:45I said, I'll drop you off in the gong
26:47but that was it
26:51Based on Sarah saying they just dropped her off at that point
26:55you have to wonder
26:57was she abducted, kidnapped by somebody?
27:00Did she get in the car and go somewhere with somebody else?
27:04A boy or something like that?
27:06But at this point, we really have no clue, you know, where she's at
27:12She didn't say anything about going anywhere else
27:15or any other friends to hang out with or anything like that?
27:17No, I thought she had to work tonight
27:20She was supposed to
27:22Her mom's freaking out, I mean, obviously
27:24she doesn't know where her kid is
27:25Right
27:26But she's completely understandable
27:27She should be upset
27:29I think I got everything I can from you
27:31If you do hear anything, I would appreciate it
27:34if you would call me and let me know
27:36Okay
27:44That weekend, we were putting up photos and stuff
27:48in East Moline
27:50I can remember just pacing the floor, scared to death
27:53By Sunday, we're thinking something happened
27:56because she would have come home by then
28:01With no answers, police go to speak to the other people in the car
28:05Corey Gregory and Sean McKittrick
28:08When Corey Gregory was contacted
28:10he gave a story that was similar to Sarah Coles
28:14So officers contacted Sean
28:17and that is where the investigation started to go
28:21in a different direction
28:23According to Sean, it wasn't just a verbal fight
28:26between Adrian and Sarah in the car that day
28:29It got physical
28:30In the back seat at this time were Corey Gregory and Sean McKittrick
28:34When it got to a physical altercation
28:36Apparently Sean McKittrick raised concern
28:41and Sarah Coles told Sean McKittrick
28:44if he didn't like it
28:45to get the out of the car
28:47and Sean McKittrick ended up getting out of the car
28:50and walking back to school that day
28:53Well, after Sean's statement
28:57we then knew that there was a physical altercation that happened
29:00At this point, we had two girls
29:02One was missing and one was telling us a bunch of lies
29:06Hello?
29:16Hello, Sarah?
29:17Yes?
29:18This is Officer Johnson of East Moline
29:19Okay
29:20I just need to talk to you again about the incident with Adrian
29:23Okay
29:24Okay?
29:25Just refresh my memory
29:27because I haven't heard it straight from you
29:29Um...
29:30I don't leave anything out
29:31It's important
29:32It's becoming more important every hour
29:35Just like before
29:37Sarah says she and Adrian argued over Corey
29:40Only this time
29:42she adds the details police already heard from Sean
29:46Yeah, we had this argument
29:48and she was like, you know, da-da-da-da-da
29:52you're just pissed off because you're a slut too
29:55Okay
29:56And I'll be honest with you
29:58I hit her
30:00Okay
30:01She hit me back
30:02Okay
30:03And I'll prompt her
30:04She hit me pretty hard too
30:05Okay
30:06But the point is we got into...
30:08It hit her
30:09She hit me back
30:10Um...
30:11My friend Sean got out of the car
30:14And he walked back to the school
30:16Okay, so you guys argue?
30:18Then you hit her, she hit you back?
30:20Yeah
30:21Yeah
30:22How am I gonna lie to you?
30:24Well, that's what's the most important thing right now
30:27is just not lying
30:28That's how we got to where we're at
30:29What did you mean by that?
30:31Well, I just talked to, uh, Corey
30:33Yeah?
30:34I said, Corey
30:35She has no idea what you guys were arguing about
30:38That nothing happened
30:39You guys made up
30:40And that, uh...
30:41Make up, don't
30:42Unless she just requested to be let out of McDonald's
30:44And nothing else happened
30:45I didn't hear anything about Sean
30:47I didn't hear anything about a hit
30:50Okay
30:51I...
30:52I can tell the one is lying
30:53And now...
30:54Now I don't know who is
30:55It's just...
30:56Alright, think of it this way
30:57No second
30:58I get in an argument with a girl
31:00Right
31:01It's physical
31:02And then she disappears
31:03Exactly
31:04Yes
31:05That's the problem
31:18Sarah Cole was talked to
31:20At least a few times
31:21During the first couple days
31:23Each time
31:24She was giving a little more information
31:30The only thing
31:31The East Moline Police Department knew
31:33Is that Adrian got in a vehicle
31:35With Corey, Gregory, Sarah Cole
31:38And Sean McKittrick
31:40And they left to go to lunch
31:42That's the only part of the story
31:44That was consistent
31:46By everybody that they got in that car
31:57On Tuesday, January 25th
31:59Corey Gregory's attorney
32:00Contacted the East Moline Police Department
32:02And indicated that he and his client
32:04Corey Gregory
32:05Wanted to come and talk to detectives
32:07Corey is finally ready to spill the tea
32:11All of it
32:12What Corey Gregory revealed
32:14Is that
32:16On January 21st
32:17Corey Gregory
32:18Sarah Cole
32:19Sean McKittrick
32:20And Adrian
32:21Went to lunch
32:22They went to the
32:23Taco Bell parking lot
32:25Taco Bell parking lot
32:26In Moline
32:27In Moline
32:28An argument broke out
32:34After Sean left the vehicle
32:36The fight ensued in the front seat
32:38Between Sarah and Adrian
32:39And Adrian was fighting back
32:42And Corey said that
32:46Sarah used an object
32:48And struck Adrian Reynolds in the head
32:51And then choked her
32:53Apparently at that point
32:55Sarah drug her into the back seat
32:57And covered her with a coat
32:59And then choked her into the back
33:02Corey told the police
33:04Things just spiraled out of control
33:06That Sarah had killed Adrian
33:09And that Corey was a witness to it all
33:14After Taco Bell
33:16They took Adrian's body out to
33:18Some farmland
33:19That was Sarah Cole's grandfather's
33:22While they were there
33:23Sarah tried to burn
33:25Her body
33:26And was not successful
33:28In doing it
33:31Corey said
33:32They came back the following day
33:34With a saw
33:35And to basically cut it up
33:37And then try to dispose of it
33:43After the interview
33:45Corey
33:46His attorney
33:47And several police officers
33:50Myself involved
33:51Went to Blackhawk State Park
33:53He said during the interview
33:54It landed on the rock
33:56We retrieved the black plastic bag
33:59And contents
34:00From the bottom of the sewer
34:02And inside the black plastic bag
34:05Were the head and arms
34:07Of the victim
34:09Adrian Reynolds
34:17He said
34:24He said
34:25At 2 o'clock in the morning
34:26I get a phone call
34:27That says
34:28This is the police
34:29And we're at your front door
34:30And I remember them saying
34:31That they
34:32Found Adrian
34:33Then it was like quiet
34:35and then it was like quiet.
34:39To me, it felt like, are you going to say something else?
34:45Or like we found her, and she's, you know, whatever.
34:51We're going to bring her home, and that's what I'm waiting on.
34:53But they found her body, and just went to crying.
35:05The next day, the rest of Adrian's body is recovered.
35:12Sarah Kolb is arrested and charged as an adult with murder.
35:18In the end, Sarah, who always demanded total loyalty and devotion,
35:24is betrayed by her most loyal and devoted follower.
35:28And there's much more to come.
35:31Out of the blue, after this incident made the news
35:35of the arrest of Sarah Kolb,
35:37a new name came up into the investigation, Nathan Gaudette.
35:40Nathan's grandma heard on the news that Sarah Kolb was arrested,
35:44and she contacted police.
35:46We're here with Nathan Gaudette.
35:48Can you go ahead and tell us what happened?
35:51We're ready to start.
35:53Start from the beginning.
35:55Nathan Gaudette was in the Juggalo group with them,
35:58and he was known for liking to cut things up.
36:04Sarah was having to figure out what
36:06to do with Adrian's body, so she called Nathan Gaudette.
36:11He provided the saw that was used
36:13to saw up the body of Adrian Reynolds,
36:17and that he helped dispose of the body.
36:20He also said that Corey Gregory was much more involved
36:23than what Corey had indicated to police during his interview.
36:27On the way to Alita, I guess they put a belt around her neck.
36:32Who put the belt around her neck?
36:34Correct.
36:35What Corey Gregory failed to tell in his interview
36:38is that when Adrian was strangled,
36:41he took the belt, he put it around her neck,
36:45and basically finished the job.
36:48He didn't tell that part at all,
36:51and then he also minimized his role in cutting up the body.
36:56What parts of the body did you saw?
37:00The head in the house.
37:03What parts of the body did Corey saw?
37:06The boys.
37:09I think this was all Sarah Kolb's doing,
37:12and when Corey seen Adrian fighting back,
37:14he had to help his friend.
37:16I don't know if she manipulated him before
37:19and held something over him.
37:21I don't know, but Corey was so used to, like,
37:24Sarah holding his leash
37:25that he ended up doing whatever Sarah asked for him.
37:31With this new information, Corey Gregory was arrested
37:35for the murder and disposing of the body.
37:39He and Sarah are charged as adults,
37:42and also Nathan Gaudette was arrested
37:46and charged as a juvenile, though,
37:48for the disposing of the body of Adrian Reynolds.
37:56Sarah Kolb's trial began on October 31, 2005.
38:00It was Halloween.
38:02On a really surprising move,
38:04Sarah's defense attorney decided to put her on the stand.
38:07Everything that she said, she deflected to Corey Gregory
38:11that it was him, that he did it all,
38:13that she was almost like an innocent bystander in all of this.
38:16It wasn't a good look for Sarah Kolb,
38:18and the prosecutors ripped her apart.
38:21Whether the murder was premeditated or not,
38:25nobody but Sarah Kolb would know.
38:28She was found guilty, and at sentencing,
38:31she was sentenced to 53 years
38:33in the Department of Corrections by the judge.
38:37Corey Gregory never made it to trial.
38:39He actually pled guilty in exchange for his testimony,
38:43and he was sentenced to 45 years in prison.
38:47Nathan Gaudette pled guilty
38:49and was charged as a juvenile and pled guilty
38:52and was sentenced to five years.
38:54At Sarah's sentencing, we read our victim impact statements.
39:03Then they asked Sarah if she had anything she wanted to say.
39:08Sarah said, when Adrian died, I felt nothing.
39:13I cried a million times,
39:15and I don't think I ever seen her shed a tear.
39:18Not once.
39:19No remorse at all.
39:21How can a 16-year-old have that much hate for anybody?
39:30Looking back at the case,
39:31I think Adrian lost her life
39:33basically out of pure jealousy.
39:35Sarah was the queen at school,
39:37and Adrian was chipping away at her fiefdom,
39:40and Sarah Kolb didn't like that.
39:43I think Adrian died trying to fit in.
39:47Adrian was, like, the type of person
39:49that wanted to fit in
39:50and be accepted.
39:52And then Sarah was kind of, like,
39:54the person that liked to be in control of everything.
39:57They should have never met.
39:59Sarah Kolb and Corey Gregory are violent people.
40:03They were also members of the Juggalos,
40:06but this is not the Juggalos' fault.
40:08This is not who the Juggalos are
40:10and what they stand for.
40:12This is something that Sarah Kolb and Corey Gregory did,
40:15because they are violent and evil people.
40:22I miss Adrian every day.
40:23I think about her every day.
40:25It's been almost 20 years,
40:27but it's like it was yesterday.
40:29It never goes away.
40:31I wrote this poem for Adrian after she was gone.
40:35It's kind of simple, but it goes,
40:38life is like a poker game.
40:41God does the dealing.
40:44You played the hand you were dealt,
40:46even though it wasn't that good.
40:48You held on to it, and you did the best you could.
40:52You were dealt to be my daughter,
40:54and I was dealt to be your dad.
40:56And no matter how the game turned out,
40:59you're the best hand I've ever had.
41:05That's it.
41:11On the next Mean Girl Murders...
41:13The gym is more than just a place to work out.
41:16But when you see somebody who's younger and prettier,
41:19that's gonna bring you jealousy.
41:24And I'm like, oh, my God.
41:25Just an absolute nightmare.
41:27She's evil.
41:28No question whatsoever.
