On Tuesday, Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) introduced a motion to subpoena Ghislane Maxwell, an accomplice to sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, to testify in front of the House Oversight Committee.

00:00Welcome to today's hearing on potential reforms to a bid process, protest process.
00:07This is the hearing of the Subcommittee on Government Operations and the Federal Workforce,
00:11and we will come to order. And I'd like to welcome everybody. Without objection,
00:17the chair may declare a recess at any time. And I would recognize myself for the purpose
00:23of making an open statement. I understand the gentleman from Tennessee has a motion.
00:32Gentleman's recognized. Thank you, Mr. Chairman. I move to direct the chairman of the full committee
00:37to authorize and issue a subpoena for Ghislaine Maxwell to appear for a deposition.
00:44Thank you very much. That motion by the gentleman from Tennessee, all those in favor signify by saying aye.
00:51Aye. All those opposed signify by saying no. In the opinion of the chair, the ayes have it.
