00:26yeah, he's got to work his way back into our good graces
00:29and I was saying I thought this was laudable of Tua.

00:51that follow the Miami Dolphins, that follow Tyreek,
00:54that are fans of his, everyone has seen that.
00:56So when you say something like that,
00:59you don't just come back from that with, hey, my bad.
01:03You know, you got to work that relationship up.
01:05You got to build everything up again.
01:08And yeah, it's still a work in progress.
01:12Not just for me, but for everybody.
01:14But like I said, he's working on himself.
01:17He's working on the things that he says he wants to get better with
01:22and do better on.
01:24So that's the first step to me.
01:26And so I commend him for doing that.

03:34And also, the thing that Tua has to work on,
03:37I mean, not Tua, Tyreek has to work on,
03:40is being less emotional.

03:49You're not with the Chiefs anymore.
03:50You're not winning Super Bowls right now.
03:52Stop getting emotional about things.

03:58I hope that's what Tyreek's working on with Tua says he's working on himself.

04:03Stop being so damn emotional about everything.

04:22It's why he'll go out there and have the big plays.
04:25And he'll chase 2,000 yards.
04:27Like, that's how he approaches life.
04:29But you also have to take some of the baggage that comes with that.
04:34And when there's rough patches throughout a season,
04:37he's not the guy that's going to stand up in front of the team and go,
04:41hey, guys, let's go.
04:41Everybody, you know, we've got to stay together as a team.
04:44He's going to express himself based on how he's feeling in that very moment.

04:48Like, I wish he could approach it the way Zach Thomas or Junior Seau would approach it,
04:54which is like, let's all stay level-headed.
04:55Don't let the highs get too high, whatever.
04:58But that's not who he is internally.
05:00Like, he's the kind of guy, which is why he's a great football player,
05:04and we love him.
05:05He's emotional.
05:06It's not why he can get 2,000 yards receiving.
05:10It's not why he can be the number one player voted by the NFL players
05:14as the number one player in the NFL.
05:15That's not emotion.
05:17That's talent.
05:19But in those four quarters, he is extremely talented.
05:22He's fast as hell.
05:23His nickname's the cheetah.
05:24But it's not why.
05:25Like, you don't need to be all up in your feelings to play well.
05:29If you do need to be in your feelings to play well, that's a problem, Solana.

07:33But he's shown us who he is.
07:36And when I think of Tyreek Hill –

07:41But I just don't think he's somebody – and, you know,
07:44maybe it's our own fault or maybe it's just the way that we've perceived it.
07:49But when we think of him as a captain, like, he has the captain band
07:52or was given that because he's a great football player,
07:55because he's the best player on the team, not because he's somebody,
07:58in my opinion, and I'm not in the locker room,
08:01that can be relied upon to rally the troops.
08:04Like, it's Tyreek Hill, man.
08:06He's a streamer.
08:07He says outlandish things.
08:09He slapped some guy at a dock because the guy talked a little trash to him.
08:13Like, that's not Junior Seau.
08:15That's not Zach Thomas.
08:17There's a difference between a captain who's looked upon to rally the troops,
08:21to keep the team in line, to keep order in the locker room,
08:24somebody who's respected, not per se because they're a great football player,
08:28but because of the leadership qualities that they possess.
08:31Tyreek Hill's never been looked upon that way, in my opinion, as that guy.
08:36So to hold him to that standard, he's always going to fall short of that.
08:41Always, consistently, as you're saying.
08:43Right now, Tyreek Overs, because I'm betting over 2,000 receiving yards.
08:47I think he's up to the challenge.
08:50I would just say, I'll use myself.
08:54I should not have been a captain.
08:57The captain should not fight on a Wednesday practice.

09:00If somebody takes a cheap shot, he shouldn't turn around and go dive at him
09:04and grab his face mask and try to poke his eyes out on run drill on Wednesday.

09:12It's the maturity.
09:13It's so many things more to being a team leader and captain at this level with all alpha males in the locker room
09:19than I even had the capability to do.

09:44Let him go run real, real fast down the field, get 1,700 yards, 11 touchdowns, and do his damn job.
