00:00Anthony, last year for Halloween, you dressed up as Theo Huxtable in that Gordon Gattrall iconic shirt.
00:06We are so sad about Malcolm Jamal Warner's passing.
00:09His death is obviously still so very fresh.
00:12And Stephanie, we loved your co-star Andre Brower.
00:15As fans, we feel so close to the people on screen.
00:17How do you come to terms with this kind of loss?
00:20Well, I'm proud to say Malcolm Jamal Warner was a friend of mine.
00:24He's somebody that I knew and I spent time with and just was such a beautiful human being that every time I was around him, I was able to take full advantage of those conversations in that time.
00:36That for me is the most important thing.
00:38Like even with Andre, there are so many opportunities early in my career being in New York and that new kid, you know, on the theater scene to have those lessons and those moments and have that communicated to you by such at that time for me, such an icon in the business.
00:56It's just always tell people, just take full advantage of those moments and truly be yourself so that that person can see, react and engage with who you are and not some fictitious idea of who you think they want you to be.
01:11It's like, wow, you know, we we actually we did that.
01:14We had that moment.
01:15We had those conversations and we were able to to laugh and be human beings with each other.
01:19All you have is the memories now of these people that you really cared about.
01:23And I think everybody understands that.
01:26Unfortunately, we all go through grief in our lives and all you really have is those memories.
01:31So Anthony is absolutely right.
01:32Coming to people in your life with your truest, most honest self as much as you can at all times is going to feed the memories when you lose them and hopefully feed their memories when someday they might lose you.
