U.S. President Donald Trump declared a significant cut in tariffs on Russian oil imports to India, calling it a “strategic move to strengthen global trade ties.” Speaking from the White House, Trump emphasized that the decision would help balance energy markets while deepening U.S.-India relations. The announcement came shortly after the Senate passed a bill ending the long-running government shutdown, a move Trump hailed as a “win for the American people.”

00:00Thank you very much, everybody. It's an honor to be here for our friend Sergio, Sergio Gore.
00:07Today we're thrilled to be in a swearing for the next ambassador to India and special envoy to
00:14South and Central Asia, which is a big deal, and Sergio will handle it better than anybody
00:19could handle it, so I just want to congratulate Sergio. Come here a minute, Sergio.
00:30So we are honored to be joined this afternoon by our great Vice President, J.D. Vance.
00:36Thank you, J.D.. Vance. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio.
00:48Secretary Scott Besson, who's doing a great job.
00:55Attorney General Pam Bondi.
01:00And U.S. Attorney Janine Pirro.
01:09You see, it's a very safe place, Janine, right?
01:12Very safe.
01:13Nice to meet you.
01:15Yes.
01:16Along with Senators Lindsey Graham, Jim Risch, Tommy Tuberville, and Katie Britt.
01:21And I will give you an exemption because, you know, they're supposed to be right now in the
01:26Senate, and if you guys want to sneak out, nobody will see you leaving.
01:30Do you want to do that, Lindsey, or do you want to stay in the middle?
01:32No, we won't be, too.
01:33Okay, you sneak out any time you want.
01:36We don't want to screw up any votes, do we?
01:37Amen.
01:38Okay, thank you.
01:39Thank you for being here.
01:40But we're also very honored to be joined by Mrs., a very special woman who I unfortunately
01:48have seen a lot of lately on television for the wrong reasons, a woman who is great, who
01:54Charlie said is the greatest of anybody who knew, best friends and best everything, Erica
02:00Kirk, so thank you for being here.
02:10And as Erica knows, another special woman, Laura Ingram.
02:14Where's Laura?
02:15She's here someplace.
02:16Thank you, Laura.
02:18And many other true American patriots, great people.
02:21One year ago, Sergio played a key role in helping us secure the most consequential presidential
02:27election victory in the history of our country.
02:30And from the day we won, he immediately began working to staff our new administration with
02:36the most talented team of any president.
02:39And we have had a great team.
02:40A couple of mistakes, Sergio, but we won't mention them.
02:45Good God.
02:46We got rid of them pretty quick.
02:47We found a couple we weren't thrilled with.
02:49We got them out of here.
02:51But as my director of office and presidential personnel from the early days of transition,
02:56Sergio's leadership was essential to fulfilling the historic mandate entrusted to us by the
03:02American people.
03:04And that's what we've done with the help here at the White House.
03:08We set new benchmarks for presidential staffing.
03:11Nobody's done it, I think, hopefully better, but certainly quicker.
03:15But I don't think anybody's done it better.
03:17We have great people surrounded by the people that I really do love and like and respect.
03:22But we hired 4,000 appointees across every federal department in record time, including
03:29over 1,000 appointments on day one.
03:32So before we even got started, we had over 1,000 people working for us.
03:37Under Sergio's leadership, federal agencies and departments reached staffing levels of 95%
03:43and is faster than any administration in modern-day history.
03:48And prior to his work on behalf of my 2024 campaign, Sergio had tremendous success as an entrepreneur in the publishing world.
03:56He even published my book, which went to number one.
03:58I was very happy because if it didn't, I wouldn't probably, he wouldn't be aware of it.
04:02But now I'm trusting Sergio to help strengthen one of our country's most important international relationships,
04:10and that's the strategic partnership with the Republic of India.
04:14It's a big deal.
04:15India is home to one of the world's oldest civilization, the largest country in the world, actually.
04:20And it's got over 1.5 billion people.
04:25And we have a fantastic relationship with the prime minister, Modi.
04:29And Sergio has only enhanced that because he's become already friendly with the prime minister,
04:35knowing that Sergio is going to be the ambassador.
04:39They would call constantly to say, let's get to know this man, and they like what they see.
04:43So I know you're going to have a great success over this.
04:45It's a very important relationship.
04:47But it's also the fastest-growing middle class,
04:51and it's an important economic and strategic security partner in the Indo-Pacific region.
04:56It's an amazing country, actually.
04:581.5 billion people.
04:59China has 1.4 billion.
05:02Those are two big countries.
05:04As ambassador, Sergio will work to fortify our country's bond,
05:08promote investments in key U.S. industries and technologies,
05:12increase American energy exports and expand our security cooperation.
05:17And, you know, we're making a deal with India, a much different deal than we had in the past.
05:21So right now, they don't love me, but they'll love us again.
05:24We're getting a fair deal, just a fair trade deal.
05:27We had pretty unfair trade deals.
05:29They're very good negotiators, Sergio.
05:31You have to take a look at that, if you would, please.
05:34But we're getting close, Scott.
05:35I think we're pretty close to doing a deal that's good for everybody, right?
05:39In the old days, do you think Biden would ask that question?
05:42I don't think so.
05:43He'd say, how are we doing with India?
05:44He didn't know about India.
05:46He didn't know a damn thing.
05:47But that's okay.
05:48We had him.
05:50Likewise, in Sergio's role as special envoy to South and Central Asia,
05:55he'll be a key emissary to a very important group of nations
05:58at the crossroads between East and West.
06:00And last week, I was honored to host the leaders of five Central Asian countries
06:05here in the White House.
06:07And Sergio will be helping with all of that.
06:09We had an amazing meeting the other night at the White House.
06:13And I'm confident that Sergio will do an outstanding job
06:16and make our country and all of his friends very proud.
06:19But I'm very proud of Sergio.
06:20I've known him for a long time.
06:22And he's a great guy.
06:24And most people love him.
06:25Some people don't like him so much.
06:27I'll be honest with you, Sergio.
06:28Some people, when they don't like Sergio, they don't like him.
06:32But when they like him, they like him more than anybody.
06:35But most of them really are the like category.
06:38And I just want to say that I think he's going to be an outstanding representative
06:42for the United States of America.
06:44And it's a big deal.
06:46Being the ambassador to India is a big deal.
06:48So, Sergio, congratulations.
06:50I know you're going to do a fantastic job.
06:52And now, Mr. Vice-President, you're swearing.
07:00All right.
07:02Okay.
07:02Swear him in here.
07:04Right hand up.
07:07Thank you, Judge.
07:08I appreciate the assistance.
07:09We have such a crowd here, you think we're swearing in a vice president, sir?
07:13Okay.
07:13Please repeat after me.
07:18I, Sergio Gore, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the
07:27United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and
07:34allegiance to the same, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same, that I
07:38take this obligation freely, that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation,
07:43without any mental reservation, or purpose of evasion, or purpose of evasion, and that
07:47I will well and faithfully, and that I will well and faithfully, discharge the duties,
07:52discharge the duties, of the office on which I'm about to enter, of the office on which
07:56I'm about to enter.
07:57So help you, God.
07:58So help me, God.
07:58Congratulations, Mr. Vice-President.
08:34Mr. Vice-President, this is an honor of a lifetime.
08:38I want to thank, first, you, what you have done for this country before you came back
08:43in, the trouble that this country was facing.
08:46I mean, frankly, we were screwed.
08:48What you have achieved in 10 months has been historic, has surpassed any other presidency,
08:54and I fully believe what you will achieve in the next three years will never be beaten.
08:59So it has been an honor to serve you.
09:03I've been at your side for many years.
09:05I will continue to be there.
09:08And it's just an incredible honor.
09:10And I look forward to enhancing the relationship between our two nations.
09:13But again, thank you for entrusting me with this position, and I look forward to doing a great job for you.
09:21Thank you very much, Sergio.
09:22Well, thank you, sir.
09:32First of all, congratulations, Sergio.
09:34You're going to be a great ambassador, a great representative to the country of India, which the President and I both love.
09:39As a lot of you know, Sergio was a critical piece of what made the first 10 months such a great success.
09:44Obviously, the President's leadership is the most important thing, but you can't do a whole lot unless you've got good people around you.
09:50And Sergio did as much as anybody to ensure that the White House was staffed with the very best people,
09:55people who were loyal to the President, loyal to the country, and loyal to the agenda that we're trying to implement.
09:59So thank you all for being here.
10:01I think it's a great testament to you, Sergio, that you've got multiple cabinet secretaries, Erica Kirk, the President of the United States.
10:08This crowd would not turn out for just anybody, but it turned out for Sergio Bore.
10:12You're going to do a hell of a job, man.
10:19Just to echo what Sergio said, Mr. President, you've done a lot for this country, more than any other president has in such a short period of time.
10:25And part of that is putting together a phenomenal team.
10:28And I know Sergio was instrumental in helping you achieve that.
10:30And so we think he'll do a great job.
10:32This is a very impressive collection of people.
10:34There are almost 1.5 billion people in the Oval Office right now.
10:38But Sergio's going to do a phenomenal job.
10:42Those of us who've known him, so many of his friends that are here and family as well that know how hard he works, 24 hours, 7 days a week.
10:48And that's what it takes to work in this administration because of how much you're pushing our country forward around the world and here at home.
10:54And we know Sergio will do a great job.
10:56So congratulations, Sergio.
10:57You're going to do a phenomenal job.
11:00Janine, please.
11:02Well, I'm very proud to be here with Sergio.
11:04My friend has been my friend for many years.
11:06He is someone who is loyal, he is trustworthy, and he works as hard as anyone I know.
11:13And Mr. President, there is in this room a group of people who love you, who believe in you, and who are so proud to be in this Oval Office
11:23and to be part of this amazing day because you have changed the course of America.
11:30You, and thank you, Sergio, for what you've done.
11:33God bless you both.
11:34Well, he was also very good friends with a guy named Charlie.
11:46We just knew him as Charlie, and his wife, who we love so much, is here with us.
11:51And maybe, you know, how close they were together.
11:53Maybe, Erica, you could say a couple of words, please.
11:55Charlie loved you.
11:59It's hard not to get emotional because I know that he would have been the first phone call when he found out that you were going to be taking this position.
12:07And the way that I was able to witness the two of you work together for years and to champion and support the president was absolutely humbling to witness.
12:20And I am so proud of you.
12:21And Charlie is going to be with you every single day in spirit.
12:25And I will be praying for you every day because I know that this is just the beginning of an incredible opportunity for you.
12:31And, sir, thank you for allowing Sergio to have this beautiful moment.
12:37Thank you very much.
12:38Thank you, John.
12:40And that man's watching over us right now, right?
12:43Okay.
12:44Any questions?
12:45Senator, Senator, Mr. President, do you personally approve of the deal that's happening right now on Capitol Hill to end the U.S. shutdown?
12:51Well, it depends what deal we're talking about.
12:53But if it's a deal I heard about, it's certainly, you know, they want to change the deal a little bit.
12:58But I would say so.
12:58I think based on everything I'm hearing, they haven't changed anything.
13:02And we have support from enough Democrats.
13:06And we're going to be opening up our country.
13:08It's too bad it was slowest, but we'll be opening up our country very quickly.
13:11Mr. President, that deal does reverse the mass firings your administration put through during the shutdown.
13:16Did you sign off on that?
13:18And will you abide by that if this passes?
13:20Well, I will abide by the deal.
13:22The deal is very good.
13:23We're not going to be giving one and a half trillion dollars to people that came in from jails and from, you know, gangs and drug dealers and all of these others that they wanted to be given health care, which would have hurt our health care system.
13:36I hope that we're going to be able to have a health care where Lindsay and I were discussing it, Jim and I were discussing it, and Katie, we discussed it.
13:44We want a health care system where we pay the money to the people instead of the insurance companies.
13:48And I tell you, we're going to be working on that very hard over the next short period of time where the people get the money.
13:54We're talking about trillions and trillions of dollars where the people get the money.
13:58Yes, please.
13:59The Syria president, sir, could you update us on your meeting?
14:03Did you come to any agreements?
14:05Say it.
14:06With the leader of Syria you had earlier, did you come to any agreements today?
14:10Well, I had an agreement with him.
14:11He's a very strong leader.
14:13He comes from a very tough place, and he's a tough guy.
14:18I liked him.
14:19I get along with him, the president, the new president of Syria.
14:21And we'll do everything we can to make Syria successful because that's part of the Middle East.
14:27We have peace now in the Middle East.
14:28First time that anyone can remember that ever happening.
14:39Syria was a very big part of the Middle East, a very important part.
14:44If you look back at Syria for years, they had the doctors, the lawyers.
14:48They had so many of the great intellects.
14:51It's an amazing place with great people, and we want to see Syria be successful along with the rest of the Middle East.
14:57So I have confidence that he'll be able to do the job, absolutely.
15:01President, how close are you to a deal, a trade deal with India?
15:05Are you willing to consider lowering the current tariff rate?
15:08Well, right now the tariffs are very high on India because of the Russian oil, and they've stopped doing the Russian oil.
15:14It's been reduced very substantially.
15:16Yeah, we're going to be bringing the tariffs down.
15:18What level are we talking about here?
15:21I mean, at some point, no, at some point we're going to be bringing them down.
15:24Without tariffs, we would be, this country would be in such trouble, as they were for many years.
15:30That's why we owe $38 trillion.
15:31And one of the things we're going to do, we're going to issue a dividend to our middle-income people and lower-income people of about $2,000.
15:41And we're going to use the remaining tariffs to lower our debt.
15:44We're going to be lowering our debt, which is a national security thing.
15:46So we're doing a lot of good work.
15:49And the numbers were reported so incorrectly.
15:52The real numbers are trillions of dollars have been taken in or gotten in terms of investment from the tariffs.
16:01And so if that were ever reversed, it would be a disaster.
16:04Frankly, it would be a national security problem for our country.
16:07And nobody thinks it's going to be reversed.
16:09I think we had a very good court case.
16:11As you know, it's before the Supreme Court right now.
16:14But if that were ever reversed, you know, people are saying, oh, it's a billion dollars.
16:18Some people said, oh, it's two billion.
16:19Well, that obviously we can handle very easily.
16:21But this is trillions of dollars we're talking about in terms of the tariff income and all the investment income that's come into our country.
16:29You know, we have more than, I would say right now, more than $18 trillion.
16:34The biggest number ever is a tiny fraction of that for any country.
16:38China, the United States, the biggest number ever.
16:41If you look at the past administration, Biden, he did less than a trillion in four years.
16:46We're over $18 trillion.
16:48By the time my first year ends, we're going to have over $20 trillion of investment coming into the United States.
16:55It's unheard of.
16:56We have AI factories.
16:57We're leading China by a lot.
16:59We have cars and, you know, car plants coming in by more than we've ever had built before.
17:06All of that would go away if we lose the tariff case.
17:10So all of it would go away.
17:11So they're not giving the right numbers.
17:13It would be an economic disaster.
17:16It would be a national security disaster if we lost the case in the Supreme Court.
17:20Mr. President, back to the tariff rebate, this is an idea that you've been talking about for months.
17:26This is going to directly and positively impact millions of Americans.
17:31Why is this important for you to do and when can Americans expect that?
17:34So I've been talking about it for a long time, the dividend to people that, you know, have suffered under the Biden administration.
17:40So Biden had the highest inflation in history, and we now are at a very low point.
17:45We're going to be hitting one and a half percent pretty soon.
17:47So we're at a low point, and he was a high point.
17:51We did that.
17:52Food prices are way down.
17:54It's all coming down.
17:55And the biggest decrease, of course, is energy.
17:58And, you know, as goes energy, goes everything else.
18:01Because when energy comes down, the oil, the electric, but we, I think you're going to see $2 gasoline or something very close to that.
18:10In fact, we're already in the twos, but I think you're going to be seeing very soon $2 gasoline.
18:15That's like the equivalent of a massive tax cut.
18:17But in addition to that, the great big beautiful bill gives you a very, very big tax cut.
18:25And then you have no tax on tips, no tax on social security, and no tax on overtime for the middle income and for even, frankly, anybody.
18:35But you have no tax.
18:36And the no tax on tips has turned out to be a tremendous thing.
18:40But when you think no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and no tax on social security for our seniors, it's the great big beautiful bill, which has been mischaracterized.
18:51But now people even, they don't want to talk about it because it's so good, the enemy, because it's so good for everybody.
18:57It's the greatest piece of legislation ever passed in the history of our country in terms of size.
19:03And hence it's called, they call it the big beautiful bill or the one big beautiful, I call it the great big beautiful bill.
19:10It's an amazing bill for the middle class.
19:13It's an amazing bill for jobs.
19:16We've never passed anything like it.
19:17And in my first administration, so we had the greatest economy.
19:21Everything was good, but we're really outdoing it this time because we have investments coming in, largely because of tariffs.
19:28And I think because of November 5th, the election result.
19:31But we have investments coming in like we've never had before.
19:34On Syria, can we expect an announcement on a pact between Syria and Israel or an announcement on them joining the anti-ISIS?
19:49Yeah, you can expect some announcements on Syria.
19:52We want to see Syria become a country that's very successful.
19:56And I think this leader can do it.
19:57I really do.
19:58I think this leader can do it.
20:00And people said he's had a rough past.
20:02We've all had rough pasts, but he has had a rough past.
20:05And I think, frankly, if you didn't have a rough past, you wouldn't have a chance.
20:09He gets along very well with Turkey, with President Erdogan, who's a great leader.
20:15Erdogan's a great leader and very much in favor of what's happening in Syria.
20:20We have to make Syria work.
20:21Syria's a big part of the Middle East.
20:23And I will tell you, I think it is working and really well.
20:26We're working also with Israel on, you know, getting along with Syria, getting along with everybody.
20:31And that's working amazingly.
20:34As you know, Hamas has given us back numerous bodies.
20:37It sounds pretty gruesome, but it's something the parents want more than if their son had been living.
20:44Hard to believe.
20:44I've seen all of the parents, so many of the parents, and getting back the body of their son, their dead son, is as vital to them, as important to them, as if the boy was generally the boy.
21:00The boy was alive.
21:01And as you know, over the last four or five days, we've gotten a lot of the additional bodies that they said they were going to do.
21:09They've worked very hard to do that.
21:11So we have peace in the Middle East.
21:13It's a great thing.
21:14And nobody's ever seen anything quite like it.
21:16Actually, I'm meeting with the Syrian president today, Mr. President.
21:19You posted last week about your talks with Switzerland.
21:22We're reporting they are near a deal that would lower their rate.
21:25With Switzerland?
21:25Yeah.
21:26We're working on a deal to get their tariffs a little bit lower because.
21:2915% is what we're hearing?
21:30No, I haven't said any number, but we're going to be working on something to help Switzerland along.
21:34We hit Switzerland very hard.
21:36We want Switzerland to remain successful.
21:38And, you know, we're a part of Switzerland in the sense that they've been a very good ally.
21:43Yeah, we're working on them and some others.
21:45And we're working on others to increase them a little bit, too.
21:48How close is it to Switzerland?
21:50Switzerland?
21:50What, do you have something to do with Switzerland?
21:52No, I'm just kidding.
21:54He wants to buy a watch.
21:55He wants to buy a watch.
21:56He wants to buy a nice Rolex.
21:57He's a cheese guy.
21:58He wants to buy a nice Rolex.
21:59We'll give Rolex a couple of us.
22:01His Rolex has been very nice, you know.
22:05Now, look, it's a beautiful country.
22:07It's a small country, but economically very big.
22:10So we're working on something.
22:11Caitlin?
22:12After your meeting with the Syrian president earlier today, Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is
22:15a big ally of yours, said that she would rather see you focused on nonstop domestic policy
22:19meetings here at the White House instead of nonstop foreign policy meetings.
22:22What's your response to her saying that and also saying that grocery prices are up and
22:26not down, as you've said?
22:28Yeah, so I don't know what happened to Marjorie.
22:32She's a nice woman, but I don't know what happened.
22:34She's lost her way, I think.
22:35But I have to view the presidency as a worldwide situation, not locally.
22:42I mean, we could have a world that's on fire where wars come to our shores very easily if
22:47you had a bad president.
22:48We had a horrible president, and we ended up with Russia-Ukraine, and we ended up with
22:52other disasters, too.
22:53Don't forget, I put out eight wars, nine to come.
22:57I think I'll get the other one taken care of.
22:59When I put out eight wars, and look at the damage that Russia-Ukraine has done to us as
23:06a country.
23:06I mean, we spent $350 billion.
23:08We're not spending any money anymore.
23:10Now they pay us through NATO.
23:12You know, I got NATO to go from 2% to 5%.
23:14Well, that's very important.
23:16When you're president, you really sort of have to watch over the world because you're going
23:20to be dragged into it.
23:21Otherwise, you're going to be dragged into a world war.
23:23I think if I weren't president, first of all, that war would have never happened if I was
23:30president.
23:31And if I weren't president, that war could have led to World War III.
23:35It won't.
23:35It's not going to anymore.
23:37But when I first got in, I said, wow, this situation could lead to World War III.
23:41And I got NATO together.
23:42I got everybody together.
23:44But with all of that, I passed a great big beautiful bill, which is the biggest tax cuts
23:48in the history of our country.
23:50So when somebody like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who's now catering to the other side, I don't
23:54know what, you know, I mean, she's got some kind of an act going, but I'm surprised at
23:58her.
23:59But when somebody like Marjorie goes over and starts making statements like that, it shows
24:04she doesn't know.
24:05I don't devote a lot of my time.
24:07Let me give you another example.
24:08China.
24:09China was going to hit us with rare earth.
24:11Now, everybody says, well, what does that mean?
24:13Magnets.
24:15If China refused to give magnets because they have a monopoly on magnets.
24:19It's because they were allowed to happen over a 32 year period.
24:24There wouldn't be a car made in the entire world.
24:26There wouldn't be a radio.
24:27There wouldn't be a television.
24:29There wouldn't be Internet.
24:30There wouldn't be anything because magnets are such a part.
24:32Now, nobody knows what magnets are and not overly sophisticated.
24:37But to build a magnet system would take two years.
24:40So if I weren't able to say to China, look, if you're going to do that to us, we're going
24:44to charge you 158 percent tariff.
24:46It was 100 percent on top of 58 percent.
24:49And China called up immediately and said, we will make peace.
24:52And we made peace.
24:53We made a great deal.
24:54We made an unbelievable deal.
24:56China's paying tariffs to the United States, not the United States paying tariffs to China,
25:01which has always been the way it was.
25:02Nobody can believe these deals.
25:04But so when somebody makes a statement about he's devoting time to the world, well, the
25:08world is the United States because if the world's in trouble or if the world is ripping
25:13us off, you know, the world was ripping us off before I came here.
25:17Europe was getting massive tariffs.
25:19They were sending us nine, 10 million cars a year.
25:22We were sending them none.
25:24They were not taking our agriculture.
25:26We were taking massive amounts of their it was so unfair.
25:29Now we have a deal where nine hundred and fifty billion dollars is coming into the United
25:34States because of me and because of tariffs.
25:37So if I don't do all these things, our country is doing very poorly.
25:41So, you know, it's easy to say, oh, don't worry about the world.
25:44But the world is turning out to be our biggest customer.
25:47The world is the world was on fire and we could have been in that fire very easily if
25:52you didn't have a president that knew what he was doing.
25:55Can you guarantee to Americans that travel is going to go back to normal once the government
26:01travel, that travel, all the air travel, you know why?
26:04When the government reopens.
26:06Yeah, sure.
26:06It'll be much better than normal because we're buying the most sophisticated avionics and,
26:11you know, technology for our control towers.
26:15And we didn't have that.
26:16We had a guy named Buttigieg, Buttigieg is the best word, just say two edges like off
26:22the edge of a cliff, which is where they were taking us, by the way.
26:28Buttigieg was the secretary of transportation and he spent billions of dollars trying to patch
26:35together our air control, our air traffic control system, which was a conglomeration of
26:40all different systems in all different cities.
26:43He spent, they had hundreds of countries, companies working on it and they were spending
26:47billions of dollars.
26:49And when they turned it on, it didn't work.
26:51It didn't even work a little bit.
26:52That's why you had a helicopter crashing into an airplane that if we had a great system,
26:57bells and whistles would have started going off.
26:59So we are now in the process.
27:01We're in final bits of getting the finest system anywhere in the world.
27:05I've analyzed it.
27:07Sean Duffy has been working really hard on it, doing a fantastic job, by the way.
27:11And over the next two or three weeks, we'll be handing out the finest air traffic control
27:16system anywhere in the world.
27:18All the towers will be equipped.
27:20They were going copper wire into glass wire, into other types of wire.
27:25And if you knew anything, you know copper wire doesn't work with glass.
27:29You know glass doesn't work with other substances.
27:32And they spent billions of dollars.
27:34And when they turned it on, nothing happened.
27:36OK, we're getting the most sophisticated, all brand new, all brand new.
27:41Every control tower will have the same exact system.
27:44It'll be the most sophisticated system by far in the world.
27:46And what we've done is we've looked around other countries and we've taken the absolute
27:51best systems in every different form because there are different.
27:55You have lots of different companies like IBM and Raytheon and a lot of great companies.
28:00They're all bidding and we're going to pick the best one and it'll get built relatively
28:06quickly.
28:08And we're going to have the greatest air traffic control system anywhere in the world.
28:11Thank you very much.
28:12All right, our traffic control system.
