00:16to his wife, Tammy Menendez, wrote in an Instagram story August 3rd, preparing for our upcoming
00:22parole hearing. And Talia's update comes over a week after she first shared her father was
00:27undergoing several surgeries to address his kidney stones issue. In a July 23rd story,
00:32she writes,
00:33Today Eric had his second surgery due to complications with both kidneys having multiple large stones.
00:39Thankfully, his surgery was successful, though he will need a third surgery soon.
00:44And Eric's trip to the hospital comes after his lawyer, Mark Garagos, argued for his immediate
00:49release from prison amid his serious medical condition. Mark told TMZ in a July 22nd interview,
00:55I'm not going to violate HIPAA or attorney client or anything else, but if there was ever anybody
01:00who should be furloughed, especially right now, a month before the hearing, it's Eric. He needs,
01:05I think, to be out and focus on the hearing.
