Maj. Nate Burnside of the Clearwater Police Department holds a press briefing on the death of Hulk Hogan.

00:00My name is Nate Burnside. I'm a major with the Clearwater Police Department. The correct
00:11spelling of my first name is N-A-T-E. Last name is B-U-R-N-S-I-D-E. I'm up here with interim deputy
00:18chief, Giant Clonfilter, from the Clearwater Fire and Rescue. Just before 10 a.m. today,
00:23Clearwater Fire and Rescue, along with the Clearwater Police Department, responded to a
00:27house in the 1000 block of El Dorado Avenue for a medical-related call. It was discovered at that
00:33time Terry Bollea, also known as Hulk Hogan, was experiencing a serious medical-related issue.
00:39Personal provided medical treatment at that time and transported Mr. Bollea to Morton Plant Hospital
00:44where he died at 1117 a.m. The Clearwater Police Department is conducting a death investigation
00:50which is standard in these types of cases. There are no signs of foul play or suspicious activity
00:56related to this call for service at this time. Our personnel is providing the family with the
01:02necessary resources. I'm strongly encouraging everyone to keep the family in their thoughts
01:08and respect their privacy during this difficult time. We will not be answering any questions but
01:13we will provide additional information when it becomes available. Any public records requests should
01:19be filed through our public records section with the Clearwater Police Department.
