00:00So, fill us in on Deion Sanders,
00:03because this is about to happen right now.
00:05So this whole off season,
00:06there's been a lot of question marks surrounding his health
00:09and what is going on with Deion Sanders.
00:11Now, he hasn't ever said specifically what it is,
00:14but we know he's had health issues in the past.
00:16He's had toes amputated, you know,
00:18a lot of issues that he's really had.
00:20Connected to what, like diabetes or what?
00:22It was a toe injury, he had a long-standing toe injury.
00:25It was a turf toe injury and he finally got it fixed
00:26and he underwent surgery on it and it just didn't take.
00:29And he had infections and all that kind of stuff.
00:32Ultimately, he had to get two toes amputated.
00:33Yeah, yeah.
00:34Part of his calf.
00:35So, this whole off season, you know,
00:38he's kind of just been out of the spotlight.
00:42Recently though, in Deion Jr.'s vlog,
00:46you know, just documenting his past few weeks or whatever,
00:49Deion is on the stream saying, you know,
00:51I'm still going through something.
00:52Now, there was the report that he was having a medical issue,
00:56that everything was gonna be okay by the start of the season.
00:59He actually went to, you know, conference media day and said,
01:02you know, this is not going to impact my, you know, my job,
01:05my duties on the sidelines.
01:07But, things have seemingly, based on how it's worded
01:14and what we've been told about this event,
01:16he's doing a press conference with his doctors
01:18and his medical team and there's speculation
01:20that this could be a very serious rebellion.
01:22Well, he was talking about his will over the weekend.
01:24Right.
01:25So, talking about having to make a will.
01:26Right.
01:27That's not good.
01:27Right.
01:28And you should explain Deion Sanders, just so people know,
01:31in case they don't know.
01:31Deion Sanders?
01:32Yeah.
01:32Absolute Hall of Famer, one of the best to ever step on the gridiron.
01:35He has really changed the Colorado Buffaloes program
01:38to the point where, you know,
01:40not really the best football school in the world,
01:43but he has made it one of the most, you know, coveted tickets,
01:48must-see events.
01:49Last season with Travis Hunter being the Heisman winner,
01:52his son, Shador Sanders, being a superstar as well,
01:55I mean, in just a short amount of time,
01:57has turned it around to bring them into relevance
02:00in a way that really hasn't really happened before.
02:04He's kind of gotten a lot of, you know, support
02:07and then also a lot of criticism as to how he coaches his team.
02:10And not just that.
02:10As a player, too, Deion, like, broke the mold.
02:12He was the first guy that had a lot of personality,
02:14didn't care what you thought he should be like.
02:17He was going to wear the jewelry.
02:19I think he was, like, the first modern athlete.
02:23I think he revolutionized sports.
02:25Okay.
02:25And he was the greatest.
02:25What we're going to do is we're going to move on
02:29with the rest of the show and come over here
02:32and just stop whatever we're doing.
02:33They're live.
02:34Oh, they're live?
02:34Oh, they're live?
02:34They're live, yeah.
02:34Okay.
02:35So this is...
02:37Okay, so the stream is live right now.
02:39Can we turn it up so people can hear?
02:41Yep.
02:41From the stream?
02:42Yep.
02:46All right, he's sitting down.
02:48Okay.
02:50All right.
02:51Ed, you're writing?
02:52Yeah.
02:53Cool.
02:53I got the prep post up.
02:54You're going to write this?
02:55We're already prepped post, so I'm just going to...
02:57Yeah, I mean, you want to just...
02:58Is this live on the site?
03:00Jacob, can you grab me a...
03:01Can you make sure this is live on the site?
03:03Oh, you want me to put it live?
03:04Yeah, I think so.
03:06Why not?
03:07Okay, let me fix this.
03:08But you'd better...
03:09You should do it fast.
03:10Yeah, I got to do it now.
03:10You're sitting down.
03:11We removed the tumor.
03:12It was very high-grade, invading through the bladder wall,
03:15not into the muscle layer,
03:16something we call very high-risk,
03:17non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer.
03:19So we did discuss options.
03:21We discussed some options of treatment in the bladder,
03:23and we discussed bladder removal as well,
03:26given his commitments to his family
03:28and to the team elected to undergo bladder removal.
03:31And I am pleased to report that the results from the surgery
03:34are that he is cured from the cancer.
03:38You can clap.
03:39It's okay.
03:43So what was the thing with the will?
03:46I don't know.
03:48I mean, because it sounds like he's got a good prognosis now.
03:50Yeah.
03:50No, they said...
03:52In fact, people applauded.
03:53Right.
03:53They said the cancer is gone.
03:55Right, right.
03:55I don't know.
03:56I have no idea.
03:57You would think when you heard that,
03:59that, okay, hey, he's facing something like...
04:01That could be...
04:02You know, take his life, right?
04:04That doesn't sound like that's the case right now.
04:05No, it sounds like the opposite.
04:06Right.
04:07It sounds like they saved his life.
04:08Right.
04:08I'm sure it was very serious before,
04:10but the doctors, they did their job,
04:12and they had a successful outcome with the surgery.
04:13Yeah, I'm not sure why he announced the thing with the will.
04:15It doesn't seem to make sense.
04:16It's odd.
04:17But, I mean, good news.
04:18And, I mean, there was, like, thunderous applause.
04:21Oh, they love him there.
04:21And he has, like Lucas said,
04:23he transformed this program.
04:24Nobody cared about this Colorado football program.
04:26It was irrelevant.
04:27And now they're one of the most, you know,
04:28talked about programs in the country, period.
04:30And that's because of him.
04:32Finally, some good news.
04:33Yeah.
04:34Hey, there we go.
04:35Yeah.
04:35Hey, it's Becca Berger from Warwick, Rhode Island.
04:38Yeah, finally some hopeful, some good news.
04:40Coming off of last week, where a lot of, well, I don't know,
04:44some of us in the millennial generation lost some big names,
04:47like Ozzy Osbourne, Hulk Hogan, and Malcolm Jamal Warner.
04:50At least, at first we thought this was going to be some more bad news,
04:55but it seems like things are looking up for an icon like Deion Sanders.
04:59You know, I never thought of that, but you're absolutely right.
05:01And after last week, which was one of the craziest, upsetting weeks
05:08with Ozzy Osbourne, Malcolm Jamal Warner, Hulk Hogan dying,
05:13that we're starting off this Monday, and we're thinking,
05:16Deion Sanders is talking about drafting a will.
05:19So thank God he's okay.
