00:09Venezuelan authorities blamed the White House and its officials, stating that these acts
00:13are part of a systematic policy of human rights violations and persecution against migrant
00:19families which violates international agreements.
00:22The Venezuelan executive also demanded that the U.S. government immediately release the
00:26minors and in view of this situation, the Venezuelan foreign ministry has called on international
00:32organizations to take action against these abuses, reaffirming its commitment to protecting
00:38its citizens, whatever they may be.
00:43Through his social media accounts, Venezuelan foreign minister Ivan Hill stated that the
01:01United States government is holding 33 Venezuelan children hostage on its territory separated from
01:06their families in open violation of international law, human rights and even its own laws.
01:13It is a criminally inhumane and outlaw practice unbecoming of a state that purports to be a
01:21defender of freedoms while trampling on the most basic rights of children.
01:27He also declared that John McNamara, U.S. charge of the affairs in Colombia, is the perpetrator
01:33of this crime directly responsible for perpetuating this illegal and deeply immoral situation.
01:41We demand the immediate and unconditional release of all of them.
01:44They must be reunited with the families now.
