00:00You get the sense that as we've been hearing across this last couple of days that this
00:07was a moment of reset after the election that we just saw where the Prime Minister and the
00:14government had that overwhelming win where there is that incredible majority in the Parliament.
00:20Well, the Prime Minister seemed to be clearly wanting to draw a line in the sand, making
00:25the point very early on, Lorna, that there was almost all of Cabinet. I think he said
00:30words to the effect of, I could have a Cabinet meeting right here. There were so many members
00:34of the Cabinet sitting there in the front row listening in. The Prime Minister using that
00:40to say, well, look, this is actually about sending a clear message about the priority of the government
00:46because there are many who have been saying to me that that is just not the case of what
00:51they've been seeing in recent years, particularly since the referendum outcome of 2023. The
00:56substantive component of that speech, though, Lorna, was this real focus on an economic alliance
01:03working in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander groups and people. And also
01:08that $100 million announcement, about three quarters, $75 million or so, is tethered to the
01:14native title and really tweaks and reforms that the Prime Minister touched on to make that system
01:20work better, but also a not insubstantive amount of money for TAFE, for training and education,
01:27for ways to be able to connect people into the systems and structures, particularly if they've
01:32been left behind.
