00:00My beloved children in Christ, I want to speak to you about something that keeps many of you
00:11awake at night, the fear that grips your heart when you think about what lies ahead,
00:18the fear of dying alone, the fear that your prayers aren't being heard, the fear that your
00:24children and grandchildren will abandon the faith you've tried so hard to pass on to them,
00:29the fear that you've made too many mistakes in life and it's too late for God's mercy,
00:34the fear of being forgotten, of becoming a burden of facing judgment unprepared.
00:38These fears are real. They whisper to you in the quiet hours of the morning when sleep won't come.
00:44They follow you to doctor's appointments and funeral masses. They make you wonder if God still cares
00:50about someone as broken and worn as you feel. But today, I want to give you a weapon against
00:58these fears. A simple prayer that has protected and comforted millions of souls just like you.
01:04It is a prayer so powerful that demons flee from it, yet so gentle that the most broken heart can
01:10whisper it with confidence. Let me begin with a story that touched my heart deeply. Last month,
01:16I received a letter from an eight five-year-old grandmother in Ireland named Margaret. She wrote,
01:22Your Holiness. I have prayed the three Hail Marys every morning for 30 years. When my husband was
01:28dying of cancer, I placed his suffering in Mary's hands during those daily pauses. When my grandson was
01:37addicted to drugs, I mentioned his name in those sacred moments. Last week, that same grandson,
01:45now sober for five years, knelt beside me and asked me to teach him the same prayer,
01:51Mary never abandoned us. Today, I wish to share with you this same devotion that sustained Margaret
01:59through decades of joy and sorrow. A simple yet profound practice that can transform your daily
02:05spiritual life. It is the devotion of the three Hail Marys, honoring our Blessed Mother under her three
02:12most beautiful attributes, her power, her wisdom, and her mercy. In our modern world filled with noise
02:18and complexity, we often search for ways to find peace and draw closer to God. Sometimes the most
02:25powerful prayers are the simplest ones. This devotion, which takes only a few minutes each day, opens the
02:32door to graces that can sustain us through all the joys and trials of life. Let us begin with the first
02:39prayer in honor of Our Lady's power. When we approach Mary in this way, we acknowledge that she is not
02:45merely a historical figure, but the Immaculate Virgin Most Powerful, who continues to watch over us with
02:52motherly protection. O Immaculate Mary Virgin Most Powerful, I come before you with great confidence in
02:59your motherly protection. These words should flow from our hearts with complete trust. Mary's power
03:06is not the power of this world. It is the divine strength she received from the Eternal Father, the
03:13same power that made her the terror of demons and the safe refuge for all sinners. My dear friends,
03:19especially you who have lived many years and faced many trials, you understand what it means to need
03:26protection. Your bodies may not be as strong as they once were. Your minds may sometimes feel weary,
03:32but when you place yourself under Mary's powerful protection, you are placing yourself under a strength
03:39that never fails. Through Mary's power, we can obtain purity of heart and mind. In a world that constantly
03:46assaults our senses with impure images and thoughts, Mary's power cleanses us, restores us, makes us worthy
03:55temples of the Holy Spirit. Through her power, we receive fortitude and temptation. Those moments when we
04:02feel weak, when we are tempted to despair, to anger, to lose hope. Mary's power sustains us. And most
04:11importantly, through Mary's power, we receive grace to overcome all the snares of the evil one. The devil is
04:20real, my friends. He prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. But Mary crushes the
04:28serpent's head. Under her protection, we are safe. When you pray this first, Hail Mary, pause after asking
04:34for Mary's intercession. In that sacred pause, place your special intention in her maternal hands.
04:42I think of Antonio, a seven-eight-year-old man from Italy, who wrote to me, Holy Father, every morning
04:50for two years, I place my estranged son's name in that pause. I had not spoken to him in 15 years after
04:58a bitter argument. Last Christmas, he appeared at my door with tears in his eyes, saying he could not
05:05explain why. But he felt compelled to come home. Mary's power had worked silently in his heart all
05:11that time. Perhaps your intention is concern for a grandchild who has lost their way. Perhaps it is
05:17worry about your health or the health of your spouse. Perhaps it is simply the desire for a peaceful
05:22death. Whatever weighs upon your heart, place it trustingly in Mary's hands, just as Antonio did.
05:29Dearest Mother, do not forsake me, though I am poor and unworthy. Despise not my prayer. These words
05:37should never be forgotten. We may feel unworthy, and indeed we are unworthy, but Mary's love is not based
05:45on our worthiness. It is based on her perfect maternal heart that cannot refuse a child who comes to her in
05:53need. Then we honor her power by praying the familiar words. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with
06:00thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God,
06:08pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. The second Hail Mary honors our Lady's
06:14wisdom. O Virgin Mary, my mother and teacher, through that ineffable wisdom granted to you by your divine
06:21Son, the eternal Word. I humbly seek your guidance and counsel. Mary is the seed of wisdom. She pondered
06:29all things in her heart. She understood mysteries that the greatest theologians struggled to comprehend.
06:36When the angel Gabriel announced God's plan, she did not understand everything, but she trusted
06:42completely. This is true wisdom, not necessarily understanding all things, but trusting in God's
06:49perfect plan. As we grow older, we realize how little we truly know. The young think they have all the
06:55answers, but experience teaches us humility. This is precisely when Mary's wisdom becomes most precious
07:03to us. We need enlightenment for our minds, strength for our hearts. We need a spirit of meekness
07:12and humility, a deep understanding of God's holy will, a sincere desire to do what is pleasing to God.
07:21How often do we find ourselves confused by the rapid changes in our world? Values we held sacred
07:27are now questioned or mocked. Technologies we never imagine now dominate daily life. Sometimes we feel lost
07:36in a foreign land. But Mary's wisdom is timeless. It does not grow old or become outdated. O Mary,
07:44seed of wisdom, lead me away from the confusion of the world. Help me to hear the gentle whisper
07:50of God's voice in silence in our noisy world. Mary teaches us the value of silence, of contemplation,
07:59of listening for God's voice in the quiet moments of our hearts. She teaches us to discern rightly,
08:04to choose the good, and to walk always in the truth. This is the wisdom we need most. Not the wisdom of
08:12scholars or philosophers, but the wisdom that helps us live as true children of God, making choices that
08:19lead us and our loved ones toward eternal life. Again, pause in this prayer and mention your intention.
08:27I remember Sister Catherine, a nine two-year-old nun who had served in our missions for 70 years.
08:33She told me,
08:35Holy Father, when I was 65, I thought my useful life was over. I felt forgotten and useless. But in my
08:44second Hail Mary each day, I asked Mary for wisdom to see God's plan for my remaining years.
08:51She showed me that my greatest mission was yet to come, to pray for vocations and counsel young
08:58sisters. At 92, I am busier and more fulfilled than ever. You might need wisdom in dealing with a
09:05difficult family situation. Maybe you need guidance in making important decisions about your health
09:10or living situation. Some of you may simply need the wisdom to accept what cannot be changed and find
09:18peace in God's will, as Sister Catherine learned to do. Then we pray with love and devotion. Hail Mary,
09:26full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women. And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
09:32Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
09:40The third Hail Mary may be the most precious of all, for it honors our Lady's mercy.
09:46O Mother of mercy, refuge of sinners, with a heart contrite and humble, I place myself under your gentle
09:54mantle. My dear children, we have all lived long enough to know our own failures, our own sins,
10:01our own need for mercy. The young often think they have time to fix everything, to make amends for all
10:07their mistakes. But we, who have more years behind us than ahead of us, know that some wounds may never
10:14heal in this life. Some relationships may never be restored. Some failures will accompany us to the
10:22grave. This is where Mary's mercy becomes our greatest comfort, through that overflowing mercy
10:27which the Holy Spirit poured into your Immaculate Heart. Mary obtains for us what we could never deserve
10:33on our own merits. We ask for the grace of true and lasting sorrow for my sins. Not the sorrow of
10:40despair, but the sorrow that leads to conversion, to amendment of life, to peace with God. We ask for
10:48a burning love for Christ crucified, because at the foot of the cross we understand both the depth of
10:55our sin and the infinity of God's love. We ask for the strength to confess and amend my life. For those
11:01of you who have been away from the sacrament of confession for months, or even years, Mary's mercy
11:07calls you back. It is never too late to return to the Father's house. The prodigal son was welcomed
11:13to the Lord, even before. Our service of God must be saved. Could you open your life down upon R
11:23or another as with wisdom and never do another way to cemetery? It has been, by the time I
11:29was infamous, I was born to have continuity to the Savior God that smells so good for him. A lot
11:32of sanctification I thought the Father's memory can't deliver that out of by the saving time as he
11:34will enable him to restore ke is we lose of living a better reason. It is simply that the
