00:09The Epstein Files issue is an issue that the MAGA base and Donald Trump ran on.
00:14It was their issue.
00:15We've been focused on lowering costs, saving health care,
00:18issues that the American public has been interested in.
00:20They made this an issue.
00:22So it's incredibly hypocritical for Donald Trump to now reverse a campaign promise.
00:27This wasn't a Joe Biden campaign promise.
00:28This is a Donald Trump campaign promise.
00:31And I want to remind everyone of something that the ranking member said in her statement.
00:35The members of this committee, the Republican members of the committee,
00:38including the chairman, have all called to release the Epstein Files.
00:43And so now they have an opportunity to make true on their work.
00:47Are they going to stand for truth, accountability, release the files,
00:51and what their base wants?
00:53Or are they going to essentially betray their voters,
00:55betray their constituents back home,
00:58and essentially lie to the American public?
01:00They're either going to be part of a cover-up today,
01:02or they're going to do the right thing.
01:04This is their opportunity to get the files in front of the American public.
01:07It doesn't really work.
