Trump has ignited global shockwaves by acknowledging the dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza, stating, “That’s real starvation… you can’t fake that.” His comments stand in stark contrast to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s firm denial that starvation exists in Gaza, claiming, “There is no policy of starvation, and there is no starvation.” As images of malnourished children and collapsing aid systems circulate worldwide, Trump’s unexpected remarks raise serious questions: Is Israel hiding the true scale of the crisis?
00:00That's real starvation stuff. I see it and you can't fake that. So we're going to be even more involved.
00:08We did some airlifts before, some airdrops, and the people are running for it.
00:15And the prime minister is going to help us. They're very effective with that.
00:18You've done that before and for many. They've done that for 100 years very well.
00:23So it's not it's not it's not very hard to do, actually.
00:26And we'll continue to win. But the main thing that I want to stress is the importance of winning the battle for truth.
00:33And that is a battle that we fought even as we speak now.
00:37Israel is presented as though we are applying a campaign of starvation in Gaza.
00:46What a bold-faced lie.
00:50There is no policy of starvation in Gaza and there is no starvation in Gaza.
00:57We enable humanitarianism throughout the duration of the war to enter Gaza.
01:02Otherwise, there would be no Gazans.
01:04We also discussed, obviously, Gaza.
01:07And I think before we get to phase two, which is, you know, what's going to happen afterwards, we want to get the children fed.
01:12We made a contribution a week ago of 60 million dollars all going into food.
01:19We only hope the food goes to the people that need it because so, so much, as you know, when you do something there, it gets taken by Hamas or somebody.
01:28But it gets taken.
01:30But and we're prepared to help.
01:33You know, we want to help.
01:34It's a terrible situation.
01:36The whole thing is terrible.
01:39It's been bad for many years.
01:41But it's great to hear you feel the same way that I do.
01:44We have to help on a humanitarian basis before we do anything.
01:47We have to get the kids fed.
01:49So we've been sending in a lot of food.
01:51A lot of the food that's been going there has been sent by the United States.
01:55I spoke yesterday with the president of the European Union, Ursula, who was terrific also on the subject.
02:03And she's going to play a big role also in helping us.
02:06So we have a good group of countries are going to help with the humanitarian needs, which is food, sanitation and some other things.
02:14And it's very difficult to deal with Hamas.
02:19As I said, you know, we got a tremendous amount of hostages out, but it would take place in drips and drabs.
02:25You'd get 10, you'd get five, you'd get two, you'd get 10, 12.
02:30We get 12 one time.
02:32Many of them would come to the White House and they were so thankful.
02:34But I always said when you come when you get down to the final 10 or 20, you're not going to be able to make a deal with these people because they use them as a shield.
02:41And when they give them up, they no longer have a shield.
02:45And the people of Israel feel so strongly about the hostages.
02:50Some people would take a different view, but they feel so strongly about the hostages.
02:55So that's an ongoing process.
02:58Hamas has become very difficult to deal with in the last couple of days because they don't want to give up these last 20 because they think as long as we have them, they have them.
03:08They have protection, but I don't think it can work that way.
03:12So I'm speaking to B.B. Netanyahu, and we are coming up with various plans.
03:19We're going to say it's a very difficult situation.
03:22If they didn't have the hostages, things would go very quickly.
03:26But they do, and we know where they have them in some cases.
03:30And you don't want to go riding roughshod over that area because that means those hostages will be killed.
03:37Now, there are some people that would say, well, that's the price you pay, but we don't like to say that.
03:41We don't want to say that.
03:43And I don't think the people of Israel want to say that either, which is pretty amazing.
03:47A lot of people would say just get it done and whatever it is.
03:50You could also say speed might be better for the hostages.
03:55You go through, you know, with speed, you may have a better chance because they're in deep trouble.
04:00They're in deep trouble.
04:02You saw October 7th, and you saw what the damage and the horror that they committed.
04:08People can't forget that.
04:10You know, they tend to forget it, but they can't forget.
04:12That was one of the most evil things I've ever seen.
04:14And you just cannot forget that.
04:18So we're very much involved.
04:19The prime minister's involved.
04:21I'm involved.
04:22And I think I can speak.
04:23We just signed a very big trade deal, the biggest of them all yesterday, right?
04:27And the European Union is very much involved in wanting to help with the, really, the Palestinians in terms of getting people fed.
04:38But the area of Gaza, another way of defining it is the area of Gaza.
04:43It's a very troubled place, and it has been for many, many years.
04:47It has been for many decades.
04:49So it's not like this just happened.
04:52This has been going on for a long period of time.
04:54So that's it.
04:57Our hearts are in the right place.
05:00It's going to be working with the United States.
05:02We'll be helping with the food.
05:04We have a lot of access to food.
05:06We've got a lot of food ourselves.
05:08And we're going to bring it over there.
05:09We're also going to make sure that they don't have barriers stopping people.
05:12You know, you've seen the areas where they actually have food, and the people are screaming for the food.
05:17And they're 35, 40 yards away, and they won't let them because they have lines that are set up.
05:25And whether they're set up by Hamas or whoever, but they're very strict lines, so we have to get rid of those lines.
05:32But we're going to be getting some good, strong food.
05:34We can save a lot of people.
05:36I mean, some of those kids are, that's real starvation stuff.
05:40I see it.
05:41And you can't fake that.
05:43So we're going to be even more involved.
05:47We did some airlifts before, some airdrops.
05:50And the people are running for it.
05:53And the prime minister is going to help us.
05:55They're very effective with that.
05:56You've done that before.
05:57And for many, they've done that for 100 years very well.
