00:00The words of our Lord Jesus Christ were not speculative.
00:04They were not poetic guesses or religious exaggerations.
00:07They were divine truth, eternal, precise, and unfolding exactly as he said they would.
00:15In Matthew 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13, Jesus gave his disciples, and all of us, a prophetic road map.
00:25And today, as we open our eyes to the condition of the world, we must acknowledge with trembling clarity, what Jesus said would happen is happening now.
00:37We are not waiting for signs, they are all around us, wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes in diverse places, famines, pestilences, deception, lawlessness, and a love that grows cold.
00:51The headlines are not random, they are reminders that Jesus is not just our Savior, he is the sovereign Lord of history, but this moment is not about fear, it's about faithfulness.
01:05Jesus told us these things not to create panic, but to produce perseverance, holiness, and hope.
01:12The church is not to be shocked by chaos, but strengthened in truth.
01:16The world is trembling, the nations are shaking, and false teachers are multiplying, but the elect must stand firm.
01:23The question is not if Jesus was right, it's whether we are ready.
01:271. Jesus warned of global turmoil, and it has arrived Matthew 24.
01:336-7, when Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives, just days before his crucifixion, he gave a discourse unlike any other.
01:41It was not an allegory, it was not a motivational speech, it was prophecy, raw, precise, and unnervingly clear.
01:51You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, nation will rise against nation.
01:56He didn't say this might happen, he said it would.
01:59Now think about the world you live in.
02:03Turn on any news outlet.
02:05Headlines are flooded with geopolitical unrest.
02:08Conflicts in the Middle East, nuclear threats from rogue regimes, coups in Africa, civil unrest in western cities.
02:18People are on edge.
02:21Economies are crumbling.
02:23Trust in institutions has eroded.
02:25A woman in our church, recently returned from Eastern Europe,
02:30wept as she described towns reduced to rubble, churches burned, and believers scattered.
02:36I never imagined living to see this, she whispered, but friends, Jesus did, he foretold it, and he told us not to be alarmed, that's key, see that you are not troubled.
02:47He said Matthew 24, 6, why?
02:50Because the turmoil is not outside of his control, it is part of the divine calendar, birth pains, signs, not of death, but of coming deliverance.
03:01We don't interpret scripture by the news, we interpret the news by scripture.
03:05And the more chaotic the headlines become, the more clearly we see, Christ's words are trustworthy, his sovereignty is unshaken, so how should we respond, not by retreating in fear, but by standing in faith?
03:24While the world panics, the church should preach, when others lose hope, we lift our eyes, for our redemption is near.
03:34Minus 2, moral decay and lawlessness are abounding, Matthew 24.
03:4012, Jesus declared in Matthew 24, 12, because lawlessness will increase, the love of many will grow cold.
03:49That wasn't merely a social warning, it was a spiritual diagnosis, a mark of the end times, a snapshot of the world right before his return.
04:01Let me take you to Los Angeles, where just last month, a young woman stood on a busy street, crying softly while holding a sign that read,
04:12I used to believe in good.
04:15She had been robbed, her home vandalized.
04:18Her trust shattered, a pastor nearby prayed with her, and she said, people are darker now than ever, no one cares, my heart broke, not only for her pain, but for the prophecy it confirmed, the love of many is growing cold.
04:33This moral erosion isn't subtle anymore, it's paraded, celebrated, what was once shameful is now called freedom.
04:41From schools teaching confusion to law makers legalizing what God condemns, the boundaries God set are being mocked.
04:50This is not merely society changing, it is lawlessness abounding, and as it rises, love dies.
04:58Even within the church, apathy has crept in, believers grow numb, compassion is scarce, offense is quick, forgiveness is rare, and yet, Jesus told us this would happen.
05:12He warned us not to become victims of it.
05:15The true church must remain warm in love and steadfast in truth.
05:19We must not adopt the coldness of culture.
05:22We must burn brighter in holiness and grace.
05:26Lawlessness will not win.
05:28Christ is coming to judge the living and the dead.
05:31But until that day, we are called to be lights in the darkness, not silent, not shaken, not cynical, but steadfast, rooted, holy.
05:41Don't let the coldness of the age freeze your zeal.
05:44Stay close to Christ, stay deep in scripture, and remember, what Jesus said would happen is happening now.
05:533.
05:54The rise of false prophets and deceivers, Matthew 24, 11.
05:5924.
06:00Jesus didn't stutter when he said,
06:02Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many, Matthew 24, 11.
06:08And in verse 24, he added,
06:11They will show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
06:17These aren't minor figures with odd ideas.
06:20These are dangerous leaders with persuasive platforms.
06:24And they are here.
06:26Some years ago, I met a woman who had been swept into a Christian healing network
06:32that promised miracles in exchange for donations.
06:36She was widowed, vulnerable, and hungry for hope.
06:41But what she received was manipulation cloaked in spiritual jargon.
06:45When it all collapsed, she told me,
06:48I thought I was following Jesus, but I was following a brand.
06:53That's the essence of deception.
06:55It wears a cross, but denies Christ.
06:58It quotes scripture, but twists it.
07:01It uses the name of Jesus, but resists his lordship.
07:05These modern false prophets promise prosperity, self-love, and emotional highs.
07:11But not repentance, not the cross, not the gospel.
07:15And Jesus said they'd come.
07:17Not a few, many.
07:19Look at our age.
07:20Social media is filled with voices claiming divine authority.
07:24Pastors who no longer preach sin or hell.
07:28Teachers who speak endlessly of grace, but never of holiness.
07:31Prophets who speak of visions, but never open the word.
07:36It's not harmless.
07:38It's damning.
07:39Now more than ever, discernment is essential.
07:43We test every message by scripture, not by charisma, emotion, or popularity.
07:49The elect cannot be deceived permanently, but we must be vigilant continually.
07:56Why did Jesus warn us?
07:59Because he loves us.
08:00Because he wants a pure bride.
08:03Because deception is the devil's oldest trick, and many are falling for it.
08:09But those who remain in the truth, those who know their shepherd's voice, will not follow strangers.
08:17Stay grounded, stay alert, and cling to what is written, for the deceiver is at work.
08:24But so is the defender of our souls.
08:28Minus four.
08:29The gospel is still going forth.
08:31Just as Jesus said Matthew 24, 14, in the middle of all the warnings, Jesus gave one radiant promise in Matthew 24, 14.
08:42This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
08:49Amid chaos, falsehood, and darkness, there's still light.
08:55There's still gospel.
08:57There's still mission.
08:58Years ago, I met a missionary in Southeast Asia who had spent 12 years reaching a remote mountain tribe.
09:08No written language, no Bible translation, no roads, just faith, sweat, and the truth.
09:15He wept as he told me how the first believer in that tribe came to Christ.
09:19I thought I was late.
09:21He said, but the gospel is always right on time.
09:24What Jesus said would happen is happening.
09:27Despite opposition, censorship, persecution, and mockery, the gospel is going forth.
09:36From underground churches in China to tech, savvy preachers in Africa.
09:43From street evangelists in Europe to quiet Bible distributors in Muslim lands.
09:49The kingdom is advancing, not through politics or power, but through proclamation.
09:54You see, Jesus is not coming back to a world that never heard.
09:59He's coming to a world that has.
10:01The gospel is reaching every tongue, tribe, and people.
10:04And then, he said, the end will come.
10:06The media won't report it, the world won't celebrate it, but heaven rejoices every time a sinner repents.
10:15Every soul added is a testimony, the king is coming, and he's giving people everywhere a chance to respond.
10:22You and I are part of that mission, not spectators, but soldiers of light.
10:29The world may burn with confusion, but we burn with the truth.
10:33Don't be silent.
10:35Don't be discouraged.
10:36The gospel is our weapon.
10:38And our Lord is faithful, so we preach, we teach, we testify, not because times are easy, but because time is short, and what Jesus said is unfolding right before our eyes.
10:525.
10:52The urgency of spiritual readiness.
10:55The bridegroom is near Matthew 25.
10:591-13 Jesus ended his prophetic discourse with a parable.
11:04The ten virgins.
11:05It's not just a sweet story.
11:08It's a warning wrapped in love.
11:115 were wise.
11:125 were foolish.
11:14All had lamps.
11:15All were waiting.
11:16But only half were ready when the bridegroom arrived.
11:19And the door, it was shut.
11:21This parable speaks with aching clarity to our generation.
11:26Everyone thinks they're ready.
11:27Everyone says they're waiting.
11:29But not everyone is prepared.
11:31Some years ago, I sat with a man on his hospital bed.
11:34He's heart failing, lungs weak.
11:37He'd gone to church for decades.
11:39Sang in the choir.
11:40Knew the verses.
11:41But when I asked, are you ready to meet Christ?
11:44He paused.
11:45Then tears filled his eyes.
11:47I'm not sure.
11:48He said, that man, by God's mercy, repented and truly believed just days before he passed.
11:54But many don't get that chance.
11:57Jesus told us the bridegroom is coming suddenly at midnight, when the world least expects it.
12:03And when he does, there won't be time to borrow oil.
12:07You can't borrow faith.
12:08You can't borrow repentance.
12:11You can't borrow devotion.
12:13Either you have it, or you don't.
12:16And the door, it shuts.
12:18That's the part that chills the soul.
12:20Lord, Lord, open to us.
12:23They cry.
12:24But he answers, truly I say to you, I do not know you.
12:28Not because he's cruel, but because they were never truly his.
12:34They had the lamp of religion, but not the oil of salvation.
12:39Beloved, spiritual procrastination is eternally dangerous.
12:44Some think, I'll get serious later.
12:47I'll repent when I'm older.
12:49I'll follow Christ after I've had some fun.
12:53But Jesus never said, be ready later.
12:56He said, be ready now.
12:59Today is the day of salvation.
13:02Not tomorrow.
13:03Not when the signs are clearer.
13:06Not when you've seen an angel or heard a trumpet.
13:09Now.
13:11The rapture is not a myth.
13:13It's not fiction.
13:14It's God's promise.
13:15And the signs are screaming.
13:17He is near.
13:18Don't just watch the news.
13:19Watch your soul.
13:20Don't just read prophecy.
13:22Read your heart.
13:23Are you filled with oil?
13:24Are you ready?
13:25Because the bridegroom comes at midnight, and only the ready will enter.
