00:00it's 6 a.m. on the east coast it's monday august 4th and this is fox and friends texas state
00:11democrats fleeing to illinois as they look to resist the state's redistricting efforts
00:17wait till you hear what governor abbott has in store for them if they don't come back to the
00:22lone star state plus even president trump is weighing in on the sydney sweeney ad campaign
00:29controversy as another video of the actress at a shooting range goes viral i think it's a boss move
00:37and the great american farmers market is officially open in the national mall as rfk jr and other
00:44cabinet members are teaming up for a big maha announcement it's good to have y'all here
00:49sandra and charlotte fox and prince starts right now
00:52texas governor greg abbott threatening to remove state democrats from office after they left the
01:02state to prevent a new congressional map from going into effect todd pyro has the latest on this story
01:07good morning todd good morning to all three of you governor greg abbott warning texas house democrats
01:12that he will have them removed from office if they do not return to the state to vote on the gop's
01:18proposed new congressional map by this afternoon abbott not mincing words saying quote real texans do not
01:25run from a fight but that's exactly what most of the texas house democrats just did the truancy ends
01:32now ordering them to be in attendance when the house reconvenes today at 3 p.m otherwise the texas
01:38governor threatening to initiate legal action to remove the missing state lawmakers from membership
01:44this all comes in response to the more than 50 democrats that left the state yesterday in protest
01:50of the redistricting proposal that could cut democrat house seats and would move congresswoman jasmine
01:55crockett's home out of her district ahead of the 2026 midterms if donald trump is allowed to do this
02:04if he is allowed to once again cheat and get away with it there is no stopping this this will spread
02:12across the country this is an american and this is undemocratic republicans are stealing our democracy
02:20right before our very eyes but with democrats out of the state the vote that was scheduled to take
02:27place during the state's special session is at risk we know that you are making great sacrifices
02:34to resist the power grab that's being perpetrated by donald trump by governor abbott
02:40and by texas republicans we will not let power go unchecked right or let your voices and their voices
02:49go unheard dnc chair ken martin displaying his support for texas democrats saying quote for weeks
02:56we've been warning that if republicans in texas want a showdown to cravenly protect trump from an
03:02inevitable midterm meltdown then we'd give them that showdown the dnc is proud to support these
03:07legislators in standing up and showing real leadership the proposal could net five new
03:13gop seats redrawing lines to include more republican leaning areas in cities like dallas and houston
03:19we're going to see how it all plays out 3 p.m today in texas guys back to you all right todd pyro thank
03:26you very much i mean they can't stay out of the state indefinitely right and he can just call
03:30another i guess he could just call another session right another 30-day session after this one ends
03:36they'll have to come back and face the music eventually and pritzker got a rise out of you
03:41they're cheating is what they're saying yeah no well it's all really kind of comical because you
03:46know you have all of these problems that their voters care about but this is the problem that
03:52is the all hands on deck moment this is the problem and the reason this is the problem that
03:56they're so concerned about this is the one that they break the glass for that they do whatever they
04:01have to do to fix is because it threatens their power it threatens their ability to uh to to be at
04:08the controls of power and so um so it's i just think it's kind of interesting what people choose
04:13to fight over well the republicans have actually been quite gracious uh to the democrats uh in texas
04:20for a long time a lot of this map business i mean democrats have been doing this for years
04:25the republicans rewarded a lot of the moderate democrats like eddie bernice johnson jasmine
04:30crockett's uh predecessor because she was more of a moderate and so they allowed her to keep the
04:36south dallas area but now there's no use because she doesn't want to work with the republicans and
04:41there used to be this saying in texas that texas was turning blue the numbers just don't show that
04:47when you look back in 2012 uh it was a plus 16 for republicans 2016 went down to nine
04:53and then 2020 it went down to six but in 2024 because donald trump got asian vote black voters
04:59and literally destroyed democrats in the valley when it came to the latino votes it went back up
05:05to plus 14 so you know they can fight this out or not show up to the fight at all it doesn't change
05:11the math here and it looks like the republicans are going to get what they want democrats want this
05:16to go to the courts because that's how they do all their battles now they want unelected people to
05:21decide on our maps but i i think it's going to end up going the republicans way all right we shall
05:27see another thing everybody's talking about is president trump and his decision to fire the head
05:33of the bureau of labor statistics or bls he's defending that move but some democrats are pretty
05:39upset about it and it comes as trump's historic new tariffs are set to take effect this week
05:44madeline rivera joins us live from washington with the details good morning maddie good morning the
05:50fallout over the president's decision to fire former bls commissioner erica mcintarfer is escalating
05:56the president is accusing mcintarfer of bringing the jobs data which shows only 73 000 were added in july
06:02the numbers for may and june were revised down by 258 000 from earlier estimates economic experts say
06:10the bls commissioner has nothing to do with the data collection saying it's put together by hundreds of
06:15people following detailed procedures but national economic council director kevin has said is floating
06:20the possibility of changing the calculations so that there are fewer revisions and getting a fresh set
06:26of eyes at the bls we could be learning who the new commissioner is soon we'll be announcing a new
06:32statistician sometime over the next three four days we had no confidence i mean the numbers were
06:39ridiculous which he announced but that was just one weaponizing no longer just the department of
06:45justice when he's trying to weaponize the bureau of labor statistics that tells you a lot about their
06:51insecurity about the economy and the state of economic affairs in america despite data showing hiring is
06:58slowing down the white house indicates it's still moving ahead with tariffs could a market reaction prompt
07:05president trump to change these tariff rates again the the markets have seen what we're doing and
07:10celebrated them and so i don't see how that would happen okay but not ruling it out no i would rule
07:16it out because these are the final deals those new reciprocal tariff rates are set to take effect
07:21in three days lauren sandra and charlie all right there's a lot of ways to look at this right thank
07:26you so much madeline um okay so this is one of the most important pieces of economic data that the markets get
07:32and that we get as a snapshot of how our economy is doing how the labor market is faring
07:37and these revisions are huge i mean they revised down 258 000 that is a big difference they don't
07:43change the headline unemployment rate right that does not they don't that is not included in the
07:49revisions but the amount of jobs it is why is that because they sometimes businesses report after the
07:55report comes in like this is a delayed look at the labor market right it's from the previous month
07:59and so sometimes those businesses report late and they have to factor those in their seasonal
08:04adjustments happen as well so basically what president trump and you heard it from kevin hassett
08:09is that maybe we need a fresh look at how we're doing this because it is such a market moving event
08:15and such a important snapshot of how the economy is faring and maybe a new set of eyes is a good thing
08:21it's the timing of this i think that's being called into question because they're doing this
08:25the president is calling for the firing right after a jobs neighbor number came out that didn't
08:31look so good well i still believe the economy is strong i think the the president is winning
08:35winning his tariff agenda you're seeing these big deals happen especially with the eu
08:40uk um we're still looking to see what was going to happen with india but for my course this is not my
08:46area of expertise yeah this is exactly if there's constant revisions is someone doing their job then
08:56i mean just from the average day american that is watching this and you see they give us these big
09:01numbers and then months later they revise revise what about this is isn't the first revision are they
09:07qualified to do the job then they've looked into it and they're calling for investigations of it
09:12is any of this political uh obviously there's there could be human error involved there can be
09:17technology errors involved um basically the bls is saying we can do better the mistakes aren't good
09:23but they have looked into this in the past i mean there's been what have been called errors many
09:27times in the past and they've found no nefarious happenings or evidence of somebody really trying to
09:35maliciously put out a false report um you can take away from that what you will uh but the goal would be
09:41to improve this so it's a more accurate snapshot well and of course this is also another reason why
09:47you know when you when you have the low numbers that congress has that the federal government has
09:51uh in terms of faith of the american people that you you can't be surprised that people look at this
09:57and they see these errors and they so often go in one direction especially over the past four years
10:02under the bite administration they kept going in one you know helping before the election and then the
10:07revision would turn out uh to to actually lower the numbers yeah for jobs you can't have you can't be
10:13surprised that that americans look at this and say i don't trust these people i think that they're
10:17rigging it well this is add to that the federal reserve interest rate decision and jerome powell and
10:21the feuding with president trump over that because he has to take these numbers and factor them into
10:26whether or not we're in an environment where we want to lower interest rates to spur the economic
10:31growth and if the labor market reports initially said things are great but really we're getting
10:37these revisions that say that that jobs market wasn't so hot maybe his decision on interest rates
10:42would have been different so part of the allegation not just from the administration but many people in
10:46the president's camp is that because the president is so popular that government bureaucrats are doing
10:53anything they can to cook the numbers to go against the president and it's not just you know
10:59republicans that are saying that he's the most popular president you got cnn saying that he is
11:04the most influential president of this century watch the donald trump administration is implementing
11:11new tariffs this week and i believe it is part of a larger story that is that the donald trump
11:15administration is arguably the most influential this century and probably as well dating back a good
11:22portion of the last century as well love it like it lump it trump is remaking in the united states of
11:27america donald trump is the most influential president of this century and probably dating
11:32back a good portion of the last century that is because he is remaking the country in terms of
11:36tariffs he is remaking the country in terms of net migration and he is remaking the country in terms
11:42of how much policy changes he's putting through in executive orders this is all a result of the fact
11:48that you have president trump who's not afraid of any fight he does not shy away from any fight
11:52when he sees something that he wants changed or he sees something that he thinks is wrong
11:57he's going to go right to the heart of it i mean nine months think about that it's been nine months
12:02since election day and you think about how much has happened so can you argue with that almost three
12:06and a half years left i mean it's a promise made promise kept and i think the administration
12:12learned a lot in the past administration of the authority of the president and he's not going to wait
12:18on congress he's going to do he's just going to pass and pass and one of the things that he's been able
12:22to do is to secure the border um it is relatively operational control at the border and part of the
12:29reason is because of all the people that joe biden uh led into the country and that brings me to our
12:34next person right here raul luna perez he's a mexican a legal immigrant of 2025 another dui this guy was
12:43brought into the country illegally and two americans are dead as a result of the inaction of the past
12:49administration not only somebody who shouldn't have been here but somebody who shouldn't been on the
12:52road clearly with the previous duis he not only killed two americans this was a mother and her 11
12:58year old daughter in new jersey and we grieve for their families and just a horrible another horrible
13:05instance instance of you know we've got to get things right in this country and this is what the
13:09election was about and of course it's not just it's largely because of the biden administration's
13:14open border policies but another part of it obviously donald trump has come in and fixed that
13:19but the other problem is that you still have democrats in these sanctuary cities who are pushing sanctuary
13:25city policies including allowing giving driver's licenses to people who are here illegally which is
13:32a real problem uh trisha mclaughlin the dhs assistant secretary of public affairs um had this to say
13:38about the sanctuary cities this is just so gut-wrenching and it is these sanctuary city policies
13:44that is the reason that an 11 year old girl and her mother are are not alive today and not with us
13:50today because when that domestic violence charge came when those two separate dui charges came what
13:56those sanctuary city policies did was not allow ice into those prisons to take to remove this illegal alien
14:02so then he was released back onto new jersey streets and commit this fatal crime i i still don't
14:08understand why why cities and states aren't honoring the detainers that ice is putting on these people
14:16that are clearly criminals oh yeah if you got someone with multiple duis domestic violence cases
14:21um they're clearly a risk to society you should keep them in custody all ice is saying look give us
14:2748 hours to come pick them up if we don't pick them up then you can release them but they don't
14:31want even honor that sandra yeah um just i'm just thinking about this mother and this um 11 year old
14:36daughter um just gone way too soon and they have an oath to the american people these law enforcement
14:44officers ice uh to carry out the mission and follow the law and they're not being allowed to do it and
14:49this person should have never been behind the wheel that's for sure yeah and and um the yeah the these
14:55policies continue and uh they are obviously flouting the will of the people and it's a it's a real
15:02problem and people's lives are are being lost uh later in the uh seven o'clock hour we have we will
15:07have paul perez national border patrol council president coming up and now i think we have
15:14somebody really carly somebody who belongs here hi carly good morning i feel like i belong and you
15:22guys belong as well morning how wonderful is that let's all hug and say kubaya all right no let's get
15:28to some more news shall we fighter jets intercepting a civilian aircraft yesterday after it entered
15:33restricted airspace over president trump's bedminster resort the aircraft was escorted out of the area by
15:39the north american aerospace defense command after using flares to draw the pilot's attention norad said
15:45it was the second interception of the day making a total of five unauthorized incursions over the
15:50weekend officials are now warning private pilots to do their homework before takeoff happening today
15:57agriculture department secretary brooke rollins hhs secretary rfk jr and fda commissioner dr marty
16:03mccary will be teaming up for a maha event in dc alongside the governors of iowa and west virginia
16:10meanwhile the great american farmers market opening yesterday at the national mall in washington dc
16:16it is set to run through friday with events including a special cooking demonstration
16:21from our very own rachel campos duffy who will be joined by secretary kennedy and secretary rollins
16:28and rachel is going to be joining us on the show tomorrow to talk about their efforts how great is
16:32that wild video shows the moment a 20-foot mink whale in shallow water nearly capsized a boat sending one
16:40passenger into that water while the passenger was able to get back onto the boat and is expected to be
16:46okay the whale unfortunately died after colliding with a boat along the barnegat bay in new jersey an
16:51autopsy is planned for later this morning to help determine the whale's exact cause of death the
16:58sister of liam neeson's late wife natasha richardson is reacting to his apparent budding romance with
17:05pamela anderson anderson posting this picture of herself and liam on instagram to promote their new
17:11movie together and richardson's sister gave her stamp of approval leaving the comment with multiple heart
17:17emojis liam and natasha were married for 15 years before the actress died from a skiing accident in 2009
17:24neeson and anderson are co-starring together in the movie naked gun the naked gun remake which is out in
17:30theaters now and those are your headlines guys i hope they're happy yeah i didn't expect them together but if they're happy and it works then why not
17:38why not the headlines on them it's been pure clickbait for me i keep reading they're loving this because
17:44this is going to get them more support uh for their latest project and we're responsible for it
17:50you think that's what i think they're in love yeah come on age appropriate they're both good looking
17:56older people why not i think i'm with you on that good looking older people
18:00all right that's one way to look at it thank you carly um by the way the sydney sweeney controversy
18:09can't get enough of this either i mean the jeans ad i mean it's all over the place you'll remember
18:17this ad of everybody talking i don't know accusing the company american eagle of being racist and all
18:23all of the above well president trump is reacting to reports now that she is a registered republican
18:31listen she's a registered republican oh now i love her ad is that right is sydney sweeney yeah
18:41you'd be surprised at how many people are republicans trump fashion look this doesn't even have to be a
18:47story you had two competitors going at it you had the american eagle with sweeney on the cover and
18:53beyonce who has taken over levi's as well and both of them are beautiful women and people were buying
19:01both of them they have turned this into some type of scandal it didn't have to be that way the woman
19:07wasn't even talking about her politics now we're going and looking at her voter history she was a private
19:13person i mean i just think it's a little bit ridiculous but i think it's great for american
19:17eagle because now their value is going to go up all because of the outrage now republicans are going
19:23to be buying american eagle and of course democrat politicians took the bait and decided of course
19:29and get and get all upset about it and vice president jd vance had some advice for them on it
19:36political advice to the good sunday morning and welcome to sunday morning futures i'm maria
19:40bartiromo thanks for joining us on what has become a defining moment in america's political history
19:46as president trump continues to rack up victories during his second term while simultaneously exposing
19:52the massive political machinery that attempted to take him down this weekend we're breaking down the
19:57stunning developments that have come to light a web of conspiracies cover-ups intelligence abuse and the
20:03deep state sabotage of a sitting president all of which are finally beginning to unravel in full public
20:09view president trump is celebrating a highly successful first six months in office while his
20:14political adversaries chiefly those aligned with hillary clinton and embedded within the politicized
20:19arms of the cia and fbi are being forced to confront damning evidence that they orchestrated a baseless
20:26and coordinated attack on his presidency white house deputy chief of staff stephen miller joins us to lay
20:31out exactly how the intelligence community in tandem with the clinton campaign tried to derail trump's
20:36presidency through what has now been conclusively identified as the russia collusion hoax new
20:41documents from the classified durham annex revealed that not only did hillary clinton sign off on the
20:45plan to smear trump during the 2016 election with fake ties to russia but the fbi also served as an
20:51accelerant to amplify those lies and bury the truth creating what miller describes as a premeditated and
20:57criminal conspiracy the strategy as exposed in emails supposedly sent from open society executive leonard bernardo
21:04in july 2016 shows that clinton campaign advisor julianne smith devised a plan to link trump to
21:11vladimir putin just two days later a follow-up email confirmed that clinton had approved the smear effort
21:17in order to shift focus away from her own scandals including the infamous email server housed in her
21:22basement and thousands of deleted messages these revelations were buried for years hidden away in fbi
21:28burn bags and classified documents until now cia director john ratcliffe who has been at the
21:34forefront of exposing this story has confirmed that intelligence agencies knew early on that the
21:39allegations were fabricated but pressed forward anyway durham's annex further assessed that the
21:44emails used as a basis for the investigation were likely real hacked by russian intelligence and
21:49authenticated by the fbi despite this mountain of evidence former intelligence officials like john brennan
21:55and james clapper have continued to deny wrongdoing even publishing op-eds in the new york times to
22:00disavow any claims of conspiracy but congressman devin nunes who led the house intelligence committee's
22:06investigation appeared on this show last week to confirm that brennan never informed congress that
22:11he had briefed obama on hillary's plan to fabricate trump russia collusion a glaring omission that proves
22:17intent and deception at the highest levels of government stephen miller was also a direct target of this
22:22abuse his emails were subpoenaed and he was personally investigated he didn't mince words the russia
22:27hoax he said was the single greatest assault on our democracy in the history of this country
22:33according to miller the orchestrated effort meets the legal standards for multiple felonies including
22:37seditious conspiracy insurrection and deprivation of civil rights under color of law and it doesn't stop
22:43there miller argued that since this conspiracy was knowingly planned and coordinated every participant
22:50brennan clapper comey clinton schiff and others is equally culpable he emphasized that this plot is
22:56not something in the past it continues today the conspiracy as ratcliffe also noted is ongoing it
23:01persisted throughout president trump's first term continued into the biden administration and is alive
23:06today as many within the intelligence community and democrat-controlled offices still still conceal
23:12evidence to shield themselves from accountability miller expressed confidence that the department of
23:17justice under new leadership will finally pursue justice he noted that unless there are criminal
23:22consequences future intelligence officials and political operatives will feel emboldened to
23:27fabricate new attacks on their adversaries using the tools of the state to manipulate democracy
23:32the damage inflicted miller stressed is beyond calculation it not only destroyed the lives of
23:37innocent individuals people like paul manafort general mike flynn and countless others who were rated
23:43jailed or publicly smeared but also diverted america's focus from real national security threats
23:48while the media and democrats obsessed over the fabricated trump russia narrative our nation became
23:53more vulnerable we became dangerously reliant on china for pharmaceuticals failed to prevent
23:57russia's aggression in ukraine and allowed adversaries like iran to advance their nuclear programs
24:03and what about the media's role in this miller and i both noted the glaring absence of coverage from
24:08mainstream outlets which served as willing tools in spreading the hoax the same press that vilified
24:13trump and anyone who dared to work for him is now silent as the truth comes to light they were
24:17complicit and they never apologized their silence is as damaging as the lies they helped to disseminate
24:23now as president trump prepares to take decisive action on the world stage including setting an august 8
24:29deadline for russia to end its war in ukraine the nation watches to see whether true accountability will
24:35finally be delivered he is also on track to complete one of the most aggressive trade realignment efforts
24:40in u.s history seeking to cut dependency on adversarial nations and build resilient american
24:46industries but none of that progress can continue without addressing the root rot that nearly brought
24:50down his presidency before it even began the stakes have never been higher and the call for justice has
24:55never been louder whether or not the department of justice acts decisively will determine not only the
25:01future of trump's presidency but also whether the american people can have faith in their institutions
25:06again as we expose more of the truth one thing is clear this was not just an attack on donald trump
25:12it was an attack on the american voter on democracy itself and the time for accountability has finally
25:18arrived thanks for joining us on what has become a pivotal moment in modern american political history
25:24one that is reshaping our understanding of the institutions that once claimed to protect democracy
25:29president trump now well into his second term is not only celebrating a wave of policy victories and
25:35trade accomplishments but is also navigating the fallout of what is now being widely described
25:40as one of the most coordinated political attacks on a sitting president in u.s history this weekend we
25:46are diving deep into revelations that are now emerging in full view evidence of orchestrated
25:50disinformation campaigns intelligence community overreach and deliberate suppression of truth for political
25:55gain at the heart of these developments is newly declassified information from the durham annex
26:00which details the origins of the trump russia collusion narrative a narrative that dominated political
26:05discourse for years but which is now thoroughly discredited according to explosive documents first
26:11buried within the intelligence community hillary clinton personally approved a plan during the 2016
26:15election to falsely tie donald trump to russian president vladimir putin in an effort to deflect from her
26:21own growing scandals including the now infamous private email server and the deletion of tens of
26:27thousands of messages the fbi instead of acting as a neutral enforcer of the law appeared to play an
26:33active role in legitimizing and spreading these unsubstantiated claims despite mounting evidence
26:38within their own ranks that the entire premise was politically manufactured joining me this morning
26:43is white house deputy chief of staff stephen miller who didn't hesitate to call this a
26:47deliberate and criminal conspiracy that sought to nullify a democratic election according to
26:52miller the entire apparatus from former cia director john brennan to fbi director james comey
26:58and including actors within the clinton campaign and obama era officials participated in a coordinated
27:04plot to delegitimize trump's presidency before it even began and now with the release of the durham annex
27:10which confirms the authenticity of certain emails and internal memos pointing to this operation
27:16questions arise not just about accountability but about the integrity of our justice system
27:20one of the emails in question reportedly sent by open society executive leonard bernardo in july 2016
27:27outlined how clinton campaign advisor julian smith crafted a smear strategy linking trump to russia
27:34only days later another email indicated clinton's direct approval of that plan
27:39these emails were considered credible enough for internal intelligence briefings
27:43yet were kept hidden from public view until now former director of national intelligence john
27:47ratcliffe has since confirmed that these reports were known to the cia and fbi at the time and yet
27:53neither informed congress nor took steps to stop what was increasingly being viewed internally as a
27:58political operation masquerading as counterintelligence miller himself a target of the russia hoax said
28:03that these actions met the legal threshold for multiple felonies including seditious conspiracy
28:08abuse of power and deprivation of civil rights under color of law he also emphasized that this wasn't
