00:00EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has said she will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday in Scotland.
00:08In a social media post, von der Leyen announced a meeting saying her and Trump will discuss transatlantic trade relations and how they can keep them strong.
00:17The meeting comes as Washington's 30% tariff threat has reignited transatlantic tensions. Trump on Friday said there was a 50-50 chance, or perhaps less, that the U.S. would reach a trade agreement with the EU bloc, saying Brussels wanted to make a deal very badly.
00:37The EU has delayed retaliatory tariffs on exports from the U.S. as officials cramble to reach a trade deal with Washington ahead of the August 1 deadline.
