00:00hi everyone i'm joe concha along with jerry willis molly line joey jones and welcome to the big
00:10weekend show the big story tonight cover-ups intimidations and obstructions these are the
00:17themes that define today's democratic party we start with the new revelations on the cover-up
00:22of biden's decline this week former biden senior aide mike donilon claimed ignorance of the mere
00:29existence of the auto pen and yet we discovered the biden team offered donilon uh get this eight
00:36million dollar incentive if biden won re-election which raises some questions how could someone
00:42this important in biden's orbit be unaware of the auto pen and did this financial incentive
00:48encourage him to cover up biden's declining mental state it's rhetorical question sunday everyone
00:54but just as disturbing is what we're learning the biden team is doing outside of congressional
00:59committees according to journalist mark halperin they're intimidating kamala harris to keep her
01:04mouth shut about what she witnessed listen if the biden people decide that kamala harris is coming
01:11after joe biden wait till you hear the palin-esque stories about how much they tried to help her
01:17be prepared to be vice president and be in a position to run and how much they decided not happening
01:24she's not up to this now the house still has a ways to go on their investigation six more biden aides
01:32are scheduled to testify through september at least plead the fifth former deputy chief of staff for
01:38policy bruce reed will be brought in for questioning on tuesday now joining us live from the big close-up
01:44is congresswoman anna paulina luna member of the house oversight committee congresswoman are we only
01:50scratching the surface on these cover-ups and and what do you think they're hiding ultimately
01:56most certainly i'd have to say that they're absolutely hiding the fact that biden did suffer
02:01from cognitive decline and if i could just share with everyone i actually remember having a
02:05conversation with a very prominent democrat on the house floor when i was pushing for that inherent
02:09contempt vote on garland for hiding the her tapes and what i can tell you is that democrat stated you
02:14know just as well as i know the state and the condition in which he's in we don't have to push the
02:18topic or make it any more of a bigger controversy than it is so the fact is that they all knew about
02:22it and i do believe that we're not going to get much on the oversight investigations because i think
02:26that every single one of them is going to plead the fifth wally congressman thanks for joining us
02:31on this uh sunday evening there is another potential scandal coming to light uh dni tulsi gabbard
02:36released testimony of a whistleblower in the intel community who describes being pressured to agree
02:42with obama's 2017 assessment and ignore violations to tradecraft standards a supervisor is claimed to
02:50have told the whistleblower quote isn't it possible putin has something on trump to blackmail him and
02:56coerce him and when the whistleblower pushed back that supervisor allegedly said quote i need you to say
03:02you agree with these judgments so that the defense intelligence agency will go along with them now
03:08congresswoman is the house oversight a committee looking into these allegations and does this
03:14suggest that the obama intel community intimidated officials to skirt their own rules in order to
03:21create a false narrative about trump and russia oh it doesn't just suggest it i would say that it's proof
03:28and it's not the first time that we've seen firsthand the obama administration whether it was the fbi or
03:33various members of the intelligence agency using their position in order to either protect
03:38people or punish people to get a certain um a certain rise or a certain goal and objective and
03:43what i will also follow up and say is that you know i'm tired of congress though just sending sending
03:48letters and making threats i think the american people many of us want to see people go to jail for
03:52this the fact is is that what the obama administration did what some of these officials did
03:57was grossly negligent and also responsible for the civil liberties of many americans to include
04:02now the sitting president of the united states president trump his civil liberties being violated so what i
04:07would say is that these people need to be held uh to account for what they did and they did indeed
04:11break the law congressman we're going to move on to your democrat colleagues and some of the antics
04:15they've pulled uh obstructing justice they've spent months disrupting ice operations they've done
04:20publicity stunts they've created a hostile and dangerous environment at these centers where they've
04:24gone and tried to get attention for themselves i guess now house democrats are suing the trump
04:29administration uh i guess they want more access to detention facilities congressional oversight that
04:36we not only must do as part of the constitution but in this particular case there's actually a
04:41specific law that allows us and to to do this oversight which they're just not allowing us to do so
04:48that's why we're going to court yeah sorry we had a sound bite there we wanted you to hear of course
04:53the trump administration is allowing congressional members to visit facilities that's so long as they
04:57schedule it in advance not not that hard uh what do you think is uh i mean i think this is just them
05:04trying to make it hard for ice to do their job trying to maybe raise some money and campaigning
05:08they're still trying to paint these violent criminals that are uh illegal immigrants as you know maryland dads
05:15you know it you you're absolutely correct first and foremost they know that they can request meetings
05:20that they can go to these facilities whenever they want they just don't like the fact that this
05:24administration is one of the most transparent in american history and they're trying to keep their
05:28voting their voting brace uh base activated for the midterms but the fact is is that the democrat
05:33party platform and their messaging is at all-time low i just want to point out the fact that a majority
05:38of border patrol officers are actually hispanic yet the democrats are using this narrative that ice
05:42and border patrol are somehow racist for enforcing the law and that's simply not the case
05:48all right congresswoman i want to change the topic yet again to turn to your effort to force a vote on
05:53banning congressional stock trading this fall one congresswoman who saw this may impact nancy pelosi
06:00and president trump is very interested in learning more about her financial activities listen
06:06i like it conceptually and you know nancy pelosi became rich by having inside information she made a
06:14fortune with her husband and i i think that's disgraceful what i do think is nancy pelosi should be
06:20investigated she knows exactly what's going to happen what's going to be announced you buy stock and
06:25then the stock goes up after the announcement's made and she ought to be investigated well now while
06:31pelosi says she supports the legislation the flip-flop from her earlier position her response to trump's
06:37comments might suggest she's worried about this listen nancy pelosi became rich why do you have to read
06:44that we're here to talk about the 60th anniversary of medicaid he accused you of insider trading what's
06:49your response to that that's ridiculous in fact i very much support the stop the the trading of
06:56members of congress not that i think anybody's doing anything wrong if they are the president has his own
07:01exposure so he's always projecting all right congresswoman are you going to investigate pelosi's stock
07:08trading activities over the years and are you confident you can get a stock trading ban passed
07:13i'll just mention 2022 everybody remembers paul pelosi bought a million dollars worth of nvidia
07:19options and made a ton of dough on them what do you say congresswoman i would i would say that she's
07:27probably not the only member of congress that needs to be investigated and that the insider trading
07:31that takes place in washington dc is happening on both sides so i would love to help investigate that
07:36but you know i'm super happy that president trump does support a banning on congressional stock
07:40trading because the fact is is that i've been getting a ton of pushback on this and the fact
07:44is the american people it's one of the biggest bipartisan i think over 80 percent of americans
07:48don't think that members of congress should be doing this and the fact is we're given access to very
07:53private information we're working with industry leaders we're going into security briefings so yes we
07:57are given the ability to basically impact the markets and people are making a lot of money it's not
08:02fair and it's not right so during the swamp we want to ban stock trading i think that i'll get the
08:06signatures and i think that that's why they're worried amen well congresswoman anna polina luna
08:11it's a sunday night it's a summer it's august we appreciate you taking the time to join us tonight thanks
08:15so much god bless god bless all right so let's stick on this whole stock trading thing with with
08:24congress for a moment joey okay so paul pelosi who's obviously the husband of nancy pelosi
08:30he is gordon gecko meets nostradamus like this guy somehow gets it right with almost every purchase
08:36that he has to the point where there's an app that will tell you what paul pelosi is buying and more
08:43than 100 000 americans are members of this app that automatically says okay we're going to buy the stock
08:49that paul is because wow it's going to give you a return investment we saw with the army for example
08:55microsoft they are awarded a multi multi-million dollar contract from the government when nancy
09:00pelosi was speaker uh to basically engineer night vision goggles and then right before that contract
09:07comes out lo and behold paul pelosi buys 11 million dollars microsoft amazing they made a boatload of
09:13money anna polina luna mentioned as well as far as nvidia it seems like a no-brainer i'm surprised
09:19this legislation hasn't been passed already because clearly yeah members of congress have
09:23access to inside information there's an x account i can't remember the name of it please forgive me
09:27i think it's something whale and it talks about this and they put a report out if not weekly monthly
09:32showing how every member of congress did in the stock market compared to pretty much anyone else
09:38compared to other you know iras or whatever it is that that also trades for people and they always
09:43outperform by a lot or at least they rank them so the ones at the top outperform and those are the ones
09:48that are up there a lot i'll tell you this affected my life specifically because when david
09:53purdue and kelly loffler lost their seats in the senate in georgia in georgia part of the story was
10:00they were both under i don't remember if it was investigation or just being looked at very hard
10:04very harshly because they made so much money off the start market stock market during covet so like
10:09i don't have republican senators in georgia now partially because they were too busy trading stocks
10:14and getting richer instead of going around knocking on doors now kelly loffler campaigned
10:18hard but when you make millions of dollars while everyone else is losing their business and you
10:23do it in the stock market while you're in the senate you're going to be under a microscope and whether
10:27you did anything right or wrong have some conventional wisdom about you another republican is dan crenshaw
10:32that gets looked at i have no idea if he's ever done anything wrong but anna paulina luna said this
10:37this happens on both sides and these are people that voters look at and say wait just a minute
10:42why are you doing so well while we're not and you're supposed to be helping us out i'm feeling
10:45you gotta let me in on this but this is where i live right yes so i mentioned the nvidia trade right
10:52we were talking about that with a congresswoman so uh they made seven million on that uh an incredible
10:59gain on that this is not right and it's one of those things that just fires up americans like you get
11:06to make this kind of money pelosi is beyond wealthy it has to do with everything with her worth 160
11:12million dollars per term in washington dc so i think people out there like there are rules on wall street
11:19that you're supposed to follow when you're investing in stocks where are the rules for washington i don't
11:24see them now nancy pelosi molly her excuse is that my husband was invested was doing all these investments
11:30i had nothing to do with it actually you probably benefit being the wife of the guy making all the
11:35money so do you think ultimately this passes you know i really don't know because it takes political
11:40will and there's a and we've seen this for many many years for decades and decades talk about this
11:45about changing the rules so that congress can't take advantage as anna paulina luna was talking about
11:49going into these hearings where they get this information and then they're able to theoretically
11:54literally alter where the stock market goes in any given day uh and and she thinks that the political
12:00will may be there now so we'll see if that actually comes to pass which is the big question will they
12:04actually get something passed uh i think it's going to be very very challenging i would think this would
12:10be like you know a 99 to 1 kind of like vote in the senate kind of thing because it just seems like a
12:15no-brainer but when there's money involved joey but one more point that we talked about with
12:19anna paulina luna the congresswoman as far as like the auto pen and mike donilon right a chief
12:24of staff claims that he didn't know about the auto pen are you buying this well i don't know because
12:31i don't know i don't know how his white house was set up and that's been one of the biggest things
12:35we've asked about i mean i could i could see a world where somebody in charge of getting him
12:39re-elected campaign and that kind of thing doesn't necessarily know what's happening with policy
12:43because apparently president biden didn't know what was happening with policy so i don't know who was
12:47there to communicate to the other players of the team the other thing about the auto pen that we
12:51have to understand is that the constitution doesn't mandate things like um uh pardons to be signed and
12:59pinned yeah so we have to understand that there are things that look wrong and seem wrong but are they
13:05wrong and are they worth investigating in a sense of i don't want voters to get investigation fatigue and
13:10then we lose the midterms because republicans settle or are focused in on that so it's not to say it
13:16shouldn't happen it's not say people shouldn't be held accountable i personally think president
13:20biden has done worse things than the auto pen that's my that's my belief look forward instead
13:24of into the past is the joey jones argument i mean there's a lot of corruption allegation there that i
13:29think we never scratched the surface on and um i know his policy decisions were bad so whether he meant
13:34to sign them or not yeah and and most of the aides we're going to see this week again we'll probably plead
13:38the fifth we won't get any answers thanks guys great segment coming up on this jam-packed big weekend
13:44show democrats are becoming more radical if that's possible and young voters are fueling the
13:49socialist fire but first texas democrats are melting down over a redistricting effort by republicans as

17:25june ouch president trump didn't waste a second announcing mcinterer's firing and promising someone
17:32more competent and qualified critics including trump's national economic council director kevin hasett
