Oregon Ducks defensive lineman Bear Alexander discusses his work ethic
Transcript
00:00A lot of people talk about your work ethic.
00:08It came up multiple times during the spring.
00:10Just what is your philosophy on what you do out there that makes you stand out and
00:15feel a little bit different in terms of your work ethic?
00:18Well, obviously last season was cut short, so we didn't really get to display much.
00:22But I feel like the work has been put in year in and year out.
00:27So, just really excited to still show that I'm elite and to go out here and wreck shop.
00:32What's the disconnect about you, Nash?
00:36Because it changed a lot of high schools, changed a lot of colleges.
00:40And last year, headlines were what they were, man.
00:43He's leaving, he's red shirt because playing time.
00:47Some people would say that's quitting.
00:48All your former teammates at SC and Coach Riley rave about you.
00:53Coach Riley said he's rooting for you for every game except for one.
00:56If you quit on your team, former teammates would respect you for that.
00:59Yeah.
01:00But they do.
01:02Yeah, Nashley, that's a perception.
01:05What is it that people aren't seeing on the outside,
01:08that the people on the inside still respect about you,
01:11even if some things haven't worked out?
01:13I mean, obviously, and like I say, things and goals planned.
01:17You know, you just kind of control what you can control.
01:22At the end of the day, it's still love over there with those guys.
01:25Like, I still talk to C Will.
01:26I still talk to pretty much everybody over there.
01:29So, you just kind of want to have things you can control what you can control.
