00:00beloved scripture is clear it is appointed for man to die once and after that comes judgment hebrews nine twenty seven one day every soul will stand before the throne of christ
00:14on that day there will be no jury no appeal no manipulation of evidence only the all-seeing eyes of the judge who knows every thought word and deed
00:27the courtroom of heaven will be silent except for his voice and he will ask questions not to discover the truth for he already knows it but to declare the truth publicly before all creation
00:41these will not be questions about your bank account your career or your popularity they will cut to the very core of your relationship with him
00:51three questions will determine your eternal destiny what did you do with me what did you do with my word what did you do with my people on that day there will be no middle ground the sheep will be separated from the goats the wheat from the tares the faithful from the false
01:09and the answers will not merely reveal what you believed they will reveal who you truly were one the absolute authority of christ as judge on judgment day the central reality is this jesus christ is the judge of every human soul scripture leaves no doubt
01:27acts 17 31 declares that god has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed and that man is christ jesus this is not the gentle carpenter from galilee standing before you to be mocked or rejected
01:45this is the risen glorified lord the one before whom john fell as though dead in revelation 1 17
01:54his eyes are like flames of fire his voice like the roar of many waters and from his mouth comes the sharp sword of divine judgment the authority of christ is not up for debate
02:06it is not granted by human opinion polls or religious traditions it is inherent in his deity
02:14all judgment has been entrusted to him by the father john 5 22 and he will render verdicts in perfect holiness
02:23impartiality and justice on that day there will be no bribes no political influence and no manipulation of facts
02:32every hidden sin will be brought into the light every secret motive will be exposed
02:38we live in a culture that treats jesus as a life coach a moral example or even a spiritual mascot
02:46but on that day none will approach him casually philippians 2 10 says every knee will bow whether willingly in worship or unwillingly in defeat
02:58and every tongue will confess that he is lord the reality of christ as judge should shatter the illusion of self
03:05righteousness people assume that judgment will be a negotiation
03:10as though they can present good deeds to outweigh their failures
03:14but the standard is not comparison to other sinners
03:17it is perfect conformity to god's holiness
03:21in that light all have sinned and fall short of the glory of god
03:26romans 3 23
03:28when you understand the absolute authority of christ as judge
03:33you realize there will be no casual conversation at his throne
03:37there will be no opportunity to argue
03:40there will be no second opinion
03:43every verdict he renders will be final
03:46and every sentence will be eternally binding
03:49the question is not whether you believe in judgment
03:53the question is whether you have bowed to the judge now
03:57in repentance and faith
03:59before that day comes
04:01two
04:01the first question
04:03what did you do with me
04:04the first and most decisive question christ will ask is this
04:09what did you do with me
04:11this is the ultimate dividing line of humanity
04:15your eternal destiny is not determined by your religious background
04:19your moral achievements
04:21or your charitable acts
04:23but by your personal response to the lord jesus christ
04:28jesus said in john 14
04:316
04:32i am the way and the truth and the life
04:35no one comes to the father except through me
04:39on judgment day
04:41the central issue will not be
04:43were you spiritual
04:44or did you believe in god in some vague sense
04:48but did you repent of your sin
04:51and trust fully in me as lord and savior
04:54the gospel confronts the pride of the human heart
04:58many admire jesus as a great teacher or moral reformer
05:03but admiration is not salvation
05:06the demons acknowledge who he is james 2
05:0919
05:10but they are not redeemed
05:12to be saved
05:13you must receive him john 1
05:1512
05:16love him
05:17follow him
05:18and obey him
05:19anything less is rejection
05:21on that day
05:22excuses will collapse
05:23some will say i was too busy
05:25others will claim i had unanswered questions
05:29still others will insist i thought i was good enough
05:32but jesus warned in matthew 7
05:3523
05:36that to those without true faith
05:38he will say
05:39i never knew you
05:41depart from me
05:42you workers of lawlessness
05:43this question will pierce the heart
05:46because it will reveal not only what you professed about jesus
05:51but what you truly believed
05:53did you cling to him in faith when temptation struck
05:56did you honor him in your decisions
05:58did you treasure him more than money
06:00comfort or applause
06:02what you do with christ in this life
06:04determines what he will do with you in the next
06:06if you confess him before men
06:09he will confess you before his father matthew 10
06:12but if you deny him
06:14whether by words silence or a life lived for self
06:18he will deny you
06:20on that day
06:21the most urgent question will not be whether you called yourself a christian
06:25but whether christ truly knew you
06:28three
06:29the second question
06:30what did you do with my word
06:32the second question will be this
06:35what did you do with my word
06:37god's word is not a collection of human opinions
06:41cultural proverbs
06:43or inspirational sayings
06:45it is the very breath of god
06:482 timothy 3 16
06:50every command promise and warning in scripture
06:54carries divine authority
06:56how you responded to his word
06:59reveals whether you truly submitted to his lordship
07:02some approach the bible selectively
07:05embracing verses that affirm their desires
07:08while ignoring those that confront their sin
07:11others treat it academically
07:13analyzing its content without submitting to its demands
07:17still others twist it to justify lifestyles god calls abomination
07:23but the judge knows whether you trembled at his word
07:26isaiah 66
07:28to or resisted it
07:30jesus himself warned in john 12
07:3348
07:34the one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge
07:40the word that i have spoken will judge him on the last day
07:44on judgment day
07:46the very scriptures you heard read or dismissed will stand as evidence for or against you
07:53the truth is
07:54how you treat god's word is how you treat god himself
07:58to love christ is to love his commands john 14 15
08:03to reject his word is to reject his authority
08:06if the bible was closed on your shelf but never opened in your life
08:11that will be revealed
08:12if you knew its truth but lived in hypocrisy
08:16that will be exposed
08:17this question will strip away superficial faith
08:21did you believe the bible enough to obey it
08:24did you allow it to convict correct and conform you to christ
08:29or did you explain it a way to protect your sin
08:32god's word is eternal psalm 119
08:3789
08:38cultures change trends fade
08:41but scripture will outlast heaven and earth
08:44matthew 24 35
08:46on that day
08:48your handling of his word will testify to your heart's condition
08:52those who delighted in it will shine like stars
08:56those who despised it will be left in eternal darkness
09:00for the third question
09:03what did you do with my people
09:06the third question will strike at the evidence of genuine salvation
09:11what did you do with my people
09:14jesus identifies himself so closely with his followers
09:19that to love them is to love him
09:21and to reject them is to reject him
09:24in matthew 25 40 he says
09:28as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers
09:32you did it to me
09:33your treatment of christ's people
09:36reveals whether you have truly been transformed by his grace
09:39genuine believers will love the brethren one john 3 14
09:44they will forgive serve and bear one another's burdens
09:48not perfectly but sincerely
09:50on judgment day this question will separate the sheep from the goats
09:55the sheep will be commended for feeding the hungry
09:58clothing the naked visiting the sick and imprisoned
10:02not to earn salvation but because salvation had already changed their hearts
10:07the goats though religious will be condemned for neglecting or mistreating christ's people
10:12proving their hearts were never his
10:14this question exposes counterfeit faith
10:17many profess christ but gossip slander or abuse fellow believers
10:22some harbor bitterness or division in the church
10:25others are indifferent to the needs of the saints
10:28such behavior betrays a heart untouched by grace
10:32jesus does not overlook how his people are treated
10:35saul learned this on the road to damascus when christ confronted him
10:40why are you persecuting me acts 9 4
10:44to harm a believer is to assault christ himself
10:47on that day your love or lack thereof
10:50for the body of christ will testify to your spiritual reality
10:55it will reveal whether you merely claim to follow jesus or truly shared his heart
10:595 the finality of the verdict the last keynote is sobering
11:04the verdict of christ on judgment day will be final
11:07there will be no appeals no retrials no further opportunities to repent
11:12revelation 20 12 describes the dead standing before the throne
11:17and the books of being opened books recording every thought word and action
11:22this is not a symbolic warning it is a certain appointment
11:26when christ renders his judgment eternity begins immediately
11:31for the redeemed that means entering the joy of their master
11:36for the unrepentant it means eternal separation from god
11:41in the lake of fire revelation 20 15
11:45the world is filled with temporary verdicts
11:49courts can overturn decisions leaders can pardon criminals
11:53sentences can be reduced
11:55but in the court of christ the sentence will never be altered
11:59hell will have no exit doors and heaven will have no risk of loss
12:04this finality should stir both urgency and hope
12:08urgency because now is the only time to repent and believe 2 corinthians 6 2
12:15hope because those who trust in christ can face that day without fear
12:21knowing their sin was already judged at the cross
12:25on that day the truth will be revealed justice will be served and eternity will
12:30be sealed the time to prepare is now closing call to repentance friend you
12:35will face these three questions you cannot avoid them you cannot delay them
12:40you cannot talk your way around them what have you done with christ have you
12:45received him as lord and savior what have you done with his word have you
12:49obeyed it or ignored it what have you done with his people have you loved them or
12:54despised them if you do not have answers that are rooted in repentance and faith
12:58then today is the day of salvation fall on your knees before the judge while he
13:03still offers you mercy confess your sin trust in his death and
13:08resurrection surrender your life fully to him
13:11because on judgment day mercy will be passed the verdict will be spoken and
