Trump’s comments come weeks after Virginia Giuffre, who said she was recruited at Mar-a-Lago as a teen and abused by Epstein, died by suicide. Trump and Epstein were longtime friends, but they reportedly fell out years before Epstein's 2008 guilty plea for soliciting a minor. A White House spokesman said last week that Trump expelled Epstein from Mar-a-Lago for “being a creep.”
