EAM S. Jaishankar lashed out at Congress in Lok Sabha, citing their 'inaction' during 26/11. He defended Operation Sindoor, saying the same Opposition now questions India's decisive action. Amit Shah backed him, accusing the Opposition of trusting foreign voices over Indian ministers.
00:08Is being asked by people who after 26-11 felt that the best action was in action.
00:19Because 26-11 happened in November of 2008.
00:25What was the reaction?
00:26The reaction was Sharm al-Sheikh.
00:28Was that diplomatic?
00:29Was it covert?
00:30Was it military?
00:31In the course of the debate today, some points were made by members of the opposition.
00:42I would like to respond to some of them.
00:46We were asked, you know, why did you stop at this time?
00:53Why did you not go further?
00:56Please see who is asking this question.
00:59This question is being asked by people who after 26-11 felt that the best action was in action.
01:10Now, I would like, sir, I would like, sir, to read out because one member said, you know, nowadays BJP members like reading from books.
01:20You get the truth in books.
01:22Sometimes you don't like what we read in books.
01:25So, let me read out, sir, two excerpts from a book by the National Security Advisor of the UPA government.
01:33After 26-11, a chapter, there's a book called Choices.
01:37He says, on sober reflection and in hindsight, I now believe the decision not to retaliate militarily, but to concentrate on diplomatic, covert and other means was the right one for that time and place.
01:55This is what he says.
01:57But, did he even do that?
02:00So, 26-11 happened in November of 2008.
02:06What was the reaction?
02:07The reaction was Sharm al-Sheikh?
02:10Was that diplomatic?
02:11Was it covert?
02:12Was it military?
02:13Now, what did Sharm al-Sheikh do?
02:16In Sharm al-Sheikh, the then government and the Pakistani Prime Minister agreed terrorism is a main threat to both countries.
02:27Now, today, sir, people are saying, you know, America is hyphenating you, Russia is hyphenating you.
02:38That is what I heard Dupinder Huda Ji say, hello, you are hyphenating yourself.
02:43I mean, you did not need a foreign country to say, please link India to Pakistan.
02:48Your own government was saying, you know, India and terrorism is a main threat to both countries.
02:55And then they said, terrorism should not be linked to the composite dialogue.
03:01And worst of all, they accepted a reference to Baluchistan in that.
03:08Now, here is a country reeling after 26-11.
03:12And you are equating Baluchistan and 26-11, what happened in Mumbai?
03:17And you are saying that the perpetrator and the victim have both got a problem?
03:22And then, now you are asking me, why didn't you go further?
03:25People who did nothing are asking a government who did so much, saying, why didn't you do more?
03:31Now, you might think, sir, that this is a one-off.
03:37But this is a habit, because this is the thinking in that part of the house.
03:44Some years ago, there was, if you remember, sir, the Mumbai train bombing.
03:49The Mumbai train bombing happened in July of 2006.
03:54In September of 2006, three months after the Mumbai train bombing, at Havana,
04:00the UPA government, with its Pakistani counterpart, condemns all acts of terrorism,
04:07as though we are both again equal, and agrees that it's a scourge that we need to effectively deal with together.
04:13And then they directed again, presumption of dialogue.
04:16So, what I want to highlight is, for people who did nothing,
04:23to have the temerity, the gumption today, to ask a government which did so much,
04:28which brought down Bhopalpur and Moritzko, to say, why didn't you do more?
04:33I think it's extraordinary.
04:35What is the reason why?
04:36How can I give a break, is very good?
04:40To be honest.
04:42Is it one for all?
04:44Harold Flux汁 is not bothered?
04:45I mean, KNOWC, we have a Becca tries for this, so it breaks down a little,
04:47look!
04:48Can you support me to have a Trump zeitgeist vision service guy?
04:51And then they look at all times and what?
04:53To be honest, sir, to remember what happened?
04:54Because as to me, He tried to say, but don't you?
