OZZY OSBOURNE HONOURED IN MILK AND COFFEE ART TRIBUTES
WITH PIX AND VID
By Shuk Yee Tsang
A creative fan honoured the late Ozzy Osbourne with striking tribute pieces made from coffee and milk.
These tributes was created by artist Wayne Wright, a 54-year-old printer from West midlands, UK.
The coffee portrait of Ozzy, from Black Sabbath, was painted directly onto paper as a lasting tribute.
In contrast, the milk portrait, created quickly on a glass surface against a dark backdrop.
Wayne only began painting five years ago when his daughter asked for a picture and he improvised with
coffee after running out of paint. Since then, he’s sold artwork around the world, including to celebrities.
Wayne said “As a fellow Brummie and fan of Black Sabbath, it was a no-brainer that I would immortalise Ozzy in coffee and milk, my favourite art materials.
“I was shocked to hear that Ozzy had passed away but also really thankful he performed his final concert and raised money for charity. He really was a superstar.
“People seemed to like my tribute. I suppose it’s a little bit wacky and different just like he was!
“The coffee piece took about an hour from concept to finish. The milk portrait probably took just ten minutes. I just wanted to get my tribute out there.
“Some paintings can take as little as five minutes, but more detailed ones can take days.
“I use Aldi’s own-brand instant coffee. I’ve tried all brands but that works the best.
“I chose oat milk purely by chance my local store gave it to me for free before it
expired. I thought, ‘hmm, wonder what it’s like to paint with?’ I was very surprised how easy it was.
“So long Ozzy. Gone, but certainly never forgotten by your loyal fans and loved one"
