00:00Renee, to your point, it seems like you can never count out Messi.
00:03And right now, Inter-Miami CF is plus 410 to win,
00:07followed by the teams that have better records,
00:08Cincinnati, Vancouver, San Diego, and Philadelphia.
00:11And I guess that just speaks to the star power that Messi is.
00:15Do you think that those odds are fair?
00:17Should they be the favorite?
00:18I think so.
00:19I think what the odds are counting on is that teams like the Philadelphia Union
00:23and San Diego in the West,
00:25those teams that are top of the standings for their respective conferences
00:27won't be able to maintain this throughout the rest of the season.
00:30As I mentioned, a team like the Union and Nashville got a lot of youth,
00:33a lot of new pieces that they are bringing in.
00:35And I think the expectation is at some point it's going to catch up to them
00:38and that they will maybe drop off.
00:40But a team like Inter-Miami, who's been top of the MLS
00:43ever since Messi stepped foot on this team, you can never count them out.
00:47They've got the veterans.
00:48They've got him, Busquets, Jordi Alba, a number of all-stars,
00:51a number of guys that have won before.
00:52So they understand the longevity of the season
00:55and how to be a top team when it counts most at the end of the regular season.
00:59So I think it's the expectation that there's going to be a switch in the table
01:02as we're about halfway through the regular season,
01:04that some of those teams that are top might drop off and vice versa,
01:08teams like Orlando and others that are maybe middle of the pack
01:12that might make a jump.
